Adorable studio-style cabin with pretty views! It is a small space but worked well for us. The kitchenette has a cooktop, microwave, kettle, and mini fridge so you can cook simple meals. There’s a shared bbq grill available for use too although we didn’t use it. (You may need charcoal - not sure.) Sleeping area included 2 twin beds together and a sleeper sofa. Fantastic location near waterfalls and the road to the Westermann Island ferry. Lots of interesting birds in the area too!

if you like warm shower-Don't book this place. Hot water in shower was only for 5 min. There were 4 girls in the group, some skipped shower some took cold shower. this place can't accommodate 4 persons, maybe 1. there was a note asking to conserve hot water. First person who took the shower conserved. And then we waited for an hour for hot water to warm up. the note lied - there was no hot water after one hour. I took cold shower standing in the corner, crying. It was pretty horrible. all my joy from the cuteness of the place and beautiful location was gone after the cold shower. Place was not worth the money. Disappointed.

The stay was really good, the cottage is very comfortable and has space even being a tiny house like is very spacious . The only problem is that there’s no hot water, you can have maybe 10-15 mins of hot water in a day! In a freezing snowy day it is not a good situation.

Such a unique living experience. Living in an own personal hut near the mountains is such a great way to be in the nature. Private parking available. There is limited hot water in the room but this is a given when living more off the grid.

Our stay was really peaceful. The location is ~2miles off of the main highway on gravel & we had a view of one of the larger waterfalls in the distance. Beds were comfortable. Pull out sofa was ok. Everything worked. Our sm 1 BR was well appointed. We stayed 2nts w/no issues. fyi: Hot water is not geothermal so there is a limit to the hot water usage. Check in was a breeze and there were ports to plug in an electric vehicle.

Very clean and comfortable accommodations, but quite small cabins. Hot water is limited, enough for one shower, need to wait 2 to 3 hours for another shower. No breakfast served and nearest food is about 10 miles away. Long gravel road to arrive, so remote off the main road in an already very remote area.

We had a very nice stay at the Bru Guesthouse. The location is close to a lot of attraction but feels secluded, with a nice outdoor space and even a grill. The cabin was very clean and comfortable, with good bedding. The only issue was the check-in process. We spent a good 30 minutes after we arrived sitting in our car and trying to figure out how to access our place, because none of us received an email that should have provided the cabin number and door code (there were 2 separate reservations). We had to look up our reservations through hotels.com and send a message (and the response is it can take a couple days to respond). Eventually the owner waved us over to his house to give us the info, and said his emails are blocked. I can only imagine how confusing this must be if you arrive at night and in the dark.

Great property! Very clean. Upon entering the guesthouse was very warm which was nice since Iceland is very cold in Jan. We were able to see the Northern Lights so clearly here since there’s very little light pollution. Area was very quiet. Would definitely stay here again.

Loved the area and the hotel itself it was clean and well maintained and had privacy that was amazing and great view of the land. The main negativethat really affected the guest house was the "double bed" which is an absolutely rock hard couch with 1 pillow and 2 scratchy couch pillows. It was comprable to slewping on the floor and i would highly suggest for the money paid to stay there they upgrade the beds.great location and view as i said but terrible comfort after a long day of hiking.

This location is remote, however PERFECT if you are making a day trip to the Westman Islands as it's only 15 minutes from the ferry terminal. It was a perfect place for us to land after a day in the south enjoying the iceberg lagoons, and easy to get up and get to the ferry for a morning ride to the Westmans. Very peaceful. A little tight for a family of 4, but well appointed and very clean. I would recommend!

This was such a cool little cottage! Just far enough away from the city but still close enough to restaurants and anything you might need. Beautiful waterfalls and other sites are just a short drive away! Kitchen had everything you might need for a few days and the beds in the bedroom were very comfy. The bed in the living room area was pretty hard but not unbearable. The shower water got warm immediately and water pressure was great. Highly recommend if you want to stay out of the city for a couple nights!!

Clean property with beautiful view and good location for hitting the Golden circle route. Overall reasonably priced versus hotel options in the area. If going with a family of over two, space will feel a bit cramped. Just going in with that awareness will make it a better experience.

I stayed in one of the regular cottages with my family (4 adults) and it was easily the best place we stayed on our entire Iceland trip. The cottage was small but comfortably fit all of us. Kitchen was well-equipped and we enjoyed plenty of cosy teas while admiring the amazing view. We didn’t have any issues with the shower/hot water- 2 of us showered in the evening and 2 of us showered in the morning. Excellent communication from the owners.

This was the best place that we stayed in Iceland. On a clear day, we can see the waterfall from our cottage. Bryndis and her staff were so easy to communicate with when we needed more household items. I highly recommend this place and we would rebook in a heartbeat.

My husband and I loved the guesthouse. Self check in and check out was simple and easy. The view from the guesthouse was immaculate. The building was warm and clean. The kitchen had the essentials. The communication with staff was fast and helpful. The beds were comfortable. We would definitely recommend this place and would likely stay here in the future.

Very nice place. We had 4 adults in room which was a bit tight but manageable. Gorgeous views and very quiet . Manager responded immediately when we needed something. The only thing is no conditioner in the shower, not a big deal but just know that ladies lol

Charming little guest house. Very comfortable and tastefully appointed. Cool architectural design inside and out. Large glass windows look out onto grassy plains and mountains in the distance - a lovely Icelandic scene (we were visiting from the US). Helpful and responsive support from staff. Highly recommended.

This place contactless check in which went smoothly due to having proper communication from the owners. This unit was spacious and comfortable. The kitchenette was adequate for cooking and fortunately I had some experience with cooking on an induction stove due to them having an induction unit to help us cook. this property is located next to one of the most famous waterfalls in Iceland that allows you to walk behind the waterfall. We could also see it from our room. This is a great location to explore this area of Iceland.

This location is remote, however PERFECT if you are making a day trip to the Westman Islands as it's only 15 minutes from the ferry terminal. It was a perfect place for us to land after a day in the south enjoying the iceberg lagoons, and easy to get up and get to the ferry for a morning ride to the Westmans. Very peaceful. A little tight for a family of 4, but well appointed and very clean. I would recommend!

Very clean and comfortable accommodations, but quite small cabins. Hot water is limited, enough for one shower, need to wait 2 to 3 hours for another shower. No breakfast served and nearest food is about 10 miles away. Long gravel road to arrive, so remote off the main road in an already very remote area.

This place contactless check in which went smoothly due to having proper communication from the owners. This unit was spacious and comfortable. The kitchenette was adequate for cooking and fortunately I had some experience with cooking on an induction stove due to them having an induction unit to help us cook. this property is located next to one of the most famous waterfalls in Iceland that allows you to walk behind the waterfall. We could also see it from our room. This is a great location to explore this area of Iceland.

Adorable studio-style cabin with pretty views! It is a small space but worked well for us. The kitchenette has a cooktop, microwave, kettle, and mini fridge so you can cook simple meals. There’s a shared bbq grill available for use too although we didn’t use it. (You may need charcoal - not sure.) Sleeping area included 2 twin beds together and a sleeper sofa. Fantastic location near waterfalls and the road to the Westermann Island ferry. Lots of interesting birds in the area too!

Loved this quiet cabin! Can see seljalandfoss in the distance. Would’ve been a great spot for aurora viewing, though we had a very cloudy night. Small kitchenette for any cooking you need, but we enjoyed dinner nearby at Hygge. Would stay again!

We had a very nice stay at the Bru Guesthouse. The location is close to a lot of attraction but feels secluded, with a nice outdoor space and even a grill. The cabin was very clean and comfortable, with good bedding. The only issue was the check-in process. We spent a good 30 minutes after we arrived sitting in our car and trying to figure out how to access our place, because none of us received an email that should have provided the cabin number and door code (there were 2 separate reservations). We had to look up our reservations through hotels.com and send a message (and the response is it can take a couple days to respond). Eventually the owner waved us over to his house to give us the info, and said his emails are blocked. I can only imagine how confusing this must be if you arrive at night and in the dark.

Fantastic location, particularly for spotting the Northern Lights. The place is modern, clean, and pleasant, even though it's small. While there's no full stove, a small stovetop is available. Remember to bring your own oil, but aside from that, the kitchen is fully equipped.

Property was clean and tidy and the management was responsive as we encountered a strong storm in the evening and he communicated ahead that the cottage was strong enough and that made us feel safer! A little out of the way but if you like the unique Icelandic feel in the middle of the country side then you will love it! Well stocked with great ground coffee and a French press! Wi-Fi was good and stayed up through the storm.

The property was near Thorsmork, close to our activity. It was a beautiful glass front cabin facing the mountains. Beautiful view from the front porch. Peaceful. Clean and had everything we needed. Will stay here again on my next trip to Iceland.

Beautiful location, comfortable bed and very well equipped kitchenette. Only spent a night here, but wish we could have spent a week! There's a grocery store nearby but note it closes fairly early, so plan accordingly. The host did us a huge favor in this regard and it was very much appreciated!
