Had a nice short break here. Room was fine (we had a balcony room with a great view). Shower was very good. Would be nice to have a lift as my partner struggles a bit with the stairs, but it was OK. Dinner in the main restaurant was superb and the waitress was friendly and helpful. Would stay again.

Great dtay at the Cliff. We had a partial Seaview the views were amazing. Breakfast was good but warm rather than hot. Food good quality. I feel the bar area whilst nice lacks atmosphere. The terrace has amazing views its a shame the nights were so cold as we couldn't use it fully but may be possible on a future stay. Renovations ongoing this affects the outside areas but didn't impact on us. Disruption was kept to a minimum. Reception staff and Breakfast service amazing.

Good value all round, stayed in a family room which was massive however the bathroom is very small. Breakfast was ok, portions are certainly large enough. Great views over the beach, the lobby/bar area are very nice and the outside seating area is very large.

Had a wonderful stay. My only complaint being that the hotel is not exactly senior friendly. Mainly because of the stair access to the rooms. I have a vision impairment plus brittle bone disease which makes the use of stars or even elevators difficult without assistance.

We chose the Cliff for it's location, right by the beach and long boardwalk. Though the hotel was clean it was dated in areas. Our room had lovely views of the sea, especially the sun rise. The room was clean, bed very comfortable. Our only complaint was the bathroom. Some black mould on the tile grouting and some tiles broken. The light was very poor and the ventilator, once activated, would not go off. Breakfast was excellent with good choices and well cooked. All staff were very pleasant, especially dining staff. Some carpeting in communal areas were very tatty.

Very tired hotel. Mattress was very stained and covered with extra sheets to mask rusty and stained devan. Shower has good pressure but is covered in lime-scale: sink did not drain and plug was broken. Woken at 7am when extraction vent below window was started.

Room was dirty with previous guests rubbish under bed. Small, very bad condition paint peeling off walls and doors. Bathroom tiny and shower leaked. Staff were very unfriendly and unwelcoming.

It was a really friendly hotel staff were helpful and friendly. Weather was on our side it was lovely and sunny few days. The room was clean but could done with the paint work being done and the chair in the room is on wheels and must be in all rooms as i could hear someone rolling around on it in the room appove which was annoying especially in the night. The terrace was lovely but the glass needs a good clean. Overall the stay was lovely and we would definitely go back.

All the staff were extremely helpful and friendly, nothing was too much trouble. The rooms were spotless and cleaned every day, including fresh bed linen. The food was delicious. We had a large room with a sea view, which was wonderful to wake up to.

Lovely stay at Cliff Hotel for the weekend and a really good price for an overnight stay in the summer small but comfortable room, very clean and bed very comfortable. No complaints at all and definitely will be back.

We stayed in this hotel due to being conveniently close to family we were visiting. The room was nice and the bed was very comfortable apart from the extreme heat. We were in room 105 and had a restrictor on the window which meant it couldn't be opened at all. There was a fan provided but due to the towel radiator in the bathroom being on full blast with no way of turning it down, the fan had little effect. It's a real shame as the bed was extremely comfortable but the heat meant we didn't sleep very well at all and woke up every morning feeling dehydrated. Some parts of the hotel are really showing some wear and tear and could do with some attention, however breakfast was really nice and had a good selection. The outdoor area is also very nice to have a drink. On the whole we enjoyed our stay but please do something about the heat in the rooms as this was a real negative for us.

Stayed at this hotel a few times as we have family in the area. The last few only as a base so can't comment on bar/food. Had no problem with free parking & all staff we dealt with were efficient & friendly. Hotel is in good location & well presented. Rooms are comfortable. Lovely staff working at the hotel, attentive . Breakfast was good , thank you to JARED and MAGGIE for looking after us. Restaurant bar staff were lovely too. We sat in the lounge for a couple of hours in the afternoon , such a shame there aren’t any cards dominoes scrabble chess or other games for guests to use as there are in many other hotels. The hotel reception areas , outside garden area and both restaurants were lovely.I was disappointed with the room 201 though . 3 flights of stairs and no lift ! Small , with not much space to move around .Bathroom was a tight fit too . Carpet didn’t reach the walls , was quite stained in many places . Limited storage area for your suitcase coats boots etc The bed was comfy and we both slept well.

We had a lovely stay for the two nights we had. We went for a double room with a sea view which also had a small balcony. Room was nice and big with a large bed. Usual amenities were available in the room, which was good. Everything in the room was clean and bed linen was changed daily. We had lovely cocktails in the dining area which was two for one, although you had to have the same cocktail. The rest of the hotal was well presented and staff were friendly and courteous at all times. The only negatives were the bed was quite hard and the pillows were extremely soft, but thats our preference. We were above the kitchen area so had a constant noise of the extractor fan going and the smells of what was been cooked at the time wafting into the room when doors or windows were open. But overall our stay was a nice relaxing one.

Room 203 is tired ! The shelf beside the bed fell off the wall but was fixed the next day. The head board was damaged and badly patched , the shower room towel rail / radiator leaked which we reported so it was turned off so the room was cold each morning, the curtains didn’t fit properly and let in the light. We had 1 packet of biscuits 3 mornings and none on the 4th despite there being 2 of us in the room. Having said all that the room was cheap and we couldn’t fault the staff. We enjoyed our stay. The menu in the restaurant didn’t state all the food that could be made gluten free but at the end of our stay the waiter and kitchen staff did adapt the food for my husband who has coeliac disease. We would have eaten in the restaurant more had we realised that earlier.

Great stay but did experience problems getting into the hotel once the door is locked, returned at 1am and took over 10minutes for the night porter to unlock, thought we would be sleeping in the car!

On arrival the reception staff were very friendly. The room was clean and tidy and overall the hotel was really nice. We ate in the restaurant on both evenings. Unfortunately on the second night we had an issue with poor service. I complained to the restaurant manager who acknowledged the problem and this was ultimately resolved to our satisfaction.

Stayed here many times however last two not so good. I could not park and had to wait one hour to get a space. When i got out of my car i was asked by a drunk person if i had a cigarette when i said no he asked if i wanted a fight ! I told reception who said they would move him on 20 mins later had to go backto my car and he was still there. When i went to the restaurant on the first night i was forgotten about and had to go.to the bar to ask why no one was taking my order, they apologised and my order was taken. On the second night even though only 4 tables were occupied ie not so busy the waitress walked past me several times and never asked me for an order. After 10 minutes i walked out and went to another hotel for a meal. Overall not a good experi3nce and will not be staying again

Feel the standard has dropped staff seemed inexperienced apart from receptionist bar manager and Kieran. Our meal was disappointing with grit in the muscles dish and in the 3 Linguine pastas. When we made waitress aware she said it was thoroughly washed. Breakfast lady was quite rude we made reception aware.

All the staff were extremely helpful and friendly, nothing was too much trouble. The rooms were spotless and cleaned every day, including fresh bed linen. The food was delicious. We had a large room with a sea view, which was wonderful to wake up to.

Our room was clean & tidy. The staff were pleasant & helpful. The breakfast, food in the evening & drink were good & reasonably priced. Overall we have no complaints & enjoyed our stay. Communication prior to our stay was good as the hotel kept us informed of any issues & events taking place. In the summer having direct access to the beach would be great for families. Yarmouth was not far to travel to. Thank you to all the staff.

Had a great stay.. staff are all so kind and helpful second time we have been , be back soon .one thing I must say I do think 2 staff members should do the breakfast as it was busy and tables were not being cleared and cleaned in time for the next group of people to appear, and maybe a little bit more staff training in that area other than that fantastic thank you.

We chose the Cliff for it's location, right by the beach and long boardwalk. Though the hotel was clean it was dated in areas. Our room had lovely views of the sea, especially the sun rise. The room was clean, bed very comfortable. Our only complaint was the bathroom. Some black mould on the tile grouting and some tiles broken. The light was very poor and the ventilator, once activated, would not go off. Breakfast was excellent with good choices and well cooked. All staff were very pleasant, especially dining staff. Some carpeting in communal areas were very tatty.

I booked a trip to be near the sea and this hotels location did not disappoint It’s a 2 minute walk from glorious golden beach as far as the eye can see I got up early and watched the sunrise - which was spectacular- and I was especially delighted to see seals bobbing right where the waves crashed into the beach Amazing views- although not from my bedroom which looked onto roofs The hotel is clean and comfortable- my room was small but adequate with a small shower room The corridors are cozy and there are 2 flights of stairs so be prepared to get your steps in! The receptionist was so welcoming and helpful I found the room was a little on the warm side for me Perfect for what I was looking for. -a quiet retreat in order to contemplate and be alone with my thoughts And glorious beach walks a plenty Would stay again

Ideally situated for going to a show at the Pavilion Theatre. Possibly not so good for people with mobility issues given the steep steps. Lovely outside seating with views over the beach and sea. Good food and excellent service.

Had a nice short break here. Room was fine (we had a balcony room with a great view). Shower was very good. Would be nice to have a lift as my partner struggles a bit with the stairs, but it was OK. Dinner in the main restaurant was superb and the waitress was friendly and helpful. Would stay again.

Lovely hotel in a prime location. Extremely helpful staff. The food is great (afternoon tea is a must, dinners are abundant and tasty, breakfasts are served in a cosy art deco setting.). The rooms are clean and comfortable. There was a slight issue of a vent system being very loud and disturbing our night. The reception was not aware of it and proceeded to fix it upon our departure- hope the gears are lubricated and quiet now

Everything ok but the breakfast scrambled eggs were stone cold and the salmon was part cold and part warm where it has been waiting on the hot plate and coffee took twenty mins to arrive. Would be nice to have oat milk in the rooms but lovely staff!
