Stayed 4 nights

The room I booked was dirty especially the toilet and the view looked onto a wall. Thanks to the kind man on reception I was moved to a much better room.

Stayed 1 night

The hotel is in a pretty terrible state. The new owners (who told us that the place hasn't been re-decorated since 1960) were very nice but they're still charging £115 a night to stay here. Storm Amy meant there was a total power cut – which wasn't their fault, but being offered a free drink after surviving a 15-minute walk from a nearby restaurant in a force nine gale would have been nice. Also, even without hot drinks and the use of a toaster, the breakfast on offer was not nice. I hope the new owners get it together, but I won't be visiting the Lochalsh Hotel again.

Stayed 1 night

This property was dated and moldy. The property owners tried to make it a good experience, but it’s just not a place I would want to stay again. They are in the process of updating everything, so you should wait until that happens before booking. The views were amazing. Just note there is nothing to do and limited dining options in the area.
