Perfectly placed hotel on the edge of the city centre. Right next to museums and Christmas markets. Hotel was very comfortable, had great breakfasts and very polite staff. The hotel gym has all equipment possible and the sauna is great after a day of visiting tourist attractions.

Good location just outside Innere Stadt and close to the metro. The hotel is beautiful and amenities were nice for the most part. We stayed during winter and the heat was cranked way too high inside the room, so we kept windows open most of the nights. We stayed in the small room with a king bed, which I can only recommend a small room if you are traveling solo or do not bring more than 1 carry on. Managing our suitcases in the room was really tough. Due to navigating the small space, the handle of the wardrobe door scraped my forearm. The bathroom was spacious enough although there is no shower door, only a half wall so you need to be careful not to get water all over the bathroom when you shower. The bathroom trash can is tiny. The fitness center has a lot more than we expected and was well equipped. Didn’t use the sauna. Enjoyed the coffee shop and we ate breakfast one morning which was good. Overall, would consider staying here again but would get a bigger room next time.

Hyggeligt hotel med en virkelig god beliggenhed lige ved Volkstheater og U-bahn. Meget roligt på trods af nærheden til byens seværdigheder. Værelserne er ikke kæmpestore men med rigtig gode senge og god rengøring - nogle vil måske savne et køleskab. Lobby/restaurant er virkelig hyggelige med stil a la boutique-hotel og giver lyst til at opholde sig der. Morgenbuffeten er meget god med stort udvalg for enhver smag. Køkkenchefen er iransk hvilket præger menukortet, som overvejende er vegetarisk ( check hotellets hjemmeside ). The rooms, staff, bar and location are perfect. It was a bargain for a nice hotel with a fantastic breakfast. I highly recommend this as to not be in the fast paced area in the city center. This is a 10 minute walk to the opera house where you can hop on hop off on two different routes. Fantastic.

The staff were so helpful and nice. Location was very central: walking distance to City centre, museums and Volkstheater subway. Favourite part of the hotel was the delicious breakfast surrounded by tranquil planting in the ground floor atrium. Great way to start the day.

We had a great 4 night stay at Hotel Gilbert in August. The rooms were comfortable, clean, modern design. The bed was super comfy. The breakfast buffet had a good selection and we loved the “overnight oats”. The restaurant /breakfast room is bright with modern wood and plants.

I enjoyed my stay at Hotel Gilbert very much! The hotel is very good located with easy transport links and restaurant offer in a short walking distance. The hotel is very pretty, comfortable and clean. The staff was great and very friendly. I'll def would come back.

The atmosphere was lovely and the location is excellent. The server staff didn’t seem to communicate well. I got forgetting about twice once during a time that was busy and once when it was not. I refrained from dining at the hotels restaurant because of this. The room was super clean but the pillows are unacceptable.

Hotel Gilbert is in the perfect location for sightseeing and dining. The inside of the property is aesthetically beautiful. Great breakfast. The glass of wine at happy hour was a welcome surprise, not only that they had one, but that the wine was very good! The rooms have been nicely updated. The bed was exceedingly comfortable. I loved everything about staying at this property and it was a very good value for the money.

The lobby is very nice with a wonderful restaurant. The rooms are compact but lovely and well designed. The staff were extraordinary. Amy, Dennis, Fredericka, Ahmed, and Elias made us feel at home during our 6 days there.

Nice hotel. Street facing rooms are very noisy if you have the windows open. We stayed in April and the room was hot for sleeping. AC not available until summer months. Rooms are very small. We had two suitcases and there was no where to put them.

Great Stay!….perfect location, access to metro and walkable to all sights. We even had our own Christmas Market on the next block. We visited 6 Markets in Vienna and this was the best! Front desk was extra helpful and always with a smile. Very affordable, for all we received. Would definitely recommend and we will stay here again when we return!

Der angebliche Manager war extrem unfreundlich, letztlich haben wir- noch nie vorgekommen!- unseren Besuch frühzeitig abgebrochen. Bei zwei Buchungen für 2 Nächte hintereinander schafft es das Management nicht, das richtig zu organisieren. Mitten am ersten Tag ein vorwurfsvoller Anruf, warum wir nicht bereits wieder ausgecheckt haben!... Beim Frühstück darf man 15min auf den Kaffee warten, und wenn man ihn dann endlich bestellen darf, dauert es noch einmal zu lange. Um punkt 10.30h wird der Vorgang zum Frühstücksbuffet zugezogen, ohne Vorwarnung, punkt Schluss. Zur Rezeption führen Treppenstufen, da schleppt man die Koffer hoch - nur um dann zu erfahren, dass man sie wieder runtertragen darf zum Lift; oben angekommen, wieder Treppenstufen - für nicht ganz junge Leute und mit schweren Koffern ein Problem. - Insgesamt ein unerfreuliches Erlebnis, der Kunde ist der Bettler hier. Nie mehr wieder... - es gibt genug kundenfreundliche gute Hotels in Wien.

The Hotel Gilbert is a gem in the heart of Vienna. The location is perfect for many famous tourist sites, but it is tucked down a quiet side street so it isn’t noisy at all. There are plenty of restaurants nearby. The hotel itself is delightful. Comfortable rooms with plenty of amenities, helpful, and friendly staff and great food combine to make a wonderful stay. Great Stay!….perfect location, access to metro and walkable to all sights. We even had our own Christmas Market on the next block. We visited 6 Markets in Vienna and this was the best! Front desk was extra helpful and always with a smile. Very affordable, for all we received. Would definitely recommend and we will stay here again when we return!

Perfectly placed hotel on the edge of the city centre. Right next to museums and Christmas markets. Hotel was very comfortable, had great breakfasts and very polite staff. The hotel gym has all equipment possible and the sauna is great after a day of visiting tourist attractions.

I enjoyed my stay at Hotel Gilbert very much! The hotel is very good located with easy transport links and restaurant offer in a short walking distance. The hotel is very pretty, comfortable and clean. The staff was great and very friendly. I'll def would come back.

Good location just outside Innere Stadt and close to the metro. The hotel is beautiful and amenities were nice for the most part. We stayed during winter and the heat was cranked way too high inside the room, so we kept windows open most of the nights. We stayed in the small room with a king bed, which I can only recommend a small room if you are traveling solo or do not bring more than 1 carry on. Managing our suitcases in the room was really tough. Due to navigating the small space, the handle of the wardrobe door scraped my forearm. The bathroom was spacious enough although there is no shower door, only a half wall so you need to be careful not to get water all over the bathroom when you shower. The bathroom trash can is tiny. The fitness center has a lot more than we expected and was well equipped. Didn’t use the sauna. Enjoyed the coffee shop and we ate breakfast one morning which was good. Overall, would consider staying here again but would get a bigger room next time.

Hyggeligt hotel med en virkelig god beliggenhed lige ved Volkstheater og U-bahn. Meget roligt på trods af nærheden til byens seværdigheder. Værelserne er ikke kæmpestore men med rigtig gode senge og god rengøring - nogle vil måske savne et køleskab. Lobby/restaurant er virkelig hyggelige med stil a la boutique-hotel og giver lyst til at opholde sig der. Morgenbuffeten er meget god med stort udvalg for enhver smag. Køkkenchefen er iransk hvilket præger menukortet, som overvejende er vegetarisk ( check hotellets hjemmeside ). Vi nåede desværre ikke spise der pga lukkedage i julen, men kunne se at gæster kom udefra til restauranten. The staff were so helpful and nice. Location was very central: walking distance to City centre, museums and Volkstheater subway. Favourite part of the hotel was the delicious breakfast surrounded by tranquil planting in the ground floor atrium. Great way to start the day.

Stayed for 3 nights with my mother. Lovely and clean hotel, room had all the required necessities great shower, air con and also lovely touches on welcoming! All staff were very welcoming and helpful, we requested an early breakfast on check out pre breakfast and they prepared a little box for us! location was perfect right by the museum quarter. The breakfast had overall decent choices and coffee to order which was lovely rather than just filter coffee option! I have seen more of a variety with the cooked breakfast elsewhere but we still enjoyed and very satisfied. A lovely hotel and interior, would recommend!

We spent 2 nights at Hotel Gilbert and it was great !! The room was spacious, clean, the staff was helpful and nice, and the breakfast was so good !! Plus, it was nice to see that the buffet was not overflowing with food that will eventually go to waste. They are very conscious about that and I liked it. We also tried the restaurant on the first evening and the food was amazing ! Would definitely recommend!
