Nightcap at Pymble Hotel

Good Points: Very friendly and helpful staff. Shops opposite and near to train station if you need this. Parking onsite although in busy times, you might not be able to get a space. Food in the restaurant for lunch and dinner was very good. Bathroom very nice and the place is very clean. Negatives: I hated my room. Room 11 is tiny. I'm so glad my husband was not with me. The TV is on the right hand wall instead of on the opposite wall. You have to crank your neck to watch it. I don't recommend Room 11 at all. When I booked, this tiny room was not shown in the photos at all. So I booked, expecting simple things like bedside tables - the room was too small for anything at all. The bed was underneath the 'windows' although these are covered in frosted glass meaning that you have no windows, can't open anything at all. Would I stay here again? Yes, only if I didn't get such an awful room.

Parking is very minimal. But due to pub being very busy.

I loved the room is very spacious, and very clean good service nice food and our 3 free drink vouchers the only downfall is no elevator we had to carry our suitcases up the stairs 😌 and it's on the main road but very busy. We only spent two nights but overall it was very good experienced and we had a good time on our stay. Thank you Nightcap Pymple Hotel

Needed an overnight for business travel. I’m loving Nightcap brand as for a very affordable option. Rooms are clean, modern, free bottles of water, ear plugs, usb charges built into the PowerPoints. And best is pub downstairs.

The stairs up to the accommodation level were too steep for 80 year olds. especially one on a walking frame. But overall we enjoyed our stay. The staff were very helpful and the food was great

The room facilities are exactly as displayed in the publicity and in fact the bedroom and bathroom were excellent and could not be faulted. However getting a parking space at the facility was a nightmare. I waited nearly half an hour for a hotel patron to leave before I could park. I was parked in the larger carpark as the smaller one was full. This necessitated walking through the pub going down lots of steps and stairs. On arrival at the small Reception Desk I faced a very steep staircase (the large one) and a smaller one to get to my room. The publicity states there are six steps to negotiate which I thought was reasonable. However, if I had known that I faced over 20 steps I would never have made the booking as I have a broken toe and tears to my hamstring from an accident. True the staff member helped carry my luggage up to my room which I greatly appreciated. This was quite stressful as I was exhausted after the steep climb. I was advised that I could order dinner from the room and it would be delivered to me but the QR code Order System was a Fail. Also, the Air Conditioning System was not effective as the room was quite cold. I have the same brand at home so know how to get heat etc. So please include a photo of the staircase to the accommodation so guests can make an informed decision about whether a booking is viable or not. My stay resulted in no Dinner (as I could not face going down all the stairs and then coming back up again) and no Breakfast (of the hot kind).

Great little place for an overnight business stay. Super clean and convenient if you need to be on this side of town for an early meeting avoiding the Sydney traffic. Very convenient parking available also. Beer on tap and great food...

Nightcap at Pymble is a regular hotel for us to stay in. The location and free parking is brilliant, not to upstage the affordability and always friendly, supportive staff. Great food and the free welcome drink is just an extra bonus for an already exceptional stay. Already booked in three more in the next month!

Very easy and friendly checkin. Very surprised to see a heritage listed hotel. However when we got to our room, it was very modern and the en-suite bathroom was huge! Complimentary bottled water, WiFi, toiletries, and earplugs. I thought it would be a bit noisy being on the Pacific Hwy and with the rail line behind. However the rooms were almost soundproof and earplugs were not needed. Very happy with our 2 night stay and would definitely stay there again.

Bedroom was small but clean, and the bathroom - while compact - had been refurbished. Ideal for a one night stopover. Depending on room you will get some traffic noise, although the hotel does provide earplugs which came in useful. Advantage of being above the hotel is that the bar is actually an older style, not crowded, and a decent place to spend a few hours in so you don't need to sit in the bedroom. There were two bedside tables in the room, a better idea may be one bedside table and a chair. The food menu is limited but the food was good for the price. Onsite parking is limited, so be prepared to wait a few minutes for another guest to leave.

Unfortunately, the bed had bed-bugs. Horrible itchiness afterwords. The steak was dry as a shoe-sole, chips were cold and seemingly just re-heated. Fantastic pepper sauce though. Very disappointed as I had been many times back in time with my wife and meal was always absolutely great! Was not the same now. The waitress and waiter at dinner time, absolutely on their best! Kudos to them.

I really enjoy this hotel. But some amenities like coffee and sugar were a little bit covered with dust. Except this, I was satisfied with staying there.

The room seemed to be clean. Check in was smooth although a little confusing since there was no proper check in counter. I had to go ask at the bar. The other thing that wasn't noted in the description is, there is no lifts and you have to walk up the stairs to get to your room. So if you have difficulty with stairs, please take note. Entering the room, I noticed 2 packets of ear plugs! However I didn't find the room to be that noisy. I had the room facing Pacific Highway. Being a long weekend, it was quite ok. I removed 1 star from the review because I had to dispose a cockroach in the bathroom on the last night. The other thing to note is the lack of ventilation in the bathrooms. If you have a hot shower, it takes time to clear and apparently from the warning sign, it might trigger the smoke detector! Otherwise it was an ok hotel for the money spend. I slept well and it was easy to get to.

Had a wonderful stay for 2 nights My Queen room was immaculate - loved the private bathroom. Dinner downstairs or in my room was delicious and incredibly generous Great staff as well I’ll be back for sure !

Very small rooms and noisy location

Good value hotel right next to the Pymble station. Recently renovated and the shower was amazing.

We really enjoyed our time at Pymble Hotel. Although being on a main road, the double glazing windows make the noise totally bearable. The room had been recently renovated with a clean and tidy design. The rain shower was a pleasant bonus. Highly recommended.

Room was clean, modern and very comfortable. Staff that I interacted with were excellent.

The only comment I would make is that there are no windows that you can see out of or open. There is natural light but the window itself is opaque. Made me feel a tiny bit claustrophobic, other than that it was perfect for my stay.

Probably something I should have thought about prior to booking; but my room facing the Pacific Highway was VERY noisy most of the night. Other than that I thought the room was good value for money and I was VERY impressed with the bed; white and clean.

The bed was comfy and the shower was hot. The room was tiny. Barely enough room to walk around the bed Windows frosted and could not be opened. We were there for 8hrs to sleep and wash up. It served its purpose but was expensive for what it was.

Great little hotel with a pub and food, great staff, and close to the train station. The only issue was the huge amount of traffic noise. The room was double glazed, but it was still very disturbing. However, after the third night, I didn't mind it as much.

Loved the art deco ambience. Check in easy, offer to carry my bags up the stairs much appreciated, the free drink and meal discount persuaded me to eat-in and have an earlier night. With trains so convenient I will be back, rather than stay in town with much more exorbitant prices.

We were notified during the afternoon of our stay that the room had been double booked and they had no accommodation for us The manager at the hotel suggested another 2 places to try. The first was unavailable and we took the final room at the 2nd option. Most difficult to deal with when travelling through the country areas on highways!!! Won’t receive a refund from Wotif for 9-12 business dAys

Great location, rooms have been fully renovated and new bathrooms were great wouldn’t have thought you were at a pub. Staff super friendly and helpful. Have already recommended to others and will definitely stay again.

A pleasant surprise with a nicely appointed room and modern ensuite. Location is a bit noisy but convenient to train line. The manager was very helpful.

The hotel is close to the tran station, so easy access to the city. Room was small and no table to sit at to work. Bed was too soft for me, but will be fine for others. The room was clean.

Excellent value for money, friendly staff and a great feed! Location very convenient, make sure you don't mind stairs, rooms well appointed and very comfortable. Enjoyed my stay!
