Great hotel part of a long business trip. Very rustic pub but great annexe buildings for the rooms. Loved every minute of this stay. Food was just fabulous and big hats off to the chef. Excellent staff. I arrived from a festival after midnight. The owner got out of bed and helped me get settled. He was friendly and welcoming. The rooms were clean with a traditional and modern decor. The room was advertised as a "single bed" but was actually contained a double bed with plenty of room. An unexpected bonus. Breakfast officially finishes at 9.30am. I arrived at 9.20am and was still served the full menu with extra portions and extra coffee at no extra charge without any rush. I'm a tall person. People who are tall may need to request a room with higher ceiling beams! The staff at reception mentioned they would be happy to provide this when these rooms are available as long as this is requested in advance. Wonderful experience all around.

Really friendly helpful and interested team working here. Room on the small side, but very nice and quiet away from the pub and had all amenities you could ask for. Good power shower. Beds a bit soft for my taste. Food in the pub was wholesome big portions and great breakfast choices so overall good value for a pleasant stay. We’ll be back. Oh and it’s a nice little village too.
