Staff were friendly and attentive. Location was great. Mattress and pillows were amazing along with the a.c flow in the room but the hotel in general appeared to be falling apart and in need of a serious upgrade and refresh . The elevators had tape on parts of the ceiling and buttons in 2 of the 3 working ones. In the room that we stayed in on the 20th floor it was not cleaned properly. Thankfully I bought my own cleaning supplies and bed covers. The duvet insert had stains on it. I had to disinfect and wipe down the surfaces including the bench and headboard covers multiple times. I throughly cleaned the bathroom with the limited supplies I bought. The towels were very thin, the toilet seat cover needed to be replaced. There was discoloration. There was mold and mildew in the shower and along the glass shower door. The glass self in the bathroom along with the towel and toilet paper bar were barely hanging on.

This hotel is located in the Financial District just steps away from the 9/11 memorial. From our room we had a grandiose view of both the WTC and the memorial, which is the major upside of this property. The hotel and its rooms are a bit of a mixed bag. It's an alright hotel, but our room was in desperate need of maintenance, years of neglect have left the room looking tired and battle-scarred. It didn't stop us from having a good night's sleep, housekeeping ensured that things were clean and pleasant.
