We have stayed at the hotel 3 times before, and we really appreciate the hotel and its location. The service everywhere, at the reception desk, the concierge and not at least in the restaurant was excellent, the food was fantastic, and the room was very nice with a balcony and a beautiful sea view. However, the condition of the gym premises was really bad, so unfortunately we were not able to exercise the way we had hoped for. The facilities in the pool area had room for improvements since it’s getting old and worn, especially the toilets and the changing rooms there were in a bad condition. We can strongly recommend the hotel and we will come back, but we hope they will improve the gym and the pool area so we can fully enjoy all the parts of the hotel.

Great spot right on the seafront Breakfast OK but not an outstanding choice of options provided. If you happen to be a Tea drinker, expect pots of hot water and small coffee cups. Food in Restaurant is good but very expensive compared to those equally as good just a short walk away. Cycle hire/Car hire/Taxi through hotel is easily arranged and competative. Outdoor pool is very good, with friendly staff, changing facilities, showers and poolside bar all provided. Sadly no toilets near pool.

I spent the last week of July at Makedonia Palace with my two boys and found the hotel to be generally impressive. Families are clearly considered. The outdoor pool was nice however, the fitness centre could be better (much). Our room was well‑designed and clean, and the staff were friendly and professional. However, the mattress provided for the extra bed was noticeably thin, which detracted from the otherwise comfortable accommodations. The buffet breakfast, while varied, could be improved for a hotel of this calibre. Minor enhancements to food quality and presentation would elevate the overall experience. Despite these issues, the hotel remains recommendable. The staff made our stay pleasant. With some attention to mattress quality and breakfast offerings, Makedonia Palace could fully match its five‑star reputation.

Amazing and luxurious hotel. A truly 5 star property. Everything was perfect ! from the room, the service, breakfast, pool and location - short walk on the boardwalk to nearby restaurants and shops. A bonus was a hair salon and spa which was wonderful! We would definitely like to return !

Good hotel , friendly staff , the location is ideal for exploring the city ! Housekeeping needs some training as they failed to stock on tea and remove dirty glasses. Found a dirty spoon on the coffee tray too. Small details make a difference but overall it’s a very good hotel.

La posizione è ottima e la struttura è molto carina. Le camere sono ampie e arredate abbastanza bene. Il bagno da rivedere, ogni volta che facevo la doccia si allagava. Il servizio non è molto attento. Le pulizie delle camere non sono all'altezza di un 5 stelle, e al check in non mi è stato offerto nessuno dei vantaggi di membro Gold. Colazione ottima e abbondante, ma anche qui servizio da rivedere, le bevande calde erano servite sempre circa 20 30 minuti dopo l'ordine quando avevo già terminato la colazione. Piscina molto bella e ben tenuta.

Some areas for improvements: - extra charge for certain coffee types and other egg menu items for breakfast seems petty for such a 5-star establishment, if breakfast is already included - the gym is in desperate needs of renovation. May be some signs or notice of renovation timeline would be helpful. - the handheld shower fixture in room 510 is falling apart, housekeeping staff should notify maintenance department to get it fix

Hôtel formidable! Bon emplacement et personnel aux petits soin et à votre service à tous moments avec grand respect ! Malgré un malentendu sur le prix de mon surclassment tout a été réglé pour nous satisfaire. Buffet du petit déjeuner parfait ! Très savoureux et pleins de choix en sucré salé. Salle de sport, piscine sauna,hammam etc très correct. Par contre pour les personnes qui ont le sommeil léger je déconseille fortement les chambres du côté ville. C'est très bruyant avec le bruit des voitures et moto qui circulent la nuit. Digne d'un 5 étoiles. Je recommande !

Second time we stay at this hotel and for sure we are coming back again. We trained personel, fantastic breakfast included. Our room had a balcony with a view of the bay and the pedestrian walkway along the shore. It was well worth the minimal extra cost for a room with sea view.

Meine Frau und ich unternahmen einen Trip nach Thessaloniki und wir übernachteten vom Sonntag 22. Mai bis Montag 23. Mai im Makedonia Palace. Wir waren schon öfter dort und immer sehr zufrieden. Der Check in war auch diesmal gut. Das Zimmer war ausgezeichnet und sehr gut gereinigt. Der Ausblick aus dem siebten Stock aufs Meer ist einfach traumhaft. Auch der Service am Abend in der Bar war sehr gut wie das immer war. Der Service beim Frühstück war eine Katastrophe. Die Tische waren nicht abgeräumt, nicht vorbereitet und es war waren Essensreste auf dem Boden obwohl wenige Gäste da waren und sehr viele Kellnerin. Es war eine unglaubliche Hektik und die Mitarbeiterinnen waren auch frech mit den Aufforderungen nach Handschuhen obwohl uns das vorher keiner mitgeteilt hatte und am Abend war auch von keinem gefordert worden Handschuhe zu tragen. Das war im gleichen Raum wie das Frühstück. Das akzeptieren wir nicht und deshalb kommen wir auch nicht mehr. Wir können dieses Hotel nicht weiter empfehlen.

Good quality hotel in setting on seafront between city centre and Kalamaria. Reliably good service. It would be good if they did not charge extra for „posh coffees“ at breakfast, as other 5* hotels in Thessaloniki do not.

Nice stay as always. Disappointing that cappuccino and espresso is now charged extra at breakfast. I guess this is embarrassing for a hotel where you pay around 300€ per night. It would be better to increase the room 10€ per night instead of asking for additional 3€ for a beverage that costs the hotel some cents.

We'd stayed at this property a few years before and decided to come back to Thessaloniki. The hotel has great sea views and a good size swimming pool. Breakfast has a very rich buffet and you can also choose a la carte. Special coffees are not included and you have to pay extra.

Fantastic hotel, however, I have never been to a 5 star hotel that charge extra for breakfast items ( Omelet, fried eggs, filter coffee). The hotel is really nice and a great location, but the penny pinching leaves you in doubt.
