Property is in a great location. Staff was great, we checked in late at night. Misleading about amenities like coffee and snacks (all in vending machines, not free.) No staff at the bar by the pool from 12:00-14:00 while we were visiting. We were placed in a room on the first floor and it was extremely noisy & bright being so close to the street.

The staff and house keeping were excellent. It is centrally located so street noise is to expected. However it was excessive. Sirens through the night every ten to fifteen minutes all night long. Partying on the street with yelling and carrying on 70% of the time. Difficult to sleep through the night. I have never been in a hotel anywhere that you have to pay 10 euros for a bucket of ice for your drinks in the room. They did have a water distillery on every floor which was a positive. Metro at your doorstep was also a positive. The front desk staff were very attentive and helpful and they spoke English which is big positive. Rooftop pool was out of order which was a disappointment but the bar on the roof offered a nice panoramic city view but limited seating.

Lovely hotel, easy to walm to most of the areas in madrid and right next to the metro, which made getting around and to and from the airport really easy, rooftop bar great with lovely views, especially at sunset, pool more for a quick dip and those who want to instagram their experience than for proper swimming but nice to cool off. Staff really welcoming and friendly. Breakfast also good, and with again lovely views.

I chose this hotel for the rooftop views and pool and the views were spectacular! The location was also perfect, right beside a metro station and very close to another. Lots to see and do in the area on foot. Overall the hotel doesn’t have much to offer, a very small outdated lobby, very old washrooms for public use and no other communal areas. The room was nice and I had a good view but it wasn’t very clean. There was lots of dust and dirt around the room and it seemed it had been tidied but not properly cleaned.

Friendly and helpful staff greeted us every time we came through the door. The hotel is quaint, but immaculately clean and well designed. Great beds, nice shower and plenty of space in the bathroom. Our room had an excellent view of the plaza and the views from the rooftop bar were even better. The metro station is directly in front of the hotel entrance and countless restaurants are only a short walk. This street is also Madrid's equivalent to Broadway and has all the theaters running major productions (we splurged and got last minute tickets to The Lion King because we couldn't pass on the opportunity). Central to everything you'd want to do as a visitor to the city. Great price, great amenities, and you couldn't find a more convenient location.

Lovely clean hotel with very nice staff. Only a couple of down points: - only 1 lift was working our entire stay which meant some long wait times as hotel was fully booked (they did however have engineers working on it) - the rooms could be better sound proofed (quite noisy from the street etc - we were on 6th floor) - the shelving in the bathroom opposite the toilet is a bit of a hazard if your tall - was lovely having the plunge pool and bar area but they are very limited for space around it (not sunbed just cushioned chairs etc)

This is a wonderfully central hotel and very walkable to many sites. The staff were so helpful and very friendly. Beautiful (but small) rooftop bar/pool area- not much seating but the delicious mojitos made up for it :) Our room was fairly clean except a few boogers on the wall and one on the blanket that we noticed as we were leaving. There was also a rotten apple underneath the shelving that I could see from the other side of the room. So housekeeping could do a slightly better job but overall it was clean. The hotel was able to hold our bags for us until our room was ready and got a whatsapp message when it was ready, slightly earlier than check-in. Would stay here again!

I was traveling with teenage boys. This was the perfect location, in the heart of the theatre district with tons of shopping and restaurants, just outside the metro station, and walking distance to lots of sites. Despite being in a busy area the room was completely quiet with the window closed. The room was lovely, shower was excellent, the staff friendly and helpful. The rooftop pool is exactly what the picture shows and not an inch more, it is small and when we tried to go it was too crowded to join. Other than that it was an excellent place to stay and I’d return if going to Madrid again.

We enjoyed a quick two night stay at Dear Hotel Madrid in a standard room with a terrace on the 7th floor. Room was small but well equipped, view was great and windows were very soundproofed. A/C worked well & mattress was comfortable. Only two king sized pillows on bed, fyi, for those who like multiple pillows (they’ll send up extras if asked). Terrace was a little small & terrifying so we didn’t sit out there but instead enjoyed looking out with the door open. Hotel itself is located in a busy area but easily walkable to the palace/Temple of Debod/theaters/tons of restaurants. Hotel carpet looking a little worn and lobby very no-frills, but we didn’t mind that. Rooftop bar was small but nice, as was fun rooftop plunge pool. Reception extremely friendly and helpful with setting up airport transfers, restaurant recommendations, and sending up an extra pillow to the room.

Très bon séjour et bon accueil, la chambre était spacieuse et agréable. Seulement petit bémol sur les rideaux et le bruit. J’étais au premier étage côté gran via, malgré du double vitrage c’est tout de même un peu bruyant mais surtout les rideaux laissent passer la lumière et donc difficile de dormir.

Das Hotel hatte keine funkitionierende Klimaanlage. Das Fenster konnte man nicht auflassen, das es sehr zentral in der Stadt lag und der Lärmpegel sehr sehr hoch war. Dadurch hatte man keine frische Luft im Zimmer.

The hotel did not disclose that there was no air conditioning during the winter months. The room was very hot and uncomfortable causing it very difficult to sleep. My room was located off the street and it was nosy. I did like the watering station.

Friendly and helpful staff greeted us every time we came through the door. The hotel is quaint, but immaculately clean and well designed. Great beds, nice shower and plenty of space in the bathroom. Our room had an excellent view of the plaza and the views from the rooftop bar were even better. The metro station is directly in front of the hotel entrance and countless restaurants are only a short walk. This street is also Madrid's equivalent to Broadway and has all the theaters running major productions (we splurged and got last minute tickets to The Lion King because we couldn't pass on the opportunity). Central to everything you'd want to do as a visitor to the city. Great price, great amenities, and you couldn't find a more convenient location.

The hotel was great! Reception wasn’t the best. But made up for at the breakfast restaurant, all the best were superstars there. Would maybe be back, but definitely need a more friendly reception staff.

Elena at the front desk was amazing, everyone was incredibly hospitable. Hotel was in the perfect location, right next to the metro and nearly everything we wanted to see was walkable. The downstairs area was incredibly helpful for us to decompress, change, and go about our day before our 3:00pm check-in. I would stay here again in a heartbeat.

Cute and fun hôtel. It’s right in the center which makes it easy to commute. The staff were very Nice and accommodating. Some of the things I had issues with are 1. I think they allow people to smoke in the rooms and there’s a cigarette stench left over. 2.The hallway smelled like a bad men’s purfume. The scent was way too strong, felt nauseous every time I walked out. 3. To grab breakfast and dinner, a reservation must be made, which is not ideal if you decide to change plans. I also didn’t like that they didn’t have a proper lounge area so I can work. They have a rooftop bar, but you can’t order drinks and bill it to the room. Needed to walk with a credit card at all times. The bar tender was also a bit rude. But overall, it’s a nice place.

Perfect location for a friends’ retreat. We are four high school friends and luckily we found a conjoined two rooms to fit out needs. And.. it is 10 min walk to the palace, plaza mayor, and the shopping destinations off Gran Via. Metro stops for theee lines, 2,3, and 10 right outside of the hotel door. Very nice stay for us

Lovely hotel, easy to walm to most of the areas in madrid and right next to the metro, which made getting around and to and from the airport really easy, rooftop bar great with lovely views, especially at sunset, pool more for a quick dip and those who want to instagram their experience than for proper swimming but nice to cool off. Staff really welcoming and friendly. Breakfast also good, and with again lovely views.

Hotel is in a very good location, walkable distance from interesting places. Hotel needs some maintenance, replace carpets, etc. Breakfast is good, however the area is small compared with hotel size and you need to reserve a time. Front desk Adrian and Paula were very helpful. Raul and the guys at restaurant were also very polite and attentive.

I booked this hotel for the airport shuttle service. It said to mention this so it could be scheduled. When I checked in (Friday) I mentioned needing the airport shuttle on Monday morning. I was told they could help me schedule a taxi. No shuttle. Phone in the room didn’t work so I had to go to the lobby to make a request. Coffee was only instant. Breakfast didn’t start until after 8am so we were unable to use the breakfast we added to our 2nd night. Rooms were fine but shower amenities did not fit in the holders and could not be used. A weird side table blocked the fridge and needed to be moved to access it. Without the airport shuttle I would definitely wouldn’t stay there again.

The hotel is contemporary in design, but not as well thought out as it could be. There was no work surface in the room that made it easy to use a laptop. There is no shelf in the shower to hold anything. No in-room coffee pot. The "eye" for design conflicts with usability. More easily correctable is its little-less-than-acceptable housekeeping.
