It was clean, everyone was super nice. Breakfast buffet was amazing and it was a 10 minute walk tops to all the downtown shops and restaurants. ONLY downfall is the parking situation. There is one very small lot for the actual hotel, other than that it’s street or public lots that you may have to pay for. Otherwise, fantastic place, would stay here again. Bonus for me, a towel warmer

The hotel is very friendly and knowledgeable with 24 hour service. Very clean, great breakfast, a happy hour with a bar, bed is comfortable, clean showers and crisp sheets.

Nice hotel. Staff was very helpful and friendly. The location was great and near many attractions. The only downsides were that there was no restaurant (plenty within walking distance though) and only around 10 parking spaces for the whole hotel.

Parking is terrible

We were there for only two nights visiting family. This was our first time staying at a Kea hotel. We found it clean, modern, and in a good location. The continental style breakfast was good and had a nice selection of items. They do have parking, but it is extremely limited and I wouldn't rely on getting a spot. You can pay for parking on the street from 9am to 9pm. We definitely would stay there again the next time we are in Reykjavik.

Just when it says that it has parking available. A hotel of 150 rooms. They have only 11 spots of parking for hotel guest

There are about 15 parking spots for the entire hotel. So.

Service is good and room is clean. However, parking is quite painful. The hotel's garage was full and we needed to park on the street and pay for it after 8am.

We were pleasantly surprised by our choice in picking a hotel in Reykjavík! All the staff we interacted with were polite, competent, and efficient. The room was very clean, and the breakfast was plentiful and tasty! I’d definitely recommend the Storm Hotel, and would stay there again.

Hotel is very good without being luxurious. Rooms smallish but very adequate - all very clean, comfortable and modern. Breakfast is nice but limited. Location is very good - not far from the waterfront and ideal for bus stop 12 and the tours that pick up/drop off from there.

Perfect for an overnight stay post cruise. We were able to pre-check in early and store bags. Room was clean, comfortable and though small was fune for a short stay. Breakfast was included and was excellent with plenty of choices. Hotel was ideally located for tours and airport bus, with most tour operators able to stop outside. Restaurants and shops were a short walk away. Staff very friendly and helpful.

The rooms are too small with too little areas to store anything. The bathroom sink is tiny. There is no tissue anywhere in the room. The mirror is too high. Only has a power outlet on one side of the bed. All in all, quite disappointing except for the staff which is exceptional.

The rooms are ridiculously small, no AC or fan to move the air around. Breakfast was ok. Shower water pressure is poor. Towels are threadbare, and minimal number, no closet, no drawer space, especially if you're there for more than 2 days.

Clean, modern, and efficient. However, hotel felt more like a hostel than a hotel. Bathroom was terribly cramped with a ridiculously small sink. Room had no ventilation and street noise made it difficult to sleep with the window open. Decent location but a mile walk to the city center.

Convenient to the cruise port and to walk downtown. Rooms are small but adequate. Strange open showers in the bathroom where the water ends up all over the floor.

Most of the staff is very nice, the rooms are clean but supersmall. There are no storage areas or shelves. The "work-table" is 28x80 cm (make sure your notebook isn't too big ;-). No storage or shelves in the bathrom as well. In the room is just a hanger (approx 30cm but no cabin to store any cloth. Breakfast is simple but OK .The breakfast room is too small for all the guests. I stayed thee nigts, my bed-sheets were never changed even if I agreed for a change after two days). My personal opinion - overpriced and not suited for a business stay.

The Storm hotel is a lovely quiet, clean and comfortable hotel. Great breakfast! As with many hotels in Reykjavik, you are unable to control the temperature in your room; this our sleeps were a little on the warm side.

We had a two-night stay reserved and chose this hotel because of competitive pricing and the fact that they offered parking - which can be hard to find in downtown Reykjavik. We wrote to the hotel more than a month in advance informing of the need for parking and requesting a reservation of a parking spot. However, upon arrival, I was greeted by a very impolite front desk clerk who told me there was no parking available and suggested I might find free parking in the street (P4 parking is free on weekends, but you have to drive around and try your luck to find an empty spot). I asked where I could stop the car to unload the bags and he just said the neighboring lot was private but that I "might" not get a fine if I were quick. I found this a very poor welcome. It seems to me the hotel should not advertise parking if it can not offer it to the guests. Other hotel staff was kind and welcoming but this one man should not be in service with that attitude. Breakfast was included, as is usual in Iceland, and offered only cold food choices, with a modest variety. Soundproofing was subpar in rooms - we got woken up by vacuuming by cleaning staff and other guests walking above both days. The only toiletry avaliable is shower gel, whish doubles as shampoo (if you want to risk it). No conditioner, body lotion, shower cap or any of the usual amenities.

The staff at reception was so helpful, such as suggesting where to go, booking a tour and switching my fly bus pick up time. Suzanne was particularly awesome! Thank you.

The Front Desk staff, especially Ivona, was absolutely perfect. They were professional and friendly and answered all the questions we could think of.

I had an unfortunate tragedy occur during the flight to Iceland where my wife passed away. The staff here at Storm hotel were over and above extremely accommodating, kind and caring. They had a room ready for me early and blocked it off for me for the duration of my extended stay. The clerks at the front desk were all so nice, caring and friendly, and made me feel as comfortable as possible. When I hadn't been down to breakfast they graciously brought food up to my room for me. Words cannot express the gratitude I have for the staff and managers of this hotel

Very efficient and friendly reception. Bed comfortable and good shower. Everywhere very clean. Breakfast buffet excellent. Can recommend Grazie Tratorria and Potturinn og Pannan restaurants, both less than 10 minutes walk away. 20-25 minutes walk to city centre.

Reception staff was outstanding. They are knowledgeable, professional, and very pleasant.

My flight was changed, and I was arriving six hours earlier. I reached out to the hotel days before and requested an early check-in. I was told that there would be a charge which I was fine with. When I arrived They told me they could not get me in early, I had six hours to wait & more insulting was that they would not even let me and my daughter go and have breakfast because technically I wasn’t checked in yet. The entire front staff was indifferent, aloof, and unfriendly. I would never stay here again.

Great customer service and we felt very welcomed. Breakfast very enjoyable with friendly and helpful staff in the breakfast room I would thoroughly recommend this hotel and would definitely stay here again! Fantastic stay! 😊

A basic but very clean hotel with extremely helpful staff and very comfortable beds. The breakfast buffet is ample with something for everyone but not huge like the Swedish hotels.

The room is clean. Breakfast is great, healthy food. And i love the location, esp everytime i go to my tours i dont need to go anywhere for pick up bec my pick up location is just outside my hotel, very very convenient. And of course the staffs are nice.

Helpful staff, good location, clean, quiet, good breakfast. They prepared a breakfast to go when we checked out at 5:30 AM to go to the airport - really nice Not as close to downtown, but short bus ride or a nice walk away. More restaurant choices were downtown

Located at Bus Stop 12 was key to.our trip as was easy walking distance to the centre of town.

Storm Hotel is compact and efficient. You won’t get a spacious room, and it probably won’t have a stunning view, but it will be clean and have all the necessities. In other words, a typical Reykjavík hotel. There is no restaurant, but the hotel serves a simple buffet breakfast in the morning. There is a small lobby bar, drinks only, open in the late afternoon and evening. (You can easily cross the street to Bjor Garðarinn for more food and drink choices.) The east end of Laugavegur, the main shopping street, is a 7-minute walk from the hotel, and the downtown center is a 25 minute walk. If you’re going farther afield, most tour operators will tell you they can’t operate buses in the city centre, and will direct you to “Bus Stop #12” for pickup rather than the hotel. Bus Stop #12 is literally right in front of the hotel! The reception staff were always friendly and helpful. If your flight arrives well before check-in (as most from North America do), they will store your luggage free of charge so you can enjoy a day in Reykjavík. Or you can ask for an early check-in. It’s not always available, and it will cost €30. If you’re renting a car, be aware that the hotel has limited parking. You may need to find a paid parking spot.

Very nice hotel in the best location. It was walking distance to coastline and Main Street. The front desk staff was welcoming. The room was comfortable and breakfast was delicious. Thank you.

The hotel was in a good location, walkable to shops, restaurants and sightseeing. The room was clean and comfortable however a little small and could use better lighting in the bedroom. The staff was amazing, they were able to let us check in a little earlier as well provided a bag breakfast to go as we had to leave before the breakfast time began. I would stay there again.

Breakfast area is very congested. Some biscuits, small plate and a glass would be a good addition to small tea and coffee area in the room. Reception staff were very nice and helpfull. I like the free computer access and printing document facility at the reception area.

The room was airy feeling, stylish and modern. There was place to hang clothes, and a fridge. The reception were very professional and well mannered. You don't get manners like that everywhere and it is a refreshing change. The breakfast was wonderful. There was plenty of everything with waitresses refilling regularly. They even had a delicious chia seed pudding for those who are lactose free and gluten free. The coffee was awful though, and tasted like chlorine. They give guests undrinkable coffee then expect that you should pay for coffee made with a proper espresso machine, which in my book is not good enough. One thing we didn't like was that there was no door on the shower and no curtain, so the whole bathroom got wet when we showered...so you better not try to go to the toilet in socks in the middle of the night.

There was no early breakfast available. We were not aware of that when we booked it.So, we had to leave without breakfast.

Excellent hotel. Everything thoughtfully done, including leaving coffee and croissant out for guests who had to leave before breakfast started. The physical design was also impressive, both in terms of aesthetics and functionality. Friendly people at the desk and in the restaurant, nice breakfast with several options. Was initially concerned it would be too far from the center of Reykjavik but we found a great one — Reykjavik Kitchen — nearby.
