We really enjoyed our stay. The kids (9 and 5) had a blast swimming and playing on the big water trampoline. Life jackets were provided. There were also paddle boats, kayaks and canoes to enjoy as well. The beach was clean and a nice sandy walk-in to the water - no stones. Our room was a standard double Queen - very roomy and clean. All the rooms have a balcony and face out to look over the water. The restaurant was very nice with good food. I would say the only problem may be that it seems they are very understaffed as you had to reserve a time to go eat as if you didn’t they would not be able to take you as they could only accommodate a certain amount at a time. However, the staff that do work there are all very friendly, extremely hard working and do everything they can to make your stay enjoyable. We’ll definitely be back!

We stayed in a suite with a view of the lake. This is the only place I stayed in where the A/C was not aimed at the bed so points for that. The room was decent. The grounds did need some maintenance and the water pressure in our room fluctuated a lot. There were plenty of beach chairs but only 3 umbrellas. We had reserved a table for dinner but the power went out for most of Parry Sound including thecresort so we had to dine elsewhere. We did have good breakfasts each day. Its a very relaxed resort and we will likely return next year.

The manager Heather and her staff were outstanding from the time we checked in, until we left. The beach is raked every morning and breakfast is included in the cost of the stay. Love that canoes and kayaks are included as well. The grounds are surrounded by beautiful trees and so peaceful, good for the soul.

Sand everywhere. Room was not throughly cleaned. Closet doors did not move easily as there was so much sand. Left to have room made up. They came in and only left clean towels. Coffee not replenished cups not changed and bed not made. We even left a tip in the envelope!!!!!!!!!!

This property was really beautiful and relaxing. Only issue was that we were there for two days and the first day we went on a day trip and asked for our room to be cleaned up - bed made, towels changed, and maybe a sweep and garbage removal - basically maid services and it was not done. Had to phone the front desk for new towels as we had to clean the floor (removed sand and dirt) ourselves with the towels and had to make the bed up. As well, the shower curtain needs to be changed as it was moldy/musty smelling when the shower started.

We stayed at Tappattoo for 5 days in early October 2023. The resort is spotless clean, with comfortable accommodations, spacious rooms with soft beds, and balconies overlooking the quaint beach area. It offers canoe and kayak and paddle boat rentals. The lake is quiet with no major traffic. The staff was super friendly and accommodating. The food at the resort restaurant was truly excellent. We got free buffet breakfast as part of our stay. I would highly recommend this resort to anyone who loves the outdoors, nature trails, water sports, and general area exploration by car. It was all very lovely.

The room was very clean and updated. We had an excellent view. The hallways need updating and cleaning. So many stairs!!! The beach area was lovely, great for swimming and relaxing. Canoes and kayaks were readily available. Unfortunately, the geese loved the grass area, and there was poop everywhere. The breakfast buffet was very good and included in thr room price. Make dinner reservations the day before or in the morning if you want to eat before 8 pm.

Our newly renovated room was beautiful, the only complaint was the bed was wobbly (but comfortable). Everything else was wonderful. We were there to celebrate our 50th anniversary and we enjoyed every minute. The food and service was very, very good.

The place overall was nice. The room was clean. Airconditioning was extremely loud. Can only use when away from the room. Shower was loud. The pipes were knocking. Wasn't sure if it was going to explode. Pressure was on and off. Food in the restaurant was good. Overall decent stay.

A beautiful resort on a beautiful lake! Breakfast was lovely! Beds were comfy, the lake view balcony was a nice touch! My only complaint is that the jetted tubs needed a deep clean(vinegar with water and run jets.) The shower was nice and the room size was great!

Beautiful property on a private beach, decent breakfast and good, well-priced restaurant for dinner. Our room on the 3rd floor was large and had a nice view of the lake. But the a/c had problems, just the fan was working, not the cooling system. Quite uncomfortable in the early Sept. heat. The hallway carpeting was worn out and dirty, I hope it will be replaced soon. Very helpful and friendly staff, especially at the restaurant. A good experience overall, we will be back.

Was generally quite good. Suggestion though: Housekeeping Staff should check items work...bedside lamp wasnt plugged in as it had no extension cord but was given one when i asked, room TV didn't work as possibly remote or cable box issue.

The location on Otter Lake is lovely. There is a small beach and an indoor swimming pool. The room we stayed in was large, carpeted with a tv, small fridge, microwave and coffee maker. Breakfast was included in the reasonable price. The staff were friendly and helpful. The view from the breakfast room is an unobstructed view of the lake. The breakfast itself was buffet and okay. The room had a gas fireplace a comfortable bed and thankfully cotton sheets ( hate polyester) There were a few finishing touches that were missing… no plug cover for the air conditioning unit. The room was hot. The shower gave plenty of hot water but more water came out of the tap at the bottom than the basic shower head. The fan in the bathroom sounds like an airplane taking off and should be looked at.

Guests were not given much information regarding the resort and how it operates. Upon check in the only info received was how to get to our room and that the restaurant requires a reservation for dinner. No info on pool hours, the use of water equipment or how and where to access life jackets and paddles. No info on breakfast hours. Some printed materials and a resort map would've been great for guests to easily navigate the resort property.

We loved the private beach and options for paddling/kayaking around the lake. That's where the compliments end. The hotel is woefully understaffed and our "suite" was outdated with a broken TV (broken wires and a shoddily cut hole in the wall), broken phone, and lack of sheets provided for the pull out sofa. Lightbulbs were burned out and AC did not seem to work. We tried speaking to staff but they seemed overworked and not really able to help with most things. Service in the restaurant was hit and miss, very slow the first night (1 server for the whole place) and some food running out at the breakfast buffet. The worst part is when I tried to get some kind of compensation (mostly for the TV and lack of sheets), they refused to communicate with Expedia, so beware booking with them on this platform.

Catered to dietary needs at breakfast, above and beyond and even remembered us the next day. The vibe was warm and hospitable. 1 point i want to mention is that there were no more pool towels and no way to call for sime more. Didnt want to call emergany line. 839pm saturday.. Will definitely stay again!

Second visit this winter, we love this place! Everything you need for a Muskoka vacation in summer or winter. Great breakfast included, nice rooms with views, lots of easy parking and great pool and sauna amenities. And WONDERFUL staff, they really do everything they can to accommodate any of your requests (certain rooms, firewood for the fire pits, outdoor equipment to loan such as snow shoes or fishing rods). We will be back!

We had a fabulous time at Tappattoo! Everyone at the resort or amazing, friendly and accommodating. The restaurant food is delicious and the breakfast has a good variety to choose from. This is our 3rd time staying here and we will be back in the summer. See you then! 👍👍❤️

We stayed for 3 nights this past weekend. The property is beautiful. It’s quiet and clean. The lake is the highlight for sure. They have canoes kayaks and paddle boards and boats that can be used free of charge which is nice. There’s also a water trampoline and a dock you can jump off of. Definitely bring water shoes, the ground is mushy. They have life jackets available but only adult sizes, so bring your own kids ones. There’s also a fishing boat you can rent to explore lake otter if you have a boating license. We took the boat out for an hour for around 70 dollars. It was well worth it. Beautiful views. The rooms are spacious and clean, the only downfall is there is no water pressure and the water cuts in and out constantly. Especially first thing in the morning when use is high. There’s a restaurant on site, breakfast was included with our room. The food wasn’t great but I was happy with the selection and the fact it was included. We all found something to eat. We waited 50 minutes for our lunch the day we arrived, and the restaurant was empty. Not sure what happened there I think maybe they were short staffed. The staff were a little underwhelming. Not very friendly. One lady was pleasant, I forget her name, but everyone else seemed to not enjoy their job and didn’t smile or say hello. Overall, this is a great bang for your buck. Reasonably priced for what you get. The lake is beautiful and we would come back just for that alone.

Our stay here was ok but would probably not stay here again. Staff had a "don't really care attitude" Although it is the fall the atmosphere here is far from welcoming or fun, although resort amenities are decent. The Room, been renovated and is lovely. However, fireplace broken, window would not open, electrical is erratic and it was not clean! Included breakfast was great, although dinner expensive for pub food but very good. Weekday service in dining room was again very non caring.

This is a very family friendly resort with a great beach and lots of waterfront equipment. The weather was chilly, so we couldn't enjoy the water as much as we would have liked. The bed was wonderful and we enjoyed the in room gas fireplace to take the chill off. The proximity to Parry Sound was wonderful and allowed us to enjoy what this town had to offer. Great biking in the area with a super bike shop beside a wonderful farmer's/craft market.

Favourite winter getaway with amazing food! We love to visit this little resort in the quiet off season. It's so peaceful. Great place to relax and enjoy delicious meals with a cozy feel and beautiful view of the lake. The staff have always been lovely. Our newly renovated room was fantastic, especially the shower. We have really enjoyed getting away for a few days each winter the last three years here and it's starting to feel like home. We always wish we could just stay here forever.

We had a very nice 3 days at the Grand Tappatoo. Lovely location with a beach and lots of watercraft to borrow. The beds were comfortable and nice linens and towels. But the building we were in was a bit tired with outer door that banged everytime someone came in at night, old carpet, noisy airconditioner and broken balcony furniture. We enjoyed breakfast and the servers were all great. Dinner was good but a wait of over an hour from ordering to serving was unacceptable and the manager's comment when I mentioned this the next day that it was not" a fast food restaurant " was ridiculous.

I like the location itself — a good view and a nice small beach. Our room was also pretty nice; it seems to have been renovated not long ago. The pool is big and has a comfortable temperature. The only thing I really don’t like is the food in the restaurant — no fresh fruits or vegetables for breakfast, and everything else is either fried or contains a lot of sugar.

This was surprisingly the best place to spend 3 relaxing time with my family. It’s very clean, newly renovated, on the beach and accessible to downtown Perry Sound. The only negative thing was that they were short staffed at the restaurant. We loved the breakfast buffet and had dinner there. Dinner menu is excellent! I strongly recommend the Managment to ensure adequate staffing for the restaurant because some of the waiters were very anxious to serve guests.
