Very nice hotel, great location and parking.

Free parking, large room, clean bed and bath, restaurant just down the hall---an excelent one, staff member Maria is exceptional! Nearby geysers easy walks. Much Fun!

The nicest hotel we stayed in Iceland but disappointed in that they don't have a gym and service in the restaurant is veeery slow.

Very nice hotel. Would visit again. Too bad they don't have a spa.

This hotel was gorgeous! It was a little spendy but worth it for us since we had a very long day of traveling and sightseeing in the wind and rain without a bed for 36 hours. We took in happy hour before enjoying some time in the beautiful lobby. The breakfast was incredible! I would recommend being the first one there to see the beautiful display, the quietness of the dining space and the unbelievable views of the steam from the geysirs. The whole experience was worth every minute of our short time there.

This was a magical place to stay. We were right across from the geysers and they could be seen from the restaurant on property. Staff was helpful and staff at the bar and our servers at the restaurant were kind and made us feel welcomed. The room was really clean with a modern architectural design and the beds were the most comfortable we slept in here in Iceland. Please add a spa some day and it would be a 10 star review:)

Perfecte locatie tegenover de geisers, ruime parkeerplaats, vriendelijk personeel, schone kamers, hele fijne douche en heerlijke bedden. Plus een uitgebreid ontbijt in de ochtend 👍

This was an incredible experience. We wish we had stayed here more nights. The lobby is gorgeous and huge and has comfortable elements everywhere, lots of throw blankets to use on the many comfy couches to curl up and read and drink a glass of wine. The rooms are beautiful and the bathrooms as well, everything has a feeling of luxury. The hotel will call you if you're on the list to be alerted to northern lights showing at night. We saw them here, and walked out to the geyser park to get ahead of the street lights. Seeing the northern lights over the natural steam of the geyser was incredible. The hotel breakfast is also wonderful, delicious, and has everything you could ever want. Also close to Gulfoss Falls and other aspects of Haukadalur Geothermal park.

The property and space itself is beautifully designed. It feels well finished and the photos don’t do it justice. Out of all the hotels we stayed at in Iceland, this was my favourite in terms of design. The service in the restaurant was also top notch. The gourmet tasting menu was enjoyable, but felt a bit overpriced. And the biggest perk about here is the way it’s been designed to show off and frame the natural landscape. Having the geothermal area to yourself early in the morning or the evening once the tour busses are gone is also a major plus.

This is a very clean hotel in all areas (lobby, room, dining hall and bathrooms off the dining room). The food for breakfast and dinner was delicious. I really enjoyed the music playing in the dining room and the view was lovely. We asked for a Northern Lights wake up call and we got one. The young lady who showed us where to look was as excited as we were to see them and we are very grateful to her for keeping watch and letting us know where to look. This was a wonderful vacation stop for us and the fact that the Geysir park was across the street and Gullfoss was just down the road was an added bonus! I probably had the best sleep of my trip here. Thank you!

Food at the restaurant here was delicious! Hotel was so nice and clean looking, beds were comfy, and super close to golden circle activities. Plus they have NL wake up call. Only issue was there was bugs (inside) near the window which was off-putting.

The rooms were beautiful with very comfortable beds. The larger room was amazing for our last night stay and packing before the airport.

My partner and I stayed at the hotel for 7 nights at the end of October and it was hands down the best hotel we’ve ever been to. The design of the whole building is spectacular, very modern and stylish. The rooms were spacious,quiet and really warm even though it was -3 degrees outside at night and around 2-3 degrees during the day. There was a huge window in the room with a ledge we could sit on and admire the view which happened to be a snowy mountain just outside the hotel. So picturesque, we couldn’t get enough of it! There was also a lovely scent welcoming us every time our room was cleaned when we returned after our day trip. The rainfall shower was amazing too! The only thing we would highlight is that we had to use a torch to be able to make a hot drink or pick an outfit from the wardrobe area as this area of the room was really dark even during the day. Perhaps some lights above the coffee machine and the wardrobe would’ve been great. The breakfast buffet was really nice too,there were plenty of different options. They also had different types of plant based milk which I really appreciated as I’m lactose intolerant. You could also treat yourself to a buck’s fizz every morning as it was also included in the buffet. The staff was very attentive,if there was a spillage of some sort they were on it straightaway and our table was cleared regularly so we were never left with a pile of used plates. Overall we really enjoyed our stay. We will be back for sure!

This is a fabulous hotel just across from the famous geyser, on the golden circle. We were there only one night and I wish we would’ve had more time there. The rooms are modern, with all the amenities you might need. Everything about the room was exceptional: the bed was very comfortable, the shower had plenty of water, pressure and hot water, and they had blackout curtains to help with the midnight sun. In addition, we thought the restaurant was outstanding. The food was delicious. The service was definitely on point. The location of the hotel is right across the road from one of the major sites on the Golden circle.

Great place to stay. Only take into consideration that there is a central heating air conditioning so you won’t be able to set you own temperature

Everything was perfect except the fact that there was no smart TV.

Architecture impressive with concept of minimalism . Which is nice but finally it was too minimalistic . Lacking fridge in room and water in room . Nice French balcony

We stayed at 3 hotels during our 1 week stay in Iceland and Hotel Geysir was the best one ✨ the property is beautiful and clean. Only annoying thing is the shower water runs all over the bathroom floor. Right across from the Geysir Center. There are amazing trails around too! Would definitely stay again.

After traveling along the bucolic South Coast and arriving at the hotel, on route back to Reykjavík, I was initially shocked not knowing it was a tourist attraction. The room is large yet the ecofriendly vibe is too much. The lighting in the room is poor; the tissues, no lotion. And the biggest problem is the bath/shower. There needs to be a grab bar installed. It is treacherous getting in and out.

Glorious visit to the inside of iceland to see 2 nights of the aurora borealis right in front of hotel and then more uniquely in total darkness across the street at the natural landmark Geothermal site in Geysir! Incredible astrophotography was acquired! Staff was courteous and called during the evening light show.

The front desk staff was kinda grumpy. No bellman.

This is a very upscale hotel. The rooms were new and were in excellent condition. We really enjoyed the breakfast buffet. There were plenty of options and the bread was freshly baked and still warm. The front desk is the only thing they need to improve. For a hotel this size there should be two people working the front desk so checkin does not take so long. But this is only a minor issue.

What a beautiful hotel- really enjoyed our stay- wonderful staff- esp Jessica who looked out for the northern lights and called us in our rooms so we wouldn’t miss an amazing bucket list experience. Breakfast was awesome and hotel was very chic and nice.

Central location in Iceland makes it easy to get to other attractions. Well maintained and up to date hotel and dining area. Staff was very helpful and friendly.

We loved the hotel and our room but were very disappointed with the restaurant and food which is unfortunate because it’s not like there are other options nearby. We had dinner there and breakfast and both were pretty bad. My husband did the tasting menu for dinner and I was craving something simple so I just got the burger. His was just ok and my burger came out bloody. I understand this is how Iceland serves burgers but I specifically asked for mine to be well done. When it came out bloody I sent it back and could hear the chef complaining which is completely unprofessional. The chef at breakfast was also rude and the breakfast food was honestly terrible. Overcooked boiled eggs which is something that is so easy to get right. Greasy pile of paper thin bacon. Just bad food. I understand chef attitude when they cook amazing food - not the case with the chefs at hotel Geysir. Hotel Kria had much better food. It’s a shame because this hotel itself is so cool and it’s not like there are any other options nearby for food.

The recepsion lady was not delite and did not give us fair service

Check in ungenügend - schlechter Service. Wir saßen 1 Stunde in der Lobby - Restaurants öffnete erst um 15:00 Uhr und es gab nicht einmal ein Welcome Drink. Obwohl wir 2 Suiten gebucht hatten.

The front desk staff Jessica was very responsive when we reported the radiator issue to her upon arriving last night. She came up 3 times to inspect and try to reduce the temperature. She persisted until she found a solution. Thank you Jessica for your kindness, good service, and helping us to get a good night’s sleep. We highly recommend The Geyser for their commitment to good customer service.

Beautiful hotel right in the thick of a very popular tourist attraction. The hotel is a quiet oasis away from the throngs of tourists, and it is conveniently located near some great hiking trails. We loved walking around the Geysir right after or before dinner. . . We could really appreciate the beauty of the place when it was not as busy.

Check in was great. Hotel location is just across from the Geysir. We can walk early in the morning to view the fantastic geysers.

Can’t say enough good things about our stay here. We arrived in the evening in the snow which was a nice surprise! We got checked in and were able to snag a reservation at the on-site restaurant right away. The food and drinks were delicious. After dinner, we enjoyed walking through the hotel and seeing all the different artwork on the walls. The room was very nice, spacious, and clean. The bed was very comfortable. In one of the cabinets we found a fan which was a nice surprise as everywhere we have stayed on our trip has been on the warm side. The next morning, the breakfast was superb! This isn’t just your run of the mill free breakfast. Different varieties of meats, cheese, bread, yogurt, hot items, coffee, hot chocolate, and the ability to make your own mimosas! We left feeling pretty full! Across the street are the geysers and we really enjoyed being able to walk across the road in the snow to watch them. Will absolutely stay here in the future if I am in Iceland again!

Everything was wonderful including dinner

Excellent location with stylish and spacious room. The restaurant in house is also popular. It was packed during our dinner time. The only improvement is the noise from tourist group during meals. Would be nice to have a separate area for them

This is a very nice hotel. The rooms are very nicely appointed and relatively large. The room we had has a view of the Geysers (well, the steam clouds) across the road. Being directly across from the Geysers is nice because you can tour the geysers for a few hours before the tour busses arrive. The food service was excellent. The breakfast buffet is included in the price of the room and was great. We also had dinner at the hotel. The dinner menu is limited but what we had was very good, but a bit pricy. There is no other dining options unless you want to take a significant drive.

Stylish , early morning access to geysir across the street. Awesome showers ! Love Iceland’s geothermal water supply! Restaurant is ok , good flavor but temperature and execution aren’t as good and it is VERY expensive . Price is not reflected in value on plate more the location and view of the geysir . Breakfast is ok, hot food could use work but it was included, wish they had smoked salmon like I found at other hotel breakfasts.

New and modern hotel. Restaurant was excellent. One of the best breakfasts I’ve ever experienced. Location directly across from the geysers just can’t be beat! A real winner!!

Beautiful property and very convenient location directly across from Geysir. Overall it was a wonderful stay, though I will say we were under impressed with the dinner at the onsite restaurant. The adult food was okay, but the kids fish (x2) were both frozen still inside. To the restaurant’s credit, they brought the kids different meals and didn’t charge for them.

Amazing hotel including beauty, cleanliness, restaurant and location. We drove the whole ring, staying at 8 different hotels this was one of the top two. Best breakfast in Iceland. Overall, excellent.
