老舗の大きな観光ホテルですが、やはり外観はちょっと古さが気になります。温泉なので内湯も重要ですが内部の床に敷かれた滑り止めパッドが割れていて邪魔に感じた。

The room was okay, no hot water for shower, it was vey bad at winter to bath or shower. The living room was cold and not comfortable to sleep. Hotel did not provide shuttle bus from the JR bus station, it was hard to walk to hotel during winter season, the road wad icy !

It was relatively cheap but the hotel is quite old and dated. The buffet dinner and breakfast is good value for money. Note there is no shuttle bus from bus station to the hotel. The 7 minutes walk is hard if you have heavy luggage.

とにかく設備が古い。室内のトイレにも入りたく無いほど。しかもそれをカバーするだけのホスピタリティも行き届いていない。アメニティ類も最低限。立地の良さと朝食のメニューの豊富さだけが良い点。宿泊にはお勧め出来ないですね。

ゴールデンウィークだから、混んでいるので仕方ないのかもしれませんが、駐車場から遠い為送迎バスを待つ時間がかかるのと、お風呂が芋洗い状態だったので、ゆっくり入っていられなかったのが残念でした。お部屋は広くて良かったのですが、トイレがリホームしているようだが、とても狭くて出入りが大変でした。ご飯の朝、夕のバイキングの種類は多くて満足でした。

余りにも設備が古くて汚らしい。古い良さもなく、ただただ設備の更新もない古い建物と設備。各設備は驚くほど何ら交換されておらず錆びていたり、汚かったり清潔感が全くない。廊下のカーペットは多分30年以上替えていないだろう。部屋の洗面設備も古すぎるし汚らしい。建物の外観もひどすぎる。ひびだらけでみっともない。何故外装だけでも綺麗にしないんだろう。

ホテルから湯畑がすぐ目の前で、散策するにはとても便利な場所。食事朝夕のバイキングを利用しましたが、品数豊富で美味しかったのでおなかいっぱいいただきました。お部屋は清潔感保たれ、綺麗に清掃されていました。お風呂は、他2箇所の提携ホテルの湯巡りもできて満足でした。機会あればまた利用したいです。

The hotel facilities and rooms are very old. There was a very strong smell of smoke in the room. We had to keep the window open all night even though it was very cold outside (–10°C). There were obvious stains on the tatami mat floor in the room. The staff member who helped us check in was a bit annoying and impolite. I wouldn’t recommend this place for families or group stays.

もう少し、お風呂場が綺麗だったらよかった。食事は大満足でした。部屋の窓ぎわが汚なかったです。虫も死んでいました。ちょっと残念です。40年ぶりにいきましたがまあよかった。

This hotel is fairly old-fashioned, but that’s what makes it unique. Despite the fairly decent condition of the room and the smell of smoke, it was alright. The con is we have to walk uphill to the bus terminal.

Good wifi. Nice onsen on the ground floor. Great location right by Yubatake. Yukatas and towels provided in the room. Breakfast and dinner buffet are very generous. Very helpful staff. The walls seem a little thin, so you can hear people in the hallway.

広くて綺麗でスタッフさんもみんな丁寧でとてもよかったです。温泉も他の宿と提携していて飽きずに楽しめて、ご飯もとても豪華だった。部屋の窓が少し汚れていたのと、水道が少し古くて？水がすごい跳ねたのが少し嫌でした。でも全体的にほぼ気にならないほど最高だったのでまた利用したいです！ありがとうございました！！

湯畑が窓から見えるのは良かったです。喫煙が部屋で出来るのも良かったです。部屋で喫煙が出来るのに、最近はIQOSやグローなどを使用する人が多いのか、思ったほど煙草臭はしなかった。ただ、トイレと洗面所が部屋の奥に有りちょっと使いづらかった。日本語が堪能な外国人スタッフがチェックイン時の館内説明を含め対応をしてくれましたが、説明のマニュアルが有るのか？とても早口で事務的に感じました。湯巡りをしたかったけど、チェックインの時に予約をしないと成らなかったのを知らず出来なかった。多分説明をしてくれたのだと思いますが、事務的な説明の中に埋もれてしまったのかと思います。チェックイン客で混雑はして居ましたが、もう少し丁寧な対応をして貰いたかった。湯畑の目の前に有るので、次回も草津温泉宿泊時は利用したいと思います。

従業員数が限られている様で、荷物の一時預かりなどで手こずる事はありましたが、湯畑近くのホテルの為、駐車場が離れているところ、ピストン式くらいな頻度で無料シャトル車を出してくれていた事はとても有り難かったです。ったです。

別館駐車場の誘導の仕方が悪く、父親がどこへ停めたらいいのか分からずに戸惑いました。迷っている父に対して誘導員が「あの人理解できない」と鼻で笑いながらバスの運転手に話したことに違和感を感じました。既にバスに乗っていた私や妻も一部始終を見ておりましたが、誘導の仕方に問題があったと思います。

バスターミナルまでのシャトルバスでの送迎はないのは分かってたのですが、フロント、バス運転手さんに聞いたら良かったので、その場になったら行かないと言われた。　たとえ、そうであっても、言われたことに対して責任を持っていって今回だけでも行って欲しかったです

だいぶ古いホテルでしたが、湯畑目の前の好立地で、一緒に泊まった86歳の両親も湯もみショーまで歩いて行けました。夜はライトアップされた湯畑がお部屋から見れて、とても素晴らしいホテルでした。スタッフの皆さんがとても感じが良かったです。

部屋にエアコンが完備されてますが、なかなか暖まらず布団に入らないと冷える感じでした。お茶はティーパックが備えて頂いてましたが、急須と茶葉が使用できるとありがたいです。エレベーターが部屋数の割に少ないと感じました。同行者が足が弱く待ち時間が多くなりまして、何か工夫して頂けると嬉しいです。ビュッフェは価格を考えると文句は言えないレベルと思いますが、若者と席が隣り合うと落ち着いてご飯を頂きづらかったです。年齢や家族構成で分けるかパーテションなどあると非常に嬉しいです。スタッフの方はご丁寧に対応して頂けました。ありがとうございます。

湯畑に近いので、観光にとても便利でしたまた、駐車場からホテルまでバスですが、運行が頻繁なので待つ時間はほとんど無かったです掃除も行き届いているとおもいます食事のバイキングメニューも、とてもおいしく頂きました一点残念なことは、バイキングの片付けが早く、食べている最中でもトレーの食器が片付けられてしまうことです手袋をしている手で、あちこちの食器を触る手で食事中に脇から手が出てくるのは衛生面、マナー面でどうかと思いました

まず、フロントにいる人達の言葉遣いがなっていませんね！2025年の4月26日にいたスタッフの方そんなに上から目線で言葉を発さないで頂きたい！特に細身の偉そうにしていた男の人。新人のスタッフにも真横に立っていながら指導もままならない。新人指導の前に自身の接客スキルを磨き直すべきだと思います。その点、食事の会場にいるスタッフの方々はとてもハキハキしていてとても丁寧な嬉しい接客をしてくださって、有り難かったです！！フロントのスタッフ総入れ替えされてはいかがですか？荷物預かって下さるところの男性はとても丁寧で腰の低い対応に頭が下がります。食事は美味しかったですが、建物が古すぎてお風呂場の掃除も？行き届かなくて残念でした。お風呂の湯はとっても良かったです！また行きたいか？と聞かれるとあのフロントの接客なら2度と行く気にもなれないし、友人、知人にも絶対に進めない。コミュニケーショをもっと取り合った方が良いですね！かなり体格のふくよかな男性スタッフの方も言葉の使い方？変じゃありませんかね？もっと謙虚な姿勢が望まれますよ！改善箇所は沢山ありすぎなので頑張って頂きたいですね。

母と二人で宿泊させていただきました。到着時の受付の確認の時に母が足が悪いことを伝え夕食（バイキング）料理が並んでいる近くの席を用意して頂き母もあまり歩かずにおいしい料理を堪能することができました。また、ホテルスタッフの方には、大変お世話になりました。母・コロナで4年ぶりに草津温泉の温泉に入浴することが出来、お風呂で知り合った方と話が弾み長湯になり湯あたりし、体調がもどるまで快方して頂きありがとうございました。スタッフの方々の気遣いも感激いたしました。販売機で飲み物を購入しようとしていたら売店で購入した方がよく冷えていますよと進めていただきました。その一言がありがたいです。また、大東館さんに宿泊させて頂きたいと思っております。お世話になりました。

The room was okay, no hot water for shower, it was vey bad at winter to bath or shower. The living room was cold and not comfortable to sleep. Hotel did not provide shuttle bus from the JR bus station, it was hard to walk to hotel during winter season, the road wad icy !

It was relatively cheap but the hotel is quite old and dated. The buffet dinner and breakfast is good value for money. Note there is no shuttle bus from bus station to the hotel. The 7 minutes walk is hard if you have heavy luggage.

だいぶ古いホテルでしたが、湯畑目の前の好立地で、一緒に泊まった86歳の両親も湯もみショーまで歩いて行けました。夜はライトアップされた湯畑がお部屋から見れて、とても素晴らしいホテルでした。スタッフの皆さんがとても感じが良かったです。

The hotel facilities and rooms are very old. There was a very strong smell of smoke in the room. We had to keep the window open all night even though it was very cold outside (–10°C). There were obvious stains on the tatami mat floor in the room. The staff member who helped us check in was a bit annoying and impolite. I wouldn’t recommend this place for families or group stays.
