The room was clean, and we had great fun when setting up for bedtime to discover the Murphy beds. The staff was very helpful and well intentioned.

Room itself was good with a nice kitchenette, charging points etc. Bed very comfortable but it is very high off the ground! There is minimal sound from outside but we could clearly hear sounds from adjoining room(s), including coughing and snoring. While room itself is modern, the bathroom arrangement is quite old fashioned. Shower over tub but no handheld shower head so hard to shower without washing hair. No grab rail either to step out of the tub. Not ideal for someone like me with balance issues. However, my main issue was at check out. Very unfriendly, especially when I asked to check bill as I thought it seemed higher than I thought it should be. I was advised we had bought two items from their snack bar, I said I knew that but they weren’t that expensive - CAD$4 each plus tax. Charge had been applied twice plus overcharged for items. I was told this was amended. I asked for a receipt and was quite coldly told it would be emailed. It was, overcharge of items not adjusted but it looked as if the doubling of charge had been amended. Yet both charges went through our account. It’s not huge money but I was annoyed especially by the attitude at checkout. To be fair, this was refunded when challenged, with an apology, but small overcharge not corrected. So my advice is double check your invoice/receipt. To be honest to me, hotel seems geared to business stopovers more so than holiday travel.
