This place offers fantastic value for what you get. the rooms look great and they are spotless. The overall ambiance reflects a commitment to quality, I think the owners have invested considerable effort in providing a great quality guest experience and value for money. While local amenities are somewhat limited, with the nearby pub (a mere minute's walk) being closed on Mondays and Tuesdays, the serene evening atmosphere perfectly suited my preferences.

What an amazing find. We chose to split a long journey and this hotel is approximately half way. Superb modern barn-style accommodation, family run, comfortable spotlessly clean rooms with free wi-if and a delicious breakfast included. Excellent, what all small hotels should aspire to. Lovely local pub too. Have told all our friends

Newly renovated spacious and warm room. Comfy bed, nice soft furnishings and modern bathroom. Excellent breakfast cooked to order. Highly recommended. Local pub is only 5 minutes walk with food served daily, however note that on Sunday it closes at 7 p.m.

Very close to A14. Extremely convenient in every respect - near to parking, ground floor level accommodation, good quality breakfast and 2 mins walk to a very nice pub for evening meal. We will definitely come again - half way point in our journey.

Stay at Church Farm Lodge many over the last 6 months. Always a friendly welcome. Rooms are always spotless and comfortable. The Tollemache pub, a stones through away, do very good food.

Lovely rural setting. Large room with separate TV area. Not luxurious but everything that’s needed including tea/coffee making gear. Clean and reasonable value for money. Breakfast was very good. We also had an outstanding dinner dining experience at the pub next door. A perfect pairing of the two establishments.

Church farm lodge is a fantastic bed and breakfast. The quality and comfort of the rooms is excellent. Spacious with superb facilities. The quality of the bed which was very comfortable and the associated furnishings is brilliant and the cost for a night is exceptional value for money. Thank you. We will definately stay again if we are in the area and will happily recommend the premises to others.

Very good accommodation in a quiet location, which suited me fine. I knocked 1 star off for comfort for a minor issue. It would have been ideal to have a blind at the window, as it was, I had to close the curtains and put the lights on during the day when I was in my room! Apart from that I could not criticise anything. Owners/staff very friendly and as a solo traveller was made to feel welcome, also my needs were met as a vegetarian. To the owner/staff - well done, keep up the good work

Really friendly staff/owners. Room was really nice. It was very clean. Breakfast was good. Enough choice to make a hearty breakfast to set you up for the day. The only thing that let it down slightly for us was the bed was a bit lumpy and not the comfiest. But otherwise this place is great. Price reasonable as well.

Booked the hotel & checked in around 12:30, and left the room at around 3:30/4pm in hopes to return in the morning to freshen up as we were off on a night shift. To our shock we returned and were greeted by a lady ( assume one of the owners ) and she looked very confused! Asked what room we were in and let us carry on to the door, we found the door was open ( I had locked the door and had the key to the room ) she then came over and said we thought you had left so emptied the room and changed the sheets and towels and said what do you want me to do now, this was at 8:45am in the morning ( check out not until 10:30am ) we explained even though we shouldn’t have to that we were on a night shift and came to freshen up but we were refused the room! They could have rang us, or left the room alone till we checked out at least. Never experienced this before anywhere. One of the owners was very apologetic, but after asking for any sort of compensation for the issues caused I never heard back so had to contact Expedia directly.

I'm really disappointed to have to leave a review of this nature. Especially given the room itself was nice BUT.. And its a big but. I booked one of the master suite and paid in advance. My partner arrived before me and was told there was no booking, despite him showing the owner proof of booking & confirmation of payment she was still insistent that she couldn't find the booking. It was only when my partner looked over at the list he was able to spot my name immediately. Given that the hotel only has two suites and i had booked one of them. I find it VERY strange that she couldn't see our reservation. The next day after handing in my keys after breakfast, as i was leaving the same women approached me with my booking in her hand and told me i still needed to pay. Luckily there was noone left in the dining area to witness her rather abrupt and accusatory tone of voice, as this would of been embarrassing. I informed her that i had already paid in advance, not knowing what my partner had already gone through at this point the previous day. I informed her repeatedly that i had already paid, she continued to insist i hadnt! She finally accepted that i had already paid for my stay but only after i provided proof via my online banking. The fact that my partner had already shown her proof of payment the previous evening leaves me to believe her approach to us definitely had signs of racially negative undertones. So no doubt she'll be glad to hear we won't be back!

This trip was really nice, great accommodation, spacious suite. Best cooked breakfast I’ve had in a long, long time. Quality ingredients, would have liked a firm favourite, black pudding with it but didn’t spoil things. Hosts great about paying locally for my son and grandson to have breakfast with us too. Perfect.
