Orama Hotel & Spa

We picked this hotel because they offered a fitness facility. The pics showed they had a treadmill, however we also contacted them to confirm this. When we arrived there was no treadmill. They said it broke and they didn't bother to replace it. A treadmill is pretty basic for a gym and if they advertise they have a gym then it should have one. They sent me to their sister property to use the treadmill. While the property was close the gym was way at the back so this took time every day. That gym AC didn't work. It was used by the employees. It was very clear the employees did not want to share the gym with the guests and they came in and threw their stuff around and started teaching others in their group. It was very weird. We also asked months in advance for early check in and explained why. We were told in a e-mail they would do everything they could. When we got there it was very apparent we did not get any priority for this and they kept trying to take my bags constantly. We didn't find the reception staff friendly at all. Every other hotel we stayed at in Greece they were very friendly. The housekeeping staff on the other hand was excellent and so friendly. The location is very good also. I can't speak to the food or the pool. Honestly it was the worst of the places we stayed in Greece simply because of poor customers service. Zero compensation offered for all of the gym issues.

We had 2 rooms & they were able accommodate or request to get them close. The location is walking distance from Fira. Food, shopping views were all within a 10 min walk. We ordered an independent car service thru the hotel to get to Oia and Akrotiri. The hotel is a short distance to both (15-20 mins) via car. There is a restaurant on site for convenience.

Can’t fault anything about our stay. The staff were great. The room and resort were amazing. We stayed in a family room and only to things to mention would be that there was no ventilation in the bathroom so it get incredibly steamy. Plus there were no fly screens on our windows in the bedroom which would have been great so we could leave windows open. But these are minor points. For the resort, it is amazing… there are 3 pools… but would have been great if at least one of them were heated.

Hotel is gorgeous and overall we had a brilliant stay at Orama. Majority of staff fantastic and couldn’t do more for us. Some of the older staff unhelpful and rude - we understand our stay is towards end of the season however this attitude did take the shine off the whole experience. Perfect location for Fira and the facilities were good

This is a fantastic hotel in a very good location within a 10 minute walk to Fira for shops restaurants and all the hustle & bustle The staff and facilities are excellent, food in the restaurant is exceptional and the service the staff provided was also top notch The hotel was always kept clean with staff quick to clear & tidy as guests moved on The pool area always looked amazing and the attention to detail the young group of workers down there had was amazing Overall a brilliant hotel and we’d recommend to anyone

Magnificent facility designed as a work of art fitting for Santorini

This is a new property that just opened back in the spring. We loved it! Everything is new and clean. 15 minutes from the airport. It is right outside Fira, 5 minutes walking. The staff was super attentive in helping us with our requests – from taking care of our luggage, to transportation, to booking a catamaran tour – you don’t have to go looking for them, they will anticipate. We booked a Deluxe room and it was spacious enough for the two of us – bed and pillows were super comfy. The balcony had a view of the caldera, which was stunning during sunset. Room is equipped with refrigerator, and they provide coffee, tea and water. Some wall plugs also include USB ports as an option to charge your phone (if traveling from the U.S., don’t forget your converter). We didn’t like our shower, it didn’t have a door and every time we showered it was just a mess. I’ll caveat the rest of our group didn’t have this problem. The restaurant serves food for breakfast, lunch and dinner – all good with a ton of options, and all reasonably priced. There are 3 pools with sun beds and umbrellas. The restaurant/bar is right next to the main pool, so you can order food and drinks and take them with you.

The property was immaculate. Many options for pools and loungers and close enough to the main town. We felt taken care of and remembered during our stay.

Staff were friendly and attentive to customer needs. Room was fully equipped and cleaned when we need it to be. In a great location and walking distance from restaurants and social life. The hotel is a a peaceful area and not overcrowded (when we stayed). Only negative is that the tiled floor in the room weren’t mopped and after a few days you could tell if was dirty. Apart from that we would highly recommend Orama and stay here again. Thank you to Theodore and Dimitrius for making our experience enjoyable.

Virtually all was really good - the only annoyance was flies, flies everywhere including the morning breakfast buffet food.

Lovely hotel convenient and well located. Food options are good. Breakfast is basic in that it has a bit of everything, eggs 4 ways, 2 types of mini pastries everyday. Many types of bread salads, fruits cereal. Coffee from a vending machine, but can also request barista coffee free of charge. Room amenities very basic no sanitary products other than shower gel, shampoo & conditioner and cream. The toiletries kit cotton pads/buds hand soap etc missing Cleaning of the room was basic they wipe sink area redo bed and replenish towels, the toilet doesn’t get clean nor does the shower. The bedsheets also don’t get changed and we were there for 7 days We also came back one day to our room being left open lucky for us it can’t have been like this for too long. The location of the hotel is perfect for getting around the island and for dinning options. There is a bus garage, taxi rank and supermarket all within walking distance.

We had booked a Deluxe Double room and got a room with a balcony just next to a very busy street. Even with closed windows it was very loud. If we had known this, we would never have booked this room. We have been to Santorini many times in different hotels but this was the worst we had so far. The hotel has nice design but room and breakfast were disappointing. No fresh fruit salad, orange juice tastes like flavoured sugar water,...

Very beautiful property. Kind and knowledgeable staff. My only complaint was the wifi didn’t work very well in the room. Also wish the staff would’ve let me know upfront about public transportation options (as I only went by cab the first couple of days until I asked and that was very expensive)

Unfortunately, unlike pretty much everywhere else in Fira, the Orama doesn't have great views, and all the rooms seem to face inwards to the pool. My room was comfortable, but the lights didn't work properly, so it was pretty dark inside. I had dinner in the restaurant, which I don't recommend. I had pasta carbonara.. When it arrived, I was told that it was a fusion between Italian and Japanese cuisine. It tasted as weird and unpleasant as it sounds. For dessert I had creme brulee. It was not cooked properly and resembled scrambled eggs with sugar on top. I complained, and the dish was taken away. However, it still appeared on my bill, and despite my protestations, the staff bullied me into paying it. It was pretty humiliating. The pool was loveley, and it's an easy walk to the bus station and the supermarket, so if you want to do Santorini on the cheap, then the Orama could be an option. But please eat elsewhere.

Absolutely beautiful property! It was walking distance to Fira and to all the dining and shopping! We rented a car that was provided by the hotel and was only a 20 min drive to oia! The hotel staff made everything very convenient with port transfers and the rental! We would definitely return for our future stays!

this is about a 10m walk from the business of fiya up and down the cliffs. its a new resort. a lot of room; 2 beds and 2 showers. the breakfast is something special; many options and very clean.
