The sitting chair was stained, and the room smelled of body odour. You could spend some money updating the room. Amenities were fine. Parking was a bit sketchy... too much going on with the banquet facilites to have such limited parking

Location is good. Price just slightly lower than the one next door. But very old style and everything old. Staff is nice. 4 pillows provide on each bed. But not very comfortable pillows. No toothbrush provide at front desk, but you can buy there. Gym door lock damaged and need staff to use key to open.

Upon checking in , the carpets in our room were very smelly, I called front desk to let them know, the issue and my youngest child had asthma, she said someone would spray the room after we we out for a few hours, not sure if the did or not we still had issues with the smell after coming back 2 hrs later

Upon checking in, we were given a room that had a foul smell- like bodily odour. We brought this issue to the attention of the staff and they were kind enough to move us to another room. However, after checking into the second room we smelled the same odour in that room as well. Thinking it may just be the normal smell in every room in this hotel. Since we booked on Expedia, there is not much else the staff can help us with at this point.

Stay was amazing, only thing I will say in terms of cleanliness would be deep clean the carpets a bit and dust the air conditioner unit in the room, it was blowing dust bunnies.

The hotel shows its age. Room absolutely stunk, needs carpets and chairs need to be clraned or replaced. Phone didnt work, tried calling front desk. Service on the other hand was great and professional.

Nice hotel in a nice area for shopping and dining but the hotel is starting to show its age and it is falling behind on the latest technologies that the newer hotels have. One example is that there are no usb ports for charging your equipment. I looked upside down and finally found one port in the side of the clock radio that was on the night table but that was slow in charging and the only one in the room.

Hotel is a bit dated. It could use some upgrades. WiFi is not secure, it is wide open. Something Steele Hotels should look into in keeping guests safe. Light fixture cover over bathroom sink came apart and crashed into sink. Let front desk know, and was told things are starting to fall apart in the hotel. Also, noticed on my final bill, extra charges like using certain credit cards, tourist tax and a couple of other ones, surcharges for these things. Not impressed over that. Overall, staff were friendly, it was comfortable. Would I stay again, most likely.

Bed in room 501 needs to be replaced. You kling to the edge to stay out of the Center hole. Not good for a good nights sleep for 2 people

The room was ok. Needed to be updated and cleaned. Room size good. I like having my whole bathroom all together not separated. For the price you pay nowadays, should include breakfast of some sort. The air conditioner in my room was not working properly at all. Over, not bad I guess.

I arrived very late due to a cancelled flight but check in was quick and friendly. They also looked after my delayed luggage when it belatedly arrived the next day. The room was clean and comfortable with a fridge and coffee maker but no microwave. The bathroom was good. The breakfast was really good and great value too for hotel guests - service was a little slow and there was a wait time even if you booked a time slot the day before. One of the two elevators was out of action so there was usually a wait for an elevator and there was long line at check out because only one person was at the desk.

The check-in staff were lovely! The halls and elevators were very neat, outside of the room there's a nice peaceful ambience. When you open the door to your room ,ours was 411, the furniture was worn and basic which is fine for the price we paid. Note our toilet are very low as well on the plus side it was clean and fresh. Unfortunately due to an event in town the hotel was full to capacity so a change was not possible. We were advised we were being given an upgrade to a king bed but suspect it was due to the need for our two double beds. Upon entering the room the air conditioning sounded like Jet Plane engines, with no option to move rooms we had to endure the noise. I would still recommend this hotel if you're looking for a clean cost effective option of a place to stay.

The staff had my reservation on hand, they upgraded me to a suite and the room was ready by 2:00 rather than 4:00. The only downside was that the telephone in the room was not functioning.

Came in for a night to visit son in university. Stayed here before but service this time wasn’t great. Clerk at desk wasn’t overly friendly and almost like it was a burden we were checking in. Most hotels will provide info on the restaurant, directions to elevator, how to connect to wifi, and what room we’re in, etc. I was just handed the keycard and felt like they were rushing us away. Just odd experience to start. Room was ok, clean, etc and we weren’t there long so fine. However trouble with key card to get to work. Several lights were not working. Sink was clogged almost completely. Went to sit on office chair to check emails on computer and the chair was stuck in lowest setting so could not use comfortably. Also, wasn’t able to join wifi. Again, very odd. Not typical of this hotel from previous stays and hopefully it is not a downward trend in service.

Front Desk was conditional to who was working. A couple staff were very enthusiastic and helpful, empathetic to what the Air Canada mess created. Couple others were "just business", no smile, enthusiasm or empathy - lacking a personal touch. Lounge bartenders were exceptional. Rates were reasonable as well.

Everything was great, but one thing that was disturbing was we checked in and brought what we could carry to our room, and went back to the car to get the rest of our stuff. When we returned to our room, a couple people were near our room complaining that someone wasn’t doing their job. They checked in right after us and were given keys to the same room. When they opened the door they saw our stuff. Our keys didn’t work anymore so we took theirs and they went back to the front desk. I didn’t bring it up to management and I’m just happy that they never took our belongings; and we kept the toggle across the door incase they decided to check someone else into our room.
