Club Paradisio El Gouna Red Sea

Room was lovely. Just what we needed. Always clean and water provided daily Only thing I’d change is the shower controls to a proper mixer tap and not have to blend manually with the hot and cold taps and instructions on how to use the airco.

Nice, big room and bathroom with instant hot shower water. With a view to the sea and everything within walking distance: the beach, the pool and the restaurants. Food has been of very good quality at the main restaurant, and a visit to the a la carte restaurant is recommended. The day activities and the night show were really good. The marinas downtown are very nice with cosy cafes and restaurants and it's only a short ride with a tuk-tuk. Overall, a great experience!

It’s good but boring

Clean rooms, nice beach, very friendly staff, and delicious food

We arrived at the hotel on New Year’s Eve and were not informed in advance that the only restaurant open was a mandatory New Year’s Eve buffet. All other restaurants were closed. This left us with no alternative and we were forced to attend the buffet at a cost of 150 EUR per adult and per child, which felt unreasonable and poorly communicated. I arrived after a full day of travel with four children, and check-in took 45 minutes to almost an hour. The staff were initially unfriendly and inattentive. I had also been told that American Express was accepted, as I booked through Hotels.com, but this was not the case upon arrival, causing additional frustration. Only after I stated that I would write reviews did the attitude change noticeably. The managers then became helpful and friendly and tried to improve our stay, which I appreciated. However, this does not excuse the very poor handling by management overall, especially on such an important night. The rooms were worn down, and the entire hotel complex felt old, tired, and badly maintained. The general staff seemed unwilling to help, even with simple requests like clean towels. It was clear that only management made an effort, while the rest of the hotel was neglected. Overall, this was a disappointing and poorly managed stay, and I would not recommend this hotel to others.
