The hotel is very close to shopping areas, dining, and many interesting attractions. Was not well informed about the foot soak by the gym. Hotel does not have a pool. Otherwise, very nice.

I didn't like the fact that there was no parking. After I checked in, I asked where can we park, the woman at the desk said, park in areas on the street that says P2. My husband and I drove around for an hour before we could find a parking spot, which was 15mins walk from the hotel. After we parked and got back to the hotel?, she told us that there are 3 parking garages, which is like $50 us dollars a day. Other than that, the hotel is beautiful, clean, modern and close to a lot of restaurants and attractions. Just budget for parking, if you rent a car.

Very nice and clean hotel located very close to many shops and dining in Reykjavik. Standard room was quite spacious with a large bed (seemed larger than other hotels we stayed in Iceland). Staff was friendly, prompt, and helpful. Breakfast was ok to us, I saw many reviews hyping the breakfast but I didn't find it as spectacular as some other hotels I've stayed in (not many hot dishes, rather a wide variety of baked goods). If the breakfast is included in your rate, definitely go. Otherwise I wouldn't pay extra for breakfast, and instead go to one of the many cafes nearby. There is no on-site parking, but we were able to find plenty of street parking nearby. Specifically, look to park in the areas marked "P2" on the streets south of the hotel, as there is no max hours limit and parking is free between 9pm to 9am.

Ideal location just a short walk from both the coastal/harbour area and shopping/tourist areas of the city. Clean and well equipped rooms and public spaces throughout. Would be good to have dedicated parking, but finding street parking spaces nearby was not difficult.

Nice hotel - great breakfast. I chose this hotel out of of a selection of 3 others as this stated it had a spa. Really underwhelmed by this false advertisement, the ‘hot tub’ you see in the picture is a tiny foot bath with freezing cold water. I had dedicated the last day to spend here but was really upset to discover what the ‘spa’ offered. Also got charged twice for hot chocolates, which as we know Iceland is expensive. Will need to pick this up with the hotel separately.

Walkable to sites, shops, restaurants. Great breakfast buffet and very kind, helpful staff. We used the tiny gym one morning and there’s only room for two people at a time. No on site parking but we didn’t have trouble finding spots in nearby streets.

Super clean, comfy, very friendly and helpful team who spoke perfect English (our Icelandic is rubbish!). Breakfast was fantastic and they arranged a to-go breakfast bag on our last morning as we had to leave early - we didn't need to remind them, they remembered and had them ready at our check-out (5am!) which was great. Room was impeccably clean, bed super comfy, very quiet - no road noise, very cosy and liked that we could adjust the room temperature to suit us. Also really appreciated that housekeeping is on a request-only basis, so no unnecessary replacing of towels/robes etc. We used the spa which we had to ourselves and was lovely and clean with plenty of towels/robes/slippers and lemon-infused water which was a nice touch. Excellent location, an easy walk to everything you could need as well as a 1 minute walk to bus stop number 1 where all the excursions go from. Would 100% stay again, and will recommend to friends and family who wish to visit Iceland - only wish we could have stayed longer.

Great location in the centre close to lots of bars and restaurants. A very comfortable room (the only difficulty was trying to master the lighting system!) A good buffet breakfast with a wide choice, sometimes the hot food options could be hotter but that was my only issue. All the staff were very friendly and helpful. I would happily stay again.

The property was very modern, and the decor elevated the experience. It was also great that you could change the temperature in your room. Unlike other places in Iceland that did not allow it or the thermostat did not work well, it was nice to cool the room down slightly.

The staff is super friendly, the location is excellent and the room is very comfortable. Although we were not there to watch TV, we would have appreciated more channels and with diversified subjects. Although, there are option to watch Netflix and YouTube it does not work as there is no internet connected to the TV.

The location could not have been better. It was extremely convenient and right across the street from Bus Stop #2, which made getting around incredibly easy. The room was excellent with a very comfortable bed and perfect bedding. There were plenty of outlets, and the lighting system was fantastic. The walk-in shower was a dream. Overall, the room was exceptionally well thought out and designed. The staff were helpful and very friendly throughout our stay. I highly recommend Hotel Reykjavík Saga.

Great hotel, the location is very convenient. A few minute walk to anything in town. The property is super clean and well kept. The breakfast was fantastic and well worth the extra money during our stay. My only gripe is the rooms are very small and can get really warm at night. But the bed was super comfortable so it made up for it. Overall well worth the money and I woukd definitely come back.

A decent hotel to spend a couple of nights in Reykjavik. Air conditioner didn’t work. Breakfast overpriced for what you get. We were advised to open windows to get fresh air but it was very noisy from street traffic. Wouldn’t return

Excellent Location We were very pleased with our choice of Hotel Reykjavik Saga. The location was exactly in front of all the tour pick-up stops, and everything (restaurants, shopping, city sights, church) was a short walking distance away. The staff was very welcoming, polite, and helpful. Breakfast was not exceptional but good. The hotel is new, clean, and our room had a very nice view of the Hallgrímskirkja. The only odd thing was that the television set was fixed to the wall beside the bed, instead of in front or with a hinge.

I signed up for a small fee upgrade for early check in. Our plane touched down at 6am, taxi was waiting for us (prearranged by hotel) and we arrived at hotel at 7am. Early check in entitled us to noon, versus standard 3pm. However our room was available, so they let us go up and that was so appreciated since we had red eye flight and nothing to do until noon. GREAT breakfast included as well!

Overall I was so happy to have chosen Hotel Reykjavik Saga. The staff was fantastic, friendly and helpful. The hotel itself was so clean and I loved our room. Thank you Hotel Reykjavik Saga for treating us so well!

Love the service. Love the location. The front desk team helped me with last minute booking with the best small group tour company, East West, to the Golden Circle. And accommodate early check in and late check out, aside from being friendly and support whatever they can. I’ve already booked my stay again for my next visit to the city. It’s walking distance to many awesome boutiques, shops, bars and restaurants.

It is probably the most convenient hotel to stay at for the Reykjavík Marathon as it located right by the finish area and a short walk to the starting area. If you’re considering running in 2026 make your reservation there early. Restaurants and shops are all just a short walk from the property. There’s no parking on the premises but the staff will help you figure out what app to use to easily use the public parking that is nearby.

Stayed for a week in Nov 2024 as a couple. Hotel was a few yards of 2 of the key drop off and pick up points. Seamless check in. Tasteful styling and modern decor. Hotel room was a great size for a week with comfortable bed and huge bathroom. Breakfast was good for a hotel. Would stay again if in the city. The hotel was an easy five minute walk to the center of Reykjavík, sights, harbour, restaurants and shops, also importantly close to bus stops 1 and 2 for tours and 6 for hop on hop off bus. Hotel staff were friendly and efficient and room was kept clean and stocked with coffee!

The location could not have been better. It was extremely convenient and right across the street from Bus Stop #2, which made getting around incredibly easy. The room was excellent with a very comfortable bed and perfect bedding. There were plenty of outlets, and the lighting system was fantastic. The walk-in shower was a dream. Overall, the room was exceptionally well thought out and designed. The staff were helpful and very friendly throughout our stay. I highly recommend Hotel Reykjavík Saga.

Excellent Location We were very pleased with our choice of Hotel Reykjavik Saga. The location was exactly in front of all the tour pick-up stops, and everything (restaurants, shopping, city sights, church) was a short walking distance away. The staff was very welcoming, polite, and helpful. Breakfast was not exceptional but good. The hotel is new, clean, and our room had a very nice view of the Hallgrímskirkja. The only odd thing was that the television set was fixed to the wall beside the bed, instead of in front or with a hinge.

Beautiful room in a stylish hotel with all the amenities you could need. Bar area was nicely designed and cocktails good! Staff were very friendly. Breakfast was included and considering how expensive Reykjavík is, was really good value. A decent choice of hot and cold food, juices and great pastries. Location is excellent, easily walkable to all the main shopping streets and harbour. Pretty lake on our doorstep and two bus stops for airports transfers and day trips within 1min walk. Would 100% recommend and stay again. Thank you for a wonderful stay!

Das Hotel hätte sich 5 Sterne verdient, aber leider kann ich hier nur 3 Sterne vergeben. Die Gründe dafür liegen beim Frühstück. Erstens gibt es nur Filterkaffe und wenn man einen Espresso oder Capuccino will muss man extra zahlen. Das finde ich bei diesem Preis für das Frühstück und für ein 4 Sterne Hotel unverschämt. Der Bereich in dem das Frühstücksbuffet aufgebaut ist, ist sehr beengt und in der Rushhour fühlt man sich nicht wohl. Es gab auch keine Spiegeleier bzw. keinen Hinweis, dass man diese bestellen kann. Daher gibt es hier 2 Sterne Abzug. Die Zimmer und das Personal sind top.

We loved this hotel, it was a very very nice place to arrive to when getting to Iceland! It’s a nice hotel, with modern and clean rooms. The breakfast is amaaazing!!! Literally it was in my top 3 of buffets. We loved this place! The last day we had breakfast included but we had to leave very early and they kindly provided a box lunch! They are amazing!!! 10/10 stars!!

A joy from the first moment! We arrived very early off a cruise ship and took a taxi to the Hotel Saga. Since it was very early around 9am our room wasn't ready, but they welcomed us with smiles and held our luggage while we explored Reykjavik and then took the Golden Circle tour, got back that evening to a beautiful room with an amazing view! Bed was comfy, Nespresso available in the room, big rainshower and quiet! We highly recommend Hotel Reykjavik Saga!
