The QT team were super helpful and friendly. The gym access is via a deal with a local gym, so you get a great workout in a proper gym with great equipment. The food is awesome. Definitely will stay again.

An outstanding hotel. While the facilities, beds, bars and room fittings (shampoo, conditioner etc) were all outstanding, the service shown by the hotel when it came to my EV was excellent. We arrived short on charge without a plan after a long drive. The concierge then outlined the Valet service which included normal valet parking and an overnight charge for $50. Outstanding value and service and make our subsequent trip to the nearby beach for a swim all the more enjoyable!!

Hotel was very quirky and staff were brilliant. The downside was that gym is not actually in hotel but you use one down the street. Also they charge for parking which becomes expensive for longer term stays. Rooftop bar had excellent views over the waterfront.

Great stay. Very clean and comfortable, as experienced in other QT hotels. Only downside would be the access to the carpark, which is only mentioned in an email after the booking is made (when booking through Hotels.com). There is no direct access from the carpark to the hotel, so need to walk around the block. At time of writing it was $35 per night. They offer a valet parking convenience of $50, which I feel is a liitle excessive.

It was a beautifully decorated hotel; however there was this strange alarm sound that would go off all throughout the night for 20min. And the blinds were see through so the street light coming in. I barely got any sleep with the noise and the light coming in. Such a shame! The roofttop bar was also closed for renovations which was disappointing.

Hi there was an issue with laundry.I had no towels in spite of staff advising they would be delivered later.Asked again at 11pm then gave up No rowels received. I raised at checkout and got apology -no hint at a coffee or anything for inconvenience. Hotel should think about this-not conducive to a return visit Louise

Had issues with the underground parking getting out with the parking voucher not being accepted. Rooms are noisy and not sound proof. Otherwise the staff and condition of the rooms are fabulous and very boutique.

This place was amazing. The staff were so helpful and nothing was ever too much trouble. Their energy and flair was contagious. Our room was beautiful and we both said that we’ve never slept on a bed like the one at QT Newcastle. It was like you were floating on a cloud of cool, light, satin. I want one of those beds and the bedding in my bedroom. 100% if we ever see ourselves back in Newcastle will be staying here

We went for the King room that had a bathtub. Room was spacious, and the bed and pillows were comfortable. Great location, close to the water and woolies just down stairs. Had a lovely check in experience with Billy, who made us feel really welcomed. Rooftop bar was cute with nice views too.

A couple of things not up to scratch here Firstly the bed was uncomfortable. The bed was on casters on a wooden floor, so would move! Mainly self check-in. Everything computerised for your convenience !! So not much human contact.! Maybe I am a bit of an oldie on this one but I think when you are paying this amount of money, the personal touch from staff is essential!

From the first few minutes of waking into the hotel to the last moment we walked out, we were blown away with how fantastic the staff were. some staff attitude. my wife and I returned to the hotel at 11.30p and asked one of the staff behind the bar for a glass of water and was told the bar was closed. It was only a glass of water! not impressed with attitude.

The stay was good, staff not so much. Had an incident where I left my airpods at the hotel and realized it while en route to the airport. Firstly had to try a hundred times for someone to pick up the call and finally when I got one, the lady sounded so disinterested in helping that I had to tell her that I have a flight to catch and requested her to let me know if they are able to find the airpods in the room. She says “I will as soon as I can” but never called back. I went back to hotel from half way to the hotel. The guy at the front desk was as cold as they come and told me that they couldn’t find anything. On insisting that I’d like to check myself, a lady came along and we went to the room together. I could see on Find My that the airpods were still at the hotel(showed her too) but was unable to locate it. Tried to give the bed a thorough search but she was too reluctant saying it was already cleaned and made ready for a guest. Never got them back, the device was still somewhere in the hotel for another day before moving to a different location.

The room was quite small but very modern. The room service from the restaurant downstairs was quite pricey ($28 entree - 3 scallops, $44 main - small piece of fish) and serving size was small. Too many drinks in the bar fridge, very difficult to put anything else into it.

The property was awesome, the staff were a highlight, all smiles and welcoming, the product was fantastic. I would def stay there again. My only criticism was a very limited late night room service menu which would have been a better option except for what listed in the menu.

The hotel was unique but we were not explained how to use the hotel to get the best of our stay. As we are in the older age group we find it harder to use modern technology non of the staff offered to show or explain it to us as also with the rules about the breakfast menu. The service was not good for a hotel of this category. The food that was offered was poor and lacked variety.All the food we had was not up to a 4 or 5 star hotel which we are used too. This property was such a wonderful surprise - great location, amenities, rooftop bar, breakfast and staff service. We loved the art deco styling of the rooms with such thoughtful and fun details. The neighborhood was fascinating and a great homebase for exploring Newcastle.

Perfect stay for just 1 night. The room has a contemporary cosy interior but that’s due to the bathroom taking up more space which was actually more practical in the end. There was lots of room to do makeup and magnified mirror was awesome. The mattress felt too soft for us (more plush/medium) but maybe most people prefer that. The rooftop bar was buzzing on a Saturday night and we had an amazing dining experience at the restaurant downstairs. They didn’t have their own carpark which was unfortunate but a short walk around the street corner and down the lift is only a few minutes away.
