The staff were mostly quite nice, but a couple were really surly and not too helpful. There was not a shared tea/coffee area to be able to make your own when the venue was closed and it was late at night.

First thing to keep in mind is that this is a historic hotel. That means shared bathroom and shower stalls. So long as you're OK with that, this is actually a nice spot. Included split system AirCon and TV, both hard to find at a historic location. Onsite food was good and reasonable. Well worth the price paid.

Lovely little place near the centre of Warnambool. Heater and TV provided and very welcoming. Water is either from the bathroom tap or at the bar (when its open) - so just make sure to fill up if you don't feel like filling from the tap.

Great they offered a family room for 5, however, the shared bathrooms for male and female were a major let down. The bathrooms were freezing cold and slippery tiles made them unsafe to walk on when wet. The staff were very friendly and accommodating when my son spilled his hot chocolate and even heated our vegan home cooked food.

The Cally hotel is very good value for money, we were happy with our stay. The room was clean and had a fridge. Some of the mattresses were spring loaded and others were not.

Well it's hard not to be critical because of what the Cally is - an old pub. However during peak school holidays, it was welcoming to get something within my price expectation. There are a myriad of things they could do cheaply to make this a more attractive proposition - a water tap in rooms, a side table with four legs, a lamp, a window that can be opened without breaking your back, etc. The bed was comfy enough though. What can be done really cheaply is accurate information at check in... I specifically asked if I needed to book for dinner and was told Nah, just turn up you'll be right. I arrived and the place was booked out. I was also given the wrong internet password which wasted a whole bunch of time and then a trip back to the bar to sort it out. It was a pretty ordinary experience to be frank, I won't go here again unless desperate. If you aren't fussy, it can be a cheap alternative to overpriced motel rooms that don't offer much more than this.

Only things in the room was a bed and tv. Not even a kettle to make a cup of tea. If you wanted tea and coffee you had to go downstairs and pay for it. On last morning there, there was no loo paper at all in the men’s bathroom.

The accommodation is backpackers style. Friendly and very helpful check in process, particularly as we had two electric bikes with us and they were well taken care of, thankyou. However the communal bathrooms were not looked after. Only one functioning shower for several rooms, obviously the remaining showers had been vandalised without maintenance for a period of time. The premises had been well refurbished but is looking a little tired.

Well below expectations. Knew it wouldn’t be paradise, however expected chairs, or a table at least. Sheets not put on beds, doona cover looks like was used by previous people, just in a blob on beds. Toilet paper/hand towel is obviously a luxury as there wasn’t any. I could go on, very poor and unsatisfactory.

Very quiet of the morning, noisy until 9pm, dirty room, bathroom graffiti, hair all over the bathroom floor and vanitys, shower water didn't empty down drain, men's shower basin broken, our room looked straight out onto the fire mezzanine Sono window open.

The hotel itself was ok and served a purpose for a place to stay on New Years Eve. Warrnambool is a lovely sleepy beach town and would definitely visit again but would stay elsewhere. The room was dirty, there were dead flies on the windowsill and the wardrobe had holes in it. The shared bathroom was dirty and the shower cubicles weren't very private. I wouldn't stay here again.

First rate food and service, clean shared bathrooms but broken door handles and sink was damaged but serviceable The bed was comfortable, very squeaky but no issue Aircon was delightfully cold. For one night, one my own great, would I take my wife to stay there, no.

We had a wonderful week at the Cally Hotel, myself and the two children. Everything was close by, the children had their hot chocolate in bed with free wifi and the tv. Staff were lovely, and the meals exceptional even for the children. Will definitely return to stay again.

Stay was good, upon check in staff member was very unenthusiastic and not thorough. We went for lunch twice and we're told we missed it by 15mins luckily there were plenty of options open in town. Overall the service was cold and unwelcoming, we felt very unwanted there.

We had a nice stay with a quiet night here. The staff is very kind. Also the food is tasty and there is a wide choice of it. And not to forget, the duvet was so cozy. Would definitely recommend it here!
