Staff was amazing. Wendy does it all. Great drinks at the pub and very helpful.

Stayed 2 nights

Room unclean, nail clippings and hair in the drawer, dirty mark in the toilet. Room was incredibly small and a real struggle with 2 adults and 2 dogs (which is what was booked) Only socket available for charging phone, etc. was an extension block under the mattress. The beds themselves were incredibly uncomfortable and we didn't dare look at the mattress, however, the dogs were very keen to lick both. Had it not been the fact we would not be able to get another place at such short notice, on a bank holiday weekend in the area that permitted 2 dogs, we'd have left immediately. As it was we suffered a sleepless night, attending the event we were in the area for and left as soon as we returned the following day foregoing the second night we had booked and paid for. Checkout apparently constituted handing the keys to a customer in the bar who'd pass them along, no query as to why we were leaving early.

Trying to be balanced with my feedback, the room was comfortable and i slept ok. However no ensure shower or bath just basin and toilet. No provision for food in the evening and nearest pub or restaurant was 4 miles away. Breakfast was provided as long as you like your eggs scranbled. Would i use again , no but it was in no way uncomfortable..just very basic.

Lovely little hotel, great host, very friendly, clean and comfortable room, we chose this hotel because it was Pet Friendly and it didn’t disappoint, the only negative is no evening meals, but you can drive into Lanark 4 miles away where there’s a great choice, there’s also a small supermarket opposite. Apart from that we had a great stay and would definitely use again
