We were a large family group and had the all the main and upper rooms. It was perfect for us! Very clean, and bathrooms and kitchen were modern and well-equiped. Good restaurants and grocery nearby and plenty of parking.

Loved the location right in town and across from the wonderful Pakkhus restaurant. Very nice rooms, clean and comfortable. Lovely kitchen which we didn't use but great room to play cards. Easy checkin using information sent via e:mail. Parking is tight and we had to take out luggage before backing into a VERY tight spot (only one left). Thankfully we had a small car. Not sure if people were parked there who weren't staying. The sign saying it's for their parking is very small and only appears to include one spot.

Good location, close to restaurant and walking distance to the port. Clean and comfy! My kids like the cereal and cookie provided in the room. Very thoughtful idea. Easy to check in and out. Only thing is that the parking lot is not enough and we have to park and other people park behind us, block our way completely. Overall a nice place to stay and will recommend.

Enjoyed our stay at Guesthouse Dyngja. Our room and bathroom were very clean. The kitchen had everything we needed to make a couple meals. Convenient parking near property.

Saubere, ruhige und gut ausgestattete Wohnung (Studio 1). Nachteilig ist, dass jeder in die Wohnung schauen kann. Wir hatten die Verdunklungsrollos die gesamte Zeit unten. Die Parkplätze des Gästehauses wurden auch durch Nicht-Gäste genutzt, dadurch gab es nicht immer einen Parkplatz. Eventuell kann man die Parkplätze besser markieren als privat.

Guesthouse Dyngja was our favorite accommodation on our recent ring road trip. It is right in the middle of town, with 4 restaurants less than a block away, plenty of parking, and offered an easy walk out the edge of the harbor (good for sunset). Very modern/up to date furnishings and everything is spotless (probably recently renovated because everything just seemed new). Beautiful large pix of south Iceland sites on the wall. We met several other families also staying there and the shared kitchen area was plenty big enough for multiple groups to share the space along with a very large shared refridgerator. Coordination on arrival (via code) was straightforward. Generally, we also just liked Hofn a lot as well (especially on a clear day when the glaciers are visible in the distance!)

Cute little apartment. Close to food. Offered some yummy oatmeal chocolate cookies. Middle of the night the drain pipe fell off the bathroom sink. Looked quite plugged (yuck). Only sink so was interesting getting ready the next morning. Tried to call office twice with no answer.

We had a lovely 1 night stay in the studio apartment. Easy to understand check-in instructions & directions were sent a couple days ahead of time. Nice clean studio apartment with small kitchen & bathroom, very convenient location near main restaurants in Höfn. Only wish they had left the sofa bed as a sofa, given we were only 2 people. We could not figure out how to close it and would have liked to sit on it.

The room was bright, airy and clean. It was next to a Main Street but there was no traffic at night. We had a nice little patio for coffee and a view of the harbor. Lots of little extra’s in the room made us feel at home. We wanted to stay another night. We loved the coffee machine!

We stayed in the studio apartment and they left us the key in a lockbox so we never met any of the staff. Wasnt a bad thing. Area is very convenient and has so many good dining options literally across the street. Room was clean and had most of everything we needed. Great hot water and water pressure. The room could use a TV though. Not alot of options in Höfn but id definitely stay there again

You’d be lucky to snag the studio apartment while in Hofn. It’s nicer than the photos — spacious, modern and clean. The kitchen is stocked with cookies, tea and instant coffee. The shower water pressure is adequate but not strong. The only negatives were the bed pillows are too thick and the porch light is on all night with light coming around the blackout shades.

We got a pleasant surprise when the hotel upgrade our booking and gave us an almost brand-new suite with two bedrooms, a full kitchen and a bathroom. Lovely little guesthouse, only concern was the size of the bedrooms, they are very small. We were only staying one night so it was okay but if staying longer you might want a bit more room. Restaurants right across the street so very convenient.

We had a great stay here! The location was great and the space was modern, clean, and overall lovely. The host was very accomodating with our late check-in, as our day included lots of driving and we didn't specifically know our timing as we wanted to make sure we didn't miss anything along our route. :) Weould recommend!

We met several other families also staying there and the shared kitchen area was plenty big enough for multiple groups to share the space along with a very large shared refridgerator. Coordination on arrival (via code) was straightforward. Generally, we also just liked Hofn a lot as well (especially on a clear day when the glaciers are visible in the distance!)
Guesthouse Dyngja was our favorite accommodation on our recent ring road trip. It is right in the middle of town, with 4 restaurants less than a block away, plenty of parking, and offered an easy walk out the edge of the harbor (good for sunset). We stayed in the studio apartment and they left us the key in a lockbox so we never met any of the staff. Wasnt a bad thing. Area is very convenient and has so many good dining options literally across the street. Room was clean and had most of everything we needed. Great hot water and water pressure. The room could use a TV though. Not alot of options in Höfn but id definitely stay there again

Lovely little guesthouse, only concern was the size of the bedrooms, they are very small. We were only staying one night so it was okay but if staying longer you might want a bit more room. Restaurants right across the street so very convenient.

Loved the location right in town and across from the wonderful Pakkhus restaurant. Very nice rooms, clean and comfortable. Lovely kitchen which we didn't use but great room to play cards. Easy checkin using information sent via e:mail. Parking is tight and we had to take out luggage before backing into a VERY tight spot (only one left). Thankfully we had a small car. Not sure if people were parked there who weren't staying. The sign saying it's for their parking is very small and only appears to include one spot.

The room was bright, airy and clean. It was next to a Main Street but there was no traffic at night. We had a nice little patio for coffee and a view of the harbor. Lots of little extra’s in the room made us feel at home. We wanted to stay another night. We loved the coffee machine!

Good location, close to restaurant and walking distance to the port. Clean and comfy! My kids like the cereal and cookie provided in the room. Very thoughtful idea. Easy to check in and out. Only thing is that the parking lot is not enough and we have to park and other people park behind us, block our way completely. Overall a nice place to stay and will recommend.

You’d be lucky to snag the studio apartment while in Hofn. It’s nicer than the photos — spacious, modern and clean. The kitchen is stocked with cookies, tea and instant coffee. The shower water pressure is adequate but not strong. The only negatives were the bed pillows are too thick and the porch light is on all night with light coming around the blackout shades.
