Very disappointed in this property. Nothing like what was viewed on Expedia or advertised on location. "Newly renovated rooms"- The bathroom had a plugged sink drain, an inoperable jacuzzi tub. "Fitness club, tennis and raquet sports"- The tennis court was completely unuseable and unaware of the existence of a fitness room. The staff were nice, and this property was once a nice venue. But that was a long time ago judging by appearances. The only positive for me was the Breakfast Room. Kudos to the staff there, but I would never revisit this property.

We were a bit skeptical when we first drove in. Looked a bit run down. Found out later they are in the middle of fixing the outside.Check in was quick, deluxe 2 bed poolview with porch (definately recommend pool view)was clean, good size, sheets and beds were comfortable. The pool was clean and refreshing. Sitting on the porch, outside our room, had a tranquil resort feel. Chinese restaurant across the street looked nice. There is a wings restaurant attached to the property. Most restaurants are a short drive into the quaint town. The included breakfast was hot and adequate. Scrabbled eggs, sausages, toast, yogurt, cereals and a variety of juices, coffee and tea. Served from 7 to 10. You will find gas stations, no frills, giant tiger,dollarama and an ice cream shop in the area. Internet access was spotty. Tub was a bit stained, hot water was really hot, tv didn’t work and toilet ran on,so had to jiggle handle. Most motels in Gananoque are old except for the Holiday Inn Express which was next to the Super 8..If you are looking for a short stay in the area. The Super 8 would be a good choice.

Motel really needs to be updated. It is kept clean and the staff is very friendly but the property is falling down. It used to have sauna, an indoor & huge swimming pool and other facilities that used to make this motel a good choice. But these facilities are gone. The swimming pool outside is fine but is soo cold that only few people get in. Overall, I found the rooms clean but the property is in a poor shape.

We stayed for 3 days arriving on Monday and leaving on Wednesday morning. Anyone we met was very helpful. The one thing that we did notice was the steps leading upstairs to the rooms could have been swept off and some of the stones were loose or even missing. The pool was closed (not that we use a pool) some of the time. But the breakfast was good and our room was good with the mini fridge etc. We would stay there again if we come to Gananoque.

This place is a mess. The property was in great disrepair but appeared to be under renovation. The desk clerk had to search for a pen for me to sign in. The grounds were unkempt. The indoor pool was drained and in poor repair. The room was relatively clean. I would not stay here again.

The room was nicely updated with jacuzzi. The property was unkept.weeds everywhere, hardly any grass. The wifi was horrendous.When you walk into the door to the rooms hallway it was discusting. The smell was if musty and mould. Carpets were not cleaned in YEARS..I have stayed in places for $60 a night that were in way better condition let alone $300 a night.the breakfast in the mornings was very good though.will not stay at this place again, unless they ckean up the inside and outside.

This property is poorly maintained. We found a pill in the bed, and couldn't sleep because the lighting outside of the room was so bright that the curtains could not properly work. There was mold in the shower and it looked overall like it had not been cared for over the years.

The breakfast room was lacking Not the standard super 8 set up. The Tip jar was an odd addition. Under the bed was filthy, trash under the beds not.cleaned between visits and the pool was dirty. It does not resemble the photos on expedia. Overall maintenance was due for improvement. We will not be staying again. NOT worth the fee.

A very deep clean is required. The kids played hide and seek, under the bed. They pulled out a disgusting amount of bed lint? Dirt anyways. A three day stay and no coffee refills are offered. Yes you say ask for the coffee.....I asked for 2 extra trash liners, an extra roll of toilet paper. Maybe when room service is being done you could be asked what is needed? Just not a very pleasant stay.

Rooms really good and clean . but noisy can hear through doors and window into next room and can here food and drink orders from Tim Hortons drive thru next to building fencing is all down wood help if fence was up and built higher to deflect sound . Are room on second floor entrance from our side was narrow to get in when they people sitting in the chairs smoking and spitting on ground when trying to get to room we are in are 60s have to walk up stairs to second floor and walk down pass these young men

We have been staying here for over 40 years have never had a bad experience, it is so affordable, rooms are clean, shower is great. Love the decks of the rooms so spacious. Check in an out were fast and efficient.

The room was comfortable with a handy coffee maker and microwave. Wish we did not have to walk over to the front office after using the 2 regular coffee packages. The room is only cleaned if requested. Having access to local tv stations was useful. The mattress were a little more firmer than Howard Johnson that we used across the road previously. The water temperature did change during showers. The floor had signs of water damage and had curls that could catch shoes. One irritation was having to resign-in to WIFI 2 or 3 times a day. Parking was convenient for the room we had otherwise for other rooms parking is distant from the parking lot. Daily breakfast was a yogurt and muffin that I could not eat due to a sensitivity. Tim Hortons was just next door and MacDonalds was across the street. I would still return to hotel in the future.

The rooms were okay (small tvs) we had room 100 and could hear the staff in and out at all hours. Can hear ppl walking around above you as well. The grounds are unkept which is sad as it could be nice. The colour of the hotel is different than what’s posted online as well. The wild wings is attached, staff is very friendly and the food was good

I prepaid for my stay here through Expedia, fully expecting to also pay the $250 deposit that I discovered was charged here (which is absurdly high for a 2 star hotel in the first place), but upon attempting to check in I received a notification on my phone that I had been charged $88 by the hotel. I was informed by the front desk staff that they charge my card because they don't get paid by Expedia until I check out (as if that's somehow my issue), so I was expected to pay almost $450 upfront to stay at this hotel. The hotel itself is in poor condition and it appears they have given up on it. "Breakfast" is apparently a muffin and juice in a paper bag, hallway carpets as well as the laminate in our room were stained and dirty, it also appears they once had an indoor pool but no long do so someone just used a marker to black out any reference to the pool in all signage in the building. The sign out front also used to say "hot breakfast" but they've taped over the "hot" part of it. Beds were very hard, and our outside light flickered every time we closed out door (seems there may be a fire hazard there). Wil not ever return.

I booked this property three hours before arrival due to a sudden change in plans. A certain price was displayed and I received a confirmation from Expedia. When I arrived at 9:45 pm the office was locked so used intercom to reach the manager. When he arrived he was very annoyed and asked when I booked. He told me the room indicated on the reservation was not available until the next. night. I asked if he had another room. He was not truthful because then he said he could not offer me a room at the price Expedia posted. I am sure he saw the booking and was angry at the price Expedia offered. I was upset and left and went to the Howard Johnsons down the road. I paid more than initially expected but the clerk at Howard Johnsons was extremely helpful and even asked the next morning how I slept. I will never go back to the Super 8 in Gananoque. The owner at Super 8 was mad at Expedia and vented it at me. He said he cancelled the reservation as I stood there so there had better not be any charges for that booking. My Expedia points had been used to reduce the cost of that room so they had better be reimbursed. So upset.

Our room was located on the second floor which I wasn't able to do. The manger gladly moved us to a first floor upgrade which was an amazing room with a porch and an awesome view of the centre court. Room was quite clean.

It was very close and convenient to the venue we were attending. The thing I didn't like was that the complex was too mazy and hard to find like the lobby-You had to go in and out to get there.Other than that it was fine. I'd stay there again.

Advertised hot breakfast, all we got was a paper bag with juice, yogurt and a muffin. Drain in bathroom was very slow draining. Beds were comfy but lumpy pillows. Rooms are big and clean and liked the view from the window.

Place is old and rundown despite renovations. Walls thin and could hear TV in next room. Breakfast only available till 9. We were late getting up and there at 5 to 9. Grabbed something but at 9 they turned off ligjts and basically hussliled you out. Would not stay there again.

Has many in room perks like iron and ironing table, coffee machine, bottles of water. Furniture looks new and well- maintained. Bed is very comfortable. Only complaint is there were no towel bars or hooks to hang the towels or clothes inside the bathroom. Breakfast room is nice, with good options for a hot breakfast. Staff are very pleasant and efficient. Overall a good experience and good value for the money.

Breakfast was great . Scrambled eggs and sausages. Cereal, muffins, yogurt, juices, bagels, toast etc. Staff very nice. Air conditioning unit really loud. No blankets. Grounds needed to be spruced up. Entrance to lobby was not clear. Hard to tell if it was right entrance. Overall nice.

Renovations have helped improve this existing resorts rooms. Comfortable beds, warm welcome and good hot breakfast will have us back. It’s a great halfway point from Toronto to Montreal.

We stayed at the Super 8 in Gananoque. We found the staff was excellent. We found the room was large, very clean. Beds were comfortable. We also liked the fact that there was a microwave and small fridge in the room. There was a hot breakfast that included cold cereal, bagels, sausages, scrambled eggs, and toast. I would recommend this property. It's close to the theatre, casino, and there are a number of restaurants near by which include MacDonald's, couple of Chinese restaurants, seafood, and pizza stores. It's a half hour drive to Kingston. There was lots of greenery with trees and flowers and an outdoor pool. in the back of the Motel The location is very quiet. Each room had chairs to sit outside. In our Courtyard location, we had a screed in sunroom with chairs.
