Stop over before travelling on to the Isle of Wight.

Older property with a pub below. We liked our stay except for the sloping roof (ceiling) room, where we kept banging our heads.

Firstly we have stayed here before and had a wonderful experience. The property is old and consequently does not have that modern minimalistic feel to it. I think the beds could do with replacing as you can feel the springs through the mattress topper. The stairs are a challenge on par with climbing Snowden. So why did we come back? The Staff and ambience and the quality of the food and the feeling that you belong here and so welcomed. I love it. The patrons are warm and friendly and happy to chat with you. The staff are wonderful and I have to say that Ben is amazing. He sees what’s going on around corners and they all work hard. We were sorry to leave and will definitely be back.
