Aberdunant Hall, Snowdonia

Stayed 2 nights in a Cabana. Lovely setting with nice views and very peaceful. Most importantly was very clean. May be a challenge for anyone with mobility issues as quite a few steps to climb to the Cabana. Not an issue for us and will definitely stay again.

We stayed in a woodland spa suite. The accommodation was premium quality with a free standing bath and lovely mood lighting. Out doors we had the pleasure of a private hot tub. We ate breakfast at the premises and i felt confident eating there based on the extra measures in place for individuals with dietary requirements. As i have coeliac disease they provided gluten free products and a seperate toaster.

This is our sixth visits to Aberdunant Hall, and we always have a great stay. The caravans are comfortable and the hot tub adds that special touch after a day of walking around places in North Wales. The restaurant is a must to visit, the food and service are top quality. No doubt, we will back again in 2026.

Amazing couple of nights at Aberdunant Hall, the staff were friendly and went out of there way to help. Would thoroughly recommend, surroundings were stunning and the hot tub in our Snowdon Spa lodge was lush! Kept our three teenage girls extremely happy and off their devices!

We stayed in a luxury caravan with hot tub. Very comfortable with a spacious living area opening onto private decking. One of 6 in a small walked garden area. The site is really well landscaped. Large, but doesn’t feel it, split into small areas in a hillside forest. I couldn’t spot the site from anywhere offsite! Good location, between Porthmadog and Beddgelert. Plenty of places to in the area with Criccieth close by as well, and obviously the great scenery in Eryri.

We recently stayed at this site as a family (my wife, daughter, and I) and had a fantastic time. There was plenty to do throughout the day to keep our little one entertained, and in the evenings, it was lovely to relax in the private hot tub once she was asleep — a real bonus! The location was great too, with beautiful beaches just 10 minutes away, which made for some lovely day trips. We also had a bit of car trouble on our first day when our car wouldn’t start. We called reception and were so impressed — someone was out to help us within minutes. Thanks to their quick response, we were back on the road and able to enjoy the rest of our holiday without stress. Overall, a great stay with helpful staff, a lovely atmosphere, and a perfect base for a relaxing family break. Would definitely recommend!

Very well finished and spacious. It is on 3 floors so bedrooms upstairs toilet on ground floor with lounge and huge kitchen diner on the basement. Hot tub fabulous and large garden with river behind. It was near the main road but quiet at night. The bed was not very comfortable however and very low for us. Staff were excellent.

We stayed in a Suite Cabin which was lovely - well kept and clean. The hot tub was a nice addition to our stay and the accommodation was spacious, just what we needed. The staff we met were helpful, however we arrived late due to Traffic and the restaurant couldnt accommodate for us - we were advised to drive into Porthmadog to a take away... none were open! We struggled to get in to the restaurant all weekend due to it being fully booked so didnt eat on site once, so can't comment on food and restaurant. Overall, a really pleasant stay!

The park is set in attractive woodlands and gardens which, along with the roads on site, were well maintained. We stayed in one of the Cabana suites. Although it was close to the hotel, the setting was quiet and secluded. The accommodation itself was spotlessly clean and well appointed. All the members of staff we interacted with were friendly and helpful. We ate in the hotel restaurant twice and on both occasions enjoyed our meals: in particular, the fish was beautifully cooked.

Very nice cabins, the only issue we had was that plates were not completely clean for breakfast ( they were not washed fully)

There was clearly a lack of attention to detail and of staff. Those who were there were hard-working, multitasking; and friendly. Woodland Escape & Spa was great. An ample sized bathroom with two mulifunction showers, one of which required attention to loose fittings, a large bath, two basins. All the plugs leaked water and consequently we did not use the bath. Our room was not serviced the day after arrival and I had to ask for more shower gel & hair conditioner. It wasn't a problem but I shouldn't have had to ask. For environmentally friendly reasons, I suggest they install dispensers rather than individual containers and include body lotion. There was ambient lighting that adjusted to your own preference, however LED guiding night light strips along the bed could not be switched off, despite our contacting reception regarding this. On arrival we found broken glass outside which should have been cleared up before our arrival. Coffee pods had not been provided as we had been told. Tried to get decaffinated coffee or green tea, but these were unavailable. A card had been left stating who had prepared our room and that it had been checked by someone else. I dont think so! Restaurant provided basic food of average quality. We did not have breakfast. This is a wonderful location if you want to be immersed in nature, a quiet place and great base from which to explore parts of North Wales. However, the place needs to be adequately managed if it wants to be called luxurious.

On arrival we got downgraded to a room in the hotel from one of the cabana suites at no fault of our own. There was an “issue” with the cabana. The room was very basic and below standard. The floorboards were uneven and noisy - when walking around the room the wardrobe door knocked they were that uneven. The TV mount was half hanging off the wall. Went in the bathroom after we had been for tea and there was a horrendous sewage smell. The smell was coming from the shower, it was so bad we couldn’t take a shower it would’ve knocked us sick. On check out there was no one there, just leave your key on the reception. Left us a “gift” due to the inconvenience - a bottle of cheap Prosecco. Our night away for a birthday celebration was ruined. I’d never return.

Lovely hotel, nice room, huge bed. Quiet location.

We booked in for a spontaneous one night getaway based on positive reviews online and were pleased to find our expectations exceeded. We had a spacious and well appointed room with a four-poster bed and view towards the mountains that was just what we needed after a tough week. Staff were lovely and struck the perfect balance between friendly and professional. The Sunday carvery from the in-house restaurant was excellent all round. No sooner had we returned home and I was already recommending Aberduant Halll to friends. We'll certainly be back!

We stayed in Suite 19. Amazing room with separate living room, modern bathroom with large soaker bath. Had everything we needed and just across the toad from the Hall. Breakfast was faultless and plentiful. Evening meal menu had loads of options. Beautiful views. Stunning location. Will definitely stay again when in the srea.

Stayed in the Hall itself with a Mountain View room with a super comfy four poster bed. Great quiet location and lovely accommodation. Polite welcoming staff served us throughout our stay and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this hotel.

This was a very wonderful hotel. It is in a pretty location in the mountains of Snowdonia and the room was spacious and comfortable. Clean bathroom with his & hers sink, as well as a quite large shower with 2 heads. The four-post bed was comfortable and warm. The restaurant downstairs was very good too, especially the Winter Vegetable Stew and the dessert. We stayed here as a stopover point during a longer trip, but because of how nice it was, we decided we would come back to stay here for a few days again at some point. Side note- there are multiple waterfalls a short walk away from the hotel that are very beautiful.

The staff were very friendly and the room was beautiful, clean and comfortable. Lovely location. The walls are thin in the hotel and I could hear a conversation in the next room. The food was ok. The early bird menu is good value.

Such a wonderful stay - we only stayed one night and hadn’t overly researched where we were staying but were so pleasantly surprised. Beautiful, comfortable stay and restaurant was great too. The guy who was on reception 26th June about 3/4pm (maybe from Birmingham) who checked us in could not have been more helpful, so friendly and welcoming he really set the tone for our trip. Great customer service x

We had a good stay at Aberdunnant Hall. The hotel is in a great location, surrounded by nature. The room was clean and comfy with lovely views. There’s a bus stop about 10min walk. They could however improve on the check im process as this was being done by a stressed member of staff, who was doing 3 jobs at once (also serving the bar, answering phone). The same applied for check out, where you had to go locate the staff as they are serving breakfast. We had the pizza from the hotel bar, which was decent. They could put menus in the room to make things easier, as the online pizza ordering also doesn’t work (link doesn’t work and when it does the payment doesn’t process anyways).

Excellent stay though service in the restaurant was very fliw. Sat 40 minutes before we got any food Bar bill exprndive...a Pepsi( on tap) plus two packets of crisps came to £7.64). The room was lovely though

A beautiful and conveniently located holiday park for enjoying the area around Snowdonia National Park. Check-In was well organised with regular messages. The accommodation was as described and very clean. Highly recommended.

Lovely location and well sited cabins.

Set in a lovely quiet location but only a short drive away from Porthmadog and other places to visit. The staff were very friendly and efficient and the room, comfortable and perfect for my requirements. A buffet breakfast with a good selection to choose from and dinner in the restaurant came piping hot. Such a delight. I took a short walk within the grounds finding a few hidden gems plus a view of the mountains.

The hotel is quite secluded and is not easy to find. Room 9 is just above the dining hall and near the kitchen. So during dinner time, food smells will waft into the room.

BOOK IT is all I can say! You won't regret it. Very reasonably priced for what you get. A hidden gem. Restaurant is wonderful and the food delicious. Only thing I didn't love was breakfast. Lots of selection and wonderful baked goods/continental stuff but the cooked breakfast was barely warm which was a shame as everything else is perfect!

We had a very pleasant stay at the hotel. The staff were very friendly and attentive. We had dinner and breakfast, the food was well presented and was exactly how we expected it to be.

Lovely quiet location and Victorian hotel. Very well maintained on the whole. Restaurant very good food and nice ambiance but could do with changing the evening menu as it didn’t change the three consecutive nights we ate there.

After really looking forward to our stay, I left a little deflated unfortunately. It sounds very grand and certainly looked it as we arrived but it was terribly let down by the dining experience. Quite limited menu options, the food was only just 'Ok' and the atmosphere was poor. We were 3 couples set away from the rest of the diners and it was embarrassingly quiet. Breakfast was also very disappointing and I left most of it. It promised much more than it delivered sadly. Our room was great but there the greatness ended.
