Lilleshall House & Gardens and Lilleshall National Sports Centre

Came here for a wedding. Lovely statley home venue in the middle of a massive sports training campus. Every single member of staff I met was fantastic - they were so happy and really make this place. The grounds are well kept and gym was well equipped. Amazing breakfast too, in amoung all the sports teams training here.

The grounds at Lilleshall were great for an early morning walk and the view from my room was exceptional. Difficult to find the reception as it wasnt well signposted. On the morning i left i requested a receipt, either a paper copy or by email, but a week later and i haven't received it still.

A great combination of old and new styles. Excellent breakfast. If less mobile - be prepared for steps to climb/descend. Not a big problem but took us by surprise. Staff very helpful.

Comfortable accommodation Signage is poor so arriving in the dark makes it hard to find where to go. Lots of steps to accommodation. Electric cars charging was a huge bonus Great selection of breakfast items

Overall a good experience. Just the check-in is a bit confusing, they have 2 receptions and is not clear where you have to go. So I had to walk back and forth under the rain... and my room xlose to 1st reception. Anyway nice place.

Clean and comfortable room for a quick sleepover at a two day sports event. Parking a little restricted close to room. Not sure if I was asked about accessibility needs, there were several stairways to deal with in the area I stayed.

A little confusing upon arrival, but we were late getting there and reception was closed. All sorted within a few minutes and we were shown to our “Dormitory”…. Unfortunately all the rooms in the main building were full. Our room was spotless and very comfortable. In the morning, it was a real treat to see the beautiful grounds & next time we visit we’ll allow more time to explore. Electric car chargers supplied by PodPoint… not sure on the rate. Finally, if you leave hungry after the breakfast then you haven’t tried!

Happy to see 4 EV charge points on site - all working.

Really interesting place to stay. Once it’s something different from the norm. The facilities were great, as in the gym.

An excellent venue for an overnight stay. Room was a standard double, clean, comfortable, no frills! The breakfast choice was outstanding! Beautiful views of the garden from our room. Friendly staff.

2 night stay. Room not serviced. No thermostat on the shower so constant hot!!! Mould all around the shower base and wall. 9.30am check out a JOKE!! Breakfast very poor.

Bathroom wasn’t clean no offer of new towels on a 4day stay , dead bugs in lights above bed , no bed side lamp No refill on coffee etc No AC Really poor stay No window to any natual light just to old room like gym which leaks water

Very happy with the hotel generally but I was staying in room 205, and when I entered the room both the bathroom window, and the bedroom window were covered in flies. I set to with a towel and killed nearly all of the flies, and brushed them in a small area under the window. I assumed these would be cleared when the room was services, but was disappointed to find the same fly graveyard intact when I got back the following evening. The bed was made and the towels changed so the room had been serviced but not cleaned. I have photos of the fly collection but the app will not allow me to upload them Also the window frame was rotten, and there was very little water flow from the tap in the sink. Excellent pressure in the bath tap not 2 feet away though !?

Our room in the Manor House was very comfortable and extremely clean. Enjoyed our stay.

The bathroom was in need of refurbishing and cobwebs and hair should have been hoovered up.

Our room was basic but spotlessly clean. Had a great night's sleep on very comfortable bed. Buffet breakfast was excellent. Would definitely return

Not a great stay, a very tired room, peeling paint, mould and generally dusty, with lack of people to guide you in the maze of the complex. I've stayed here a few times, others stays were pretty good, but on this occasion, the room given was below par.

Immaculately maintained site. Lovely room overlooking gardens, very clean. Breakfast buffet very good, lots of choice. Excellent value for money.

This is a National Sports centre which offers accommodation of two kinds. The Hall itself is dates to the late 1800's it is splendid! The modern block provides something more akin to student accommodation. Our stay in the Hall was excellent. We particularly enjoyed the sunny terrace looking out over beautifully managed gardens. Breakfast was plentiful and included a wide variety of hot and cold foods. Parking was easy. As I have mobility issues, Poppy went out of her way to ensure access to all areas. Thank her for caring enough to make a difference.

Rooms were clean but very very basic.

The room was a good walk away from reception down a number of steps. In the room the lamp had no bulb in it, the side lights didn't work either and tv remote also didn't work. By the time this was noticed I was settled in the room so unable to do anything about it, no phone in the room and no phone reception on mobile.

Ok rooms for the price. Rooms are very out of the way. Bathroom light didn't work. Does the job for a place to sleep

The rooms was clean and tidy, the food was lovely. We stayed there once before had beautiful view but this time i walked into the room was disappointed with the view, we were in a room that overlooked a white wall when you looked down it overlooked what looked like a storage room, I felt claustrophobic, I shut the curtains and turned on the lights.

Excellent grounds, fantastic breakfast, very comfortable and cozy rooms. Wifi is inconsistent due to woodlands but great stay!

We stayed at the hotel for 2 nights to make a weekend away out of a competition event my partner was taking part in. We were very impressed with how picturesque the hotel venue was, as well as the room in itself. We booked a superior double room and it definitely lived up to the name, with a spacious bedroom , bathroom and living room space. The booking came with breakfast which offered plenty of choice to suit all tastes. The staff were very helpful in assisting to any query and request ( for example we needed an iron during our stay which wasn’t in the room and someone came around with an iron and ironing board within minutes). The location is slightly secluded , which can be a positive or negative, depending on what individuals are looking for. The bar and cafe area around the corner offers a selection of food and drink at reasonable prices for lunch etc during the day and the hotel itself does have a lunch service / menu in place. For those competing / involved in sports however ( and this is not a criticism of the hotel, just something that came as a shock to me about the venue as a whole) it’s not possible to really buy any sports nutrition near the venue, which I would assume would be one place to find it.

Room was wonderful and breakfast was excellent. Breakfast team were great. Quality of furnishings and design of bedroom 5 star. One concern in the bedroom was the height of eye level cabinets by the bedside, you could esily bang your head on them. Wifi and Mobile signal was dreadful. Location really good and gardens were stunning.

The room was very tired ,and lots of noise from other rooms ,not at all like when we stayed in the hall, which was a shame as that is why we booked a second time but was very disappointed

Checkin was seamless, the reception isnt that well highlighted but all fine. Room was located easily. Room light and airy lovely view overlooking the garden. Breakfast was nice and pleasant staff. Went to the bar on the 2nd night female bar staff very unapproachable and not engaging at all. No please or thank you. Other than that pleasant stay

Over a hour wait to check in, food options very poor, black debris from sink hot tap but room standard really good

The hotel rooms were better than expected although bed was uncomfortable. I felt like the hotel wasn’t used to having paying guests. The check in experience was poor where I was just passed a key, not given any directions or any info about the amenities. One night I came home at 11pm to find all of my belongings had been taken out the room and I was told it was because the cleaners probably thought I’d checked out so they could sell the room again (I hadn’t checked out…). The food is a shared canteen with the athletes on campus, so weird setting, but good food. The EV charger was constantly unavailable as people use it for normal vehicles and it isn’t managed. I reached out to the hotel about my experience and didn’t receive a response.

Accommodation was clean and very comfortable. Reception staff not very accommodating.... We had to leave early on our departure day so we would miss our breakfast. We heard another guest also in our position order an early breakfast pack. I asked and was told it was prebook only. This was at 4pm. Receptionist didn't even find out if it would be possible. Just a short abrupt response... A member of our party later heard and saw somebody else appear to arrange an early breakfast box. Just thought it was a bit poor and didn't feel very welcomed, but bar staff/snack bar staff were lovely and attentive. Also water pressure in our room wasn't good, a dribble out of the sink taps.

Beautiful grounds.

Excellent hotel. Don't be put off by it being part of a major sports centre, the main house and rooms are excellent. The room was large, completely newly refurbished, excellent bathroom and very comfortable. There is a restaurant, which was just as well, because it's very remote and we had a very nice and reasonably priced meal, with a good, sensibly priced bottle of wine. Very good breakfast too.

What an amazing place with absolutely beautiful grounds, would definitely recommend staying here and would definitely stay again.

The place itself is lovely, the staff were fantastic! Don't arrive when it's dark though, the signage to the hotel bit is awful!! Look for the signs to Main Reception, then look on the other side of the road! Set your sat nav for Lilleshall Golf Club, then keep going! Much easier. Breakfast is great, we ate in the restaurant one night, delicious food and reasonably priced. Only issue, wi-fi is a little patchy, even when you do get on, it throws you out occasionally. Recommended!!

Out of the way but a delightful setting. Room basic but well turned out and all gadgets worked. Quiet room & comfortable bed. In an annexe which meant parking car a little way from accommodation & breakfast served in another building. I didn't mind the walk although in wet weather or with a disability another matter! Wi-Fi very poor but sometimes great to get away from the modern world. Staff extremely helpful. Breakfast excellent & much enjoyed! The drive to the accommodation a bit disconcerting with a single track road & the accursed speed bumps which seemed to go on for ever. Nevertheless would stay again!

This was such a beautiful space. The room was the perfect size, and the view of the gardens were spectacular. We had to leave early in the morning so we didn't get to try the breakfast, but the other food options available were delicious. We spent a lot of time outside in the gardens and pond exploring the property.

Nice room very clean and good facilities. Disappointed that restaurant was closed by 8pm so had to drive to nearby pub The Fox to get a proper meal - that was very good though

Rooms were very good indeed, great shower too. Bar and restaurant fine if you are attending the sports facilities, not so good if you are just a normal hotel guest, pretty boring.

Hotel was great - the staff very friendly and helpful and gave us a good welcome. The room was clean and had everything in it we would want. The breakfast was excellent and there was everything we could want and, of course, endless coffee etc.

Friendly staff but arrived at 7.30pm and the restaurant was closing. Managed to get a snack in the bar but very limited choice. Room was clean and adequate mattresses very soft. WiFi not working and limited phone signal. Breakfast was great and plenty of it but a bit cold. Fine given the price we had paid but would have been disappointed if I had paid any more.

Stunning surroundings, nice room with views. The let down was the restaurant ordered 18:30 had mains 22:00 and food was awful, four full tables and everyone was saying how bad the food was, only when seated got asked what drinks we would like and not asked again. Such ashame ruined our time there.
