I love the location of the hotel but was not aware it was under construction. This was unfortunate as the door to the lobby was closed off and we had to walk a half block to the other door. The noise in the lobby and dining area was unpleasant as we tried to have breakfast. And the entrance to the elevator was through a staff only door. Other than that it, the room was great.

The location is perfect for a day in the city. Close to everything. The staff was friendly. The free shuttle to the airport was easy to arrange with the service offered 24 hours. I was transported at 3:20 am to the airport saving the cost of an Uber and assured safety at the hour. The gym was under renovations so I knocked off points for that the the lobby and care area are very tight so that’s not so appealing. However the rooms were large and inexpensive. The bed was very comfortable and the bathroom was spacious. I would recommend staying there is you are enjoying a couple of days in the city exploring. It’s in the heart of so many shops and places to eat.

We came to shop. Hotel was as nice as always. The renovation concerning the elevators was inconvenient but NOT very bad. Alice was the queen of the breakfast nook, loved her banter. Brandon ,(mgr?), was very pleasant and accommodating. Love Hyatt Place

Pefect location to head to the water or head into town. Close to all of the key locations we wanted to see while visiting Portland for the first time. Gym was out of servcie and that was a bummer.

Door wouldn't close unless pushed hard, metallic sounds coming from ac, no amenities like pool or water fill station, bathroom partially remodeled, valet changed seat settings and had radio blasting, bars and dispensary across street, homeless and needles found on the street outside.

Very nice hotel! Excellent location. Breakfast was good. Valet parking very friendly and efficient. The only thing I can say is that the shower in our room needed attention to cleaning. There was mold beside the door inside the shower (didn't get a picture) and the grout was very dirty and moldy. The bathroom is well ventilated so this is just a cleaning/maintenance issue. The sink in the bathroom was cracked and did not drain well. Overall, the bathroom needs some attention - room 210. Would have liked housekeeping every day, rather than every other day. Overall very good stay!

After staying at this particular Hyatt, there is no difference in this hotel and a lower caliber hotel. The showers had mildew throughout. The bathroom doors add no privacy. When you turn the bathroom lights on with the door shut it illuminates the hotel room.

Great hotel in downtown Portland. It’s across from a few bars on Fore Street. Very noisy between 9pm and 1am. Thursday, Friday, and Saturday, nights I was awakened every 1/2 hour by loud noise on the street. IfI stay there again I will request a room that faces a quieter area.

Perfect location for a two-day exploration of Portland. The spacious room was recently renovated and in great condition. The only thing I’d change would be the frosted glass sliding door to the bathroom, an odd choice since it does not provide sound or light privacy. But it was not a big deal. We would be glad to stay here again.

We had the corner balcony room with the most fantastic views of Portland and the bay. The glass panels on the patio are sound proof so they kept the loud street noise ( on a Saturday night!) at bay. The room was comfortable yet starting to show it's age. Some updating is needed.

Great location. Room with two beds… there is no walking room on one side of each bed. Only nightstand is in the middle. Third floor rooms have roof right outside window with seagulls living there and trash. A/C not cool overnight at all. Was fine for a one night quick stay but I would have asked to be moved if we were staying longer. Nice front desk person and great walkable neighborhood. Incredibly expensive for such a basic barebones feeling stay.

My wife and I stayed at the Hyatt for our two year anniversary. It is a very nice hotel from the exterior and the lobby. We rented a king size room and it was very clean and appealing. The AC unfortunately blows directly on the bed and can be very dry/cold while sleeping. My part of the mattress was sunken in with a large divot and caused me to toss and turn all night. Overall, our stay was good, however I would recommend diverting the AC in a different direction and updating their beds.

I did not get to stay because the hotel gave me a room where someone else was already sleeping. It was terrifying and i was so shocked and disturbed! I travel for work frequently and this has never happened before. I wont book through this service again. It was terrifying!

The valet parking guys were amazing and helpful, 5 STARS!!! Front desk so-so. Housekeeping terrible. We asked for more bath towels and bedding. (There was not enough in the room that slept 6 and we had 5 people) Housekeeping came to the room after asking twice at two hours apart. She threw the bag on the floor entranceway and said get him out. We asked if there was any more pillows. She crossed her arms and shook her head and said no, and walked away. Breakfast was good but the two people working could not keep up. The place was packed for breakfast it was from 6:30am-9am and we arrived around 8:20am. The were huge waits for the elevator and sometimes it was working. Had to use the stairs. Best part was the location and the valet service.

I called less than 24 hours to tell the front desk we were going to be late to our reservation. I knew and I wasn’t expecting to get refunded because we were late. The lady working at the front desk said she would do a late registration for me. I called back twice to make sure registration was going to register me in late. The next day when I got to the hotel the lady working in registration did not do a late check in for me. They canceled my hotel room. Also, all the rooms were dirty, we had wait over a hour for a room. They were able to get me a new hotel room, but it was not the one I paid for. I paid for a room on a higher floor. We were on the second floor with a dog barking all night. I wouldn’t stay here again. They are not organized. The staff don’t follow through on what they say they’re going to do for the customers.

We booked a room and arrived and were told they overbooked and did not have a room. We were on our way to a show so we’re not able to drop our bags. Although the Hyatt found us another room it was certainly not of equal value and was not in a great location. Because of the error we needed to go back to the Hyatt after the show to retrieve our car from valet and drive to another hotel not arriving until 12:30 AM. Completely unacceptable. We should have been offered a free room for another night

We enjoyed the location of the property and how easy it was to walk to the water and most of the activities we were doing in Portland. We did have to drive to the lighthouse, but otherwise everything else was walkable. Lots of places to eat nearby and shops. It was safe as well, with a decent seeming night life near by.

great hotel, silly that they don’t serve breakfast past 930am should at least be until 11am personally. also i was literally dying of food poisoning from either and was waiting for our car, the front could not get a hint to not talk to me at 10pm?? “oh it’s a windy night, colder then you would think haha” all because i walked out and walked back inside, clearly not feeling well as i wait for a ride to the ER. maybe i’m over reacting cause i was not doing well for 5 hours at that point but other then that the hotel was fine.

Great hotel right in downtown Portland! We were able to walk everywhere we wanted to go. Valet service was speedy and friendly when we were ready to leave. Great breakfast! Would definitely stay here again if ever in the Portland area again

Location works well for main sights of Portland. Parking was made easy via Valet option - pricey ($45 August 2026), though it is what it is, and is simply added to the bill on departure. Bar closed at 10pm, which seemed early for the lost souls hanging out at that time. Why 4/5? Room cleanliness was not up to scratch - in particular, lots of rubbish left under the sofa bed which became visible once opening it out. Such an obvious place for dirt to congregate, so always surprises me that they don't pay enough attention here. Finally, I advise you check the bill on departure - we were charged twice for breakfast - again, a simple thing for them to check themselves. Enjoy Portland!
