The Pirate Hotel was conveniently located for all of the local attractions. We caught a bus from the airport to the closest stop which was just outside of Legoland and then it was a short walk across the road to the hotel. This cost just £5.52. We were early to check in and just wanted to leave our bags but the lady behind reception kindly checked if the room was ready, unfortunately it wasn’t but she allowed us to stow our bags in the luggage room so we could go and explore Billund. When we did check in the experience was simple. The room was basic but what we expected, our son loved the pirate theme and the addition of some Lego builds in the room. My only complaints about the room would be a noisy radiator (although we didn’t have it turned on) and the light from the street light that beams in through a window in the door when you are trying to sleep. The breakfast buffet included in the price was OK but I don’t think I would have paid out of pocket for it everyday. The evening meals are limited to another buffet which I feel was overpriced or a basic takeaway offering pizza or chicken nuggets which although the portions were large I still feel this was over priced. All staff were friendly and helpful. We will definitely be back to Billund it was such a lovely clean place to visit.

We skipped breakfast on day 2 and went to Espresso House instead.

Camera vicino al ristorante e all’ingresso, dotata dei servizi essenziali più un baule di lego DUPLO con cui i bimbi hanno giocato sempre. Il campeggio è meraviglioso, con aree boschive (c’erano lepri e scoiattoli) e giochi per bambini mai visti prima. Ottima la colazione alla mattina. Quando prenotate tenete conto che avrete circa 50 euro in più per il noleggio della biancheria e che dovrete farvi voi i letti e disfarli. Ma il contesto, la vicinanza a LEGOLAND e la natura valgono sicuramente la pena.

A great location for visiting Legoland, it's about a 10 minute walk which is perfect. We stayed in the Lego motel, the room was nice for a short stay. We did find it quite noisy, from the people above. At times it felt like they were in the same room. Also we found the sheet hire very expensive, i not sure why this can't be included in the room price. Apart from this, we found the team to be lovely, the play parks were brilliant and the breakfast was excellent. We would stay here again and would probably try one of the Ninjago lodges.

Sehr kinderfreundliche Unterkunft und sehr nettes, zuvorkommendes Personal. Das Zimmer und das Bad waren sauber, wenn auch etwas in die Jahre gekommen, das hat aber nicht gestört. Die Kinder konnten sich auf dem Gelände frei austoben, es sind viele Spielmöglichkeiten vorhanden. Das Legoland ist zu Fuß schnell erreichbar. Das Frühstücks- und Abendbuffet ist sehr reichhaltig und es ist für jeden Geschmack etwas dabei. Alles in allem war es ein sehr schöner, angenehmer Aufenthalt.

Fungerte veldig bra. Det er også kjøkken på området så man kan koke vann eller som oss, steke pizza:)I og med at det ikke er kjøleskap på rommet var kjøkkenet kjærkomment. Frokostbuffeten var helt ok, ikke særskilt sunn, men egg, bacon, pannekaker, barna var veldig fornøyde og det var også knekkebrød og brie til foreldrene. Det aller beste var nok selve området, legoland village er så innmari trivelig, flere mindre lekeplasser og en stor med stall med esler, høner og geiter rett ved. Skikkelig koselig, masse folk i «gatene» der hele tiden.

Location pulita e ordinata, personle disponibile. La camera a tema pirati è semplice e funzionale ai bambini sono piaciute molto le decorazioni piratesche. Si trova a pochi minuti a piedi da Legoland e 20 minuti da lego house. Vicino ci sono le fermate degli autobus e Lalandia a 100 m. Peccato che abbiamo dovuto pagare la biancheria come un extra.

This is basically a camping site with a few buildings with rooms in them. It is not a motel. Facilities for kids are very good and its an excellent place for them to meet new playmates from all over Europe. Small supermarket on site quite expensive. Rooms have wi-fi and a small TV. No fridge, air con or tea making facilities. Rooms are pretty basic but clean. One other thing, towels and bedding cost extra. Breakfast was included and was adequate.

Det kom bag på os, at man selv skulle medbringe sengetøj og håndklæder - alternativt kunne der lejes. Fine værelser - god morgenmadsbuffet. Aftenbuffeten var der ikke noget at skrive om - andet end vi blev mætte.

I was really disappointed with check in! I checked in on a machine and it told me my room number and printed out a key. There was no further information regarding how to get to the room, what time breakfast was served, whether we needed a voucher or just gave our name on arrival. etc etc There were 3 members of staff in the check in area but they didn't seem too keen to help even though check in was quite busy, and were doing other jobs eg: on the computer etc. They didn't seem very impressed when I needed help on how to find the room, I just found the customer experience really poor.... How ever we stayed in a pirate room and it was lovely - really clean and plenty of space for 2 adults and 2 big kids. The bed wasn't comfy at all, pretty much like sleeping on a camp bed but it was only for one night so we managed. Breakfast was included in the price and we really enjoyed it. There was plenty of choice and you could eat as much as you like. We only stayed one night so didn't use many of the facilities but my son absolutely loved the play area's. Location is fantastic... literally across the road from Lalandia and Legoland. Despite the poor customer service at the start we really enjoyed our stay.

Veldig bra beliggenhet. Vi var etter et luftig sted, som var ikke innestengt som et hotell. Det at motellet er inn i Legoland Vila er en stor fordel. Barna koste seg masse med å gå rundt og leke og se på alle ting. Inne var innredningen ganske utslit, det var rett og slett gammelt. Men vi var bare en natt og det gikk fint.

Fullstendig mangel på ventilasjon på rommet og badet gjorde dette til en klam opplevelse. For varmt om natten, og kliss umulig å få tørka klær og badetøy. Dusjforhenget begynte etter hvert å lukte mer enn ønskelig. Veldig lytt mellom enhetene, og med en svært høylytt og generelt støyende familie i etasjen over gjorde ikke dette opplevelsen bedre. Renhlod og service ellers opplevdes som forventet, bra.

Como não tinha mais vaga no hotel ao lado da LEGOLAND, tivemos que pegar esse que achamos bem razoável. Na verdade, você aluga só a suíte, chegando no local tem que pagar pelos lençóis e toalhas e eles não fazem limpeza nos quartos, pelo que eu entendi dependendo da tarifa que você paga você tem que entregar os quartos limpos! Na nossa a limpeza final já estava paga… enfim, estacionamento está incluído e pode ir a pé para o parque (isso é bom) e o café já tínhamos incluído na diária também (café bom, mas nada demais)!
Como não tinha mais vaga no hotel ao lado da LEGOLAND, tivemos que pegar esse que achamos bem razoável. Na verdade, você aluga só a suíte, chegando no local tem que pagar pelos lençóis e toalhas e eles não fazem limpeza nos quartos, pelo que eu entendi dependendo da tarifa que você paga você tem que entregar os quartos limpos! Na nossa a limpeza final já estava paga… enfim, estacionamento está incluído e pode ir a pé para o parque (isso é bom) e o café já tínhamos incluído na diária também (café bom, mas nada demais)!

Slitet hotell, kännas gammalt och ofräscht, även om det var städat ok. Hutlöst att ta så mycket betalt för den standarden. Dålig frukost i ofräsch matsal. Alldeles för mycket folk, mat och dryck var slut hela tiden och bara en fungerande kaffemaskin.

Η διαμονή μας ηταν εξαιρετική! Το δωμάτιο μεγάλο, αν και για 8 άτομα. Ο περιβάλλον χώρος πολύ φροντισμένος, με παιδική χαρά και τραμπολίνο! Ό,τι καλύτερο για τα παιδιά! Το πρωινό πλούσιο, κάλυπτε όλες τις γεύσεις. Το προσωπικό πολύ φιλικό και εξυπηρετικό! Η μόνη παραφωνία ήταν τα κλινοσκεπάσματα, τα οποία τελικά δεν περιλαμβάνονταν στην τιμή του δωματίου, που είχαμε κλείσει αρχικά οπότε χρειάστηκε να τα πληρώσουμε έξτρα. Μεγαλη προσοχή στα ψιλά γράμματα!!!!

A great location for visiting Legoland, it's about a 10 minute walk which is perfect. We stayed in the Lego motel, the room was nice for a short stay. We did find it quite noisy, from the people above. At times it felt like they were in the same room. Also we found the sheet hire very expensive, i not sure why this can't be included in the room price. Apart from this, we found the team to be lovely, the play parks were brilliant and the breakfast was excellent. We would stay here again and would probably try one of the Ninjago lodges.

Fullstendig mangel på ventilasjon på rommet og badet gjorde dette til en klam opplevelse. For varmt om natten, og kliss umulig å få tørka klær og badetøy. Dusjforhenget begynte etter hvert å lukte mer enn ønskelig. Veldig lytt mellom enhetene, og med en svært høylytt og generelt støyende familie i etasjen over gjorde ikke dette opplevelsen bedre. Renhlod og service ellers opplevdes som forventet, bra.

The room was basic. The pillow wasn’t great, very flat to lay your head on, the room was dark due to the lights not very bright, the window once open doesn’t stay open and it was hot in the evening. The location was good near to the Airport, Aquadome and Legoland.

Fint og hyggeligt sted til prisen. Ualmindelig fin og sympatisk serviceminded medarbejdere i receptionen samt i stedets restaurant (spisested) Alt i alt en god og positiv oplevelse for vores familie, store som små.

I was really disappointed with check in! I checked in on a machine and it told me my room number and printed out a key. There was no further information regarding how to get to the room, what time breakfast was served, whether we needed a voucher or just gave our name on arrival. etc etc There were 3 members of staff in the check in area but they didn't seem too keen to help even though check in was quite busy, and were doing other jobs eg: on the computer etc. They didn't seem very impressed when I needed help on how to find the room, I just found the customer experience really poor.... How ever we stayed in a pirate room and it was lovely - really clean and plenty of space for 2 adults and 2 big kids. The bed wasn't comfy at all, pretty much like sleeping on a camp bed but it was only for one night so we managed. Breakfast was included in the price and we really enjoyed it. There was plenty of choice and you could eat as much as you like. We only stayed one night so didn't use many of the facilities but my son absolutely loved the play area's. Location is fantastic... literally across the road from Lalandia and Legoland. Despite the poor customer service at the start we really enjoyed our stay.

Camera vicino al ristorante e all’ingresso, dotata dei servizi essenziali più un baule di lego DUPLO con cui i bimbi hanno giocato sempre. Il campeggio è meraviglioso, con aree boschive (c’erano lepri e scoiattoli) e giochi per bambini mai visti prima. Ottima la colazione alla mattina. Quando prenotate tenete conto che avrete circa 50 euro in più per il noleggio della biancheria e che dovrete farvi voi i letti e disfarli. Ma il contesto, la vicinanza a LEGOLAND e la natura valgono sicuramente la pena.

Como não tinha mais vaga no hotel ao lado da LEGOLAND, tivemos que pegar esse que achamos bem razoável. Na verdade, você aluga só a suíte, chegando no local tem que pagar pelos lençóis e toalhas e eles não fazem limpeza nos quartos, pelo que eu entendi dependendo da tarifa que você paga você tem que entregar os quartos limpos! Na nossa a limpeza final já estava paga… enfim, estacionamento está incluído e pode ir a pé para o parque (isso é bom) e o café já tínhamos incluído na diária também (café bom, mas nada demais)!

I wouldn't advise anyone to stay here for one night, like we did. Pay a little bit extra and stay in a hotel. This place is for people who want to stay for a few nights/a week. After our flight arrived into Billund airport late at night, we collected our car and drove to the Motel. The member of staff was delightful, however, it was only at checkin that we were made aware that we needed to pay extra for our bed linens. I paid the fee and was given three packs that included: single bottom sheet, duvet cover, pillowcase, hand towel and large towel. I was then told the general direction of our chalet room, which was really difficult to find in the dark - it was on the first floor, up a metal staircase. With two children in tow - on my own - we made it to the room, where I started to make the beds, however, I wasn't given a double fitted sheet, so I had to leave the children in the room and return to the front desk to get one. We only used one of the towels between the three of us, so it was a complete waste of energy to have given me three sets of towels. The breakfast was a buffet style, which was quite nice, with plenty of options. We won't be returning to this Motel.

The hotel is in an ideal spot for Legoland & Lalandia Waterpark. However the hotel felt more like a hostel with the rooms being very basic and having to make up & strip the bed linen, which we were not expecting, considering the price. The buffet breakfast was good with plenty of options, especially the pancake making for the kids. It was also great to have fresh bean to cup coffee to set us up for busy days. The buffet dinner was adequate after a long day swimming, but there are better and tastier options in Billund. Overall it was an average hotel, which is saved from a lower rating by its location next to Legoland.

The Pirate Hotel was conveniently located for all of the local attractions. We caught a bus from the airport to the closest stop which was just outside of Legoland and then it was a short walk across the road to the hotel. This cost just £5.52. We were early to check in and just wanted to leave our bags but the lady behind reception kindly checked if the room was ready, unfortunately it wasn’t but she allowed us to stow our bags in the luggage room so we could go and explore Billund. When we did check in the experience was simple. The room was basic but what we expected, our son loved the pirate theme and the addition of some Lego builds in the room. My only complaints about the room would be a noisy radiator (although we didn’t have it turned on) and the light from the street light that beams in through a window in the door when you are trying to sleep. The breakfast buffet included in the price was OK but I don’t think I would have paid out of pocket for it everyday. The evening meals are limited to another buffet which I feel was overpriced or a basic takeaway offering pizza or chicken nuggets which although the portions were large I still feel this was over priced. Location pulita e ordinata, personle disponibile. La camera a tema pirati è semplice e funzionale ai bambini sono piaciute molto le decorazioni piratesche. Si trova a pochi minuti a piedi da Legoland e 20 minuti da lego house. Vicino ci sono le fermate degli autobus e Lalandia a 100 m. Peccato che abbiamo dovuto pagare la biancheria come un extra.
Location pulita e ordinata, personle disponibile. La camera a tema pirati è semplice e funzionale ai bambini sono piaciute molto le decorazioni piratesche. Det kom bag på os, at man selv skulle medbringe sengetøj og håndklæder - alternativt kunne der lejes. Fine værelser - god morgenmadsbuffet. Aftenbuffeten var der ikke noget at skrive om - andet end vi blev mætte.

There were pretty much no vegan options for protein, the bread rolls were hard, the scrambled (probably powdered) eggs were way too salty. Not a great experience. We skipped breakfast on day 2 and went to Espresso House instead.

Allting fantastiskt. Dock väldigt väldigt lyhört. Tyckte buffén var något dyr och så var all mat kall oavsett om man tog potatispurjogratäng (som var väldigt god) eller fisk/kött. Hade önskat varm mat. Speciellt för det priset. Fantastiskt fint pyntat med alla pumpor och annat. Verkligen en upplevelse att bo här.

Il campeggio è meraviglioso, con aree boschive (c’erano lepri e scoiattoli) e giochi per bambini mai visti prima. Ottima la colazione alla mattina. Quando prenotate tenete conto che avrete circa 50 euro in più per il noleggio della biancheria e che dovrete farvi voi i letti e disfarli. Ma il contesto, la vicinanza a LEGOLAND e la natura valgono sicuramente la pena.

Sehr kinderfreundliche Unterkunft und sehr nettes, zuvorkommendes Personal. Das Zimmer und das Bad waren sauber, wenn auch etwas in die Jahre gekommen, das hat aber nicht gestört. Die Kinder konnten sich auf dem Gelände frei austoben, es sind viele Spielmöglichkeiten vorhanden. Das Legoland ist zu Fuß schnell erreichbar. Das Frühstücks- und Abendbuffet ist sehr reichhaltig und es ist für jeden Geschmack etwas dabei. Alles in allem war es ein sehr schöner, angenehmer Aufenthalt.

The hotel is in an ideal spot for Legoland & Lalandia Waterpark. However the hotel felt more like a hostel with the rooms being very basic and having to make up & strip the bed linen, which we were not expecting, considering the price. The buffet breakfast was good with plenty of options, especially the pancake making for the kids. It was also great to have fresh bean to cup coffee to set us up for busy days. The buffet dinner was adequate after a long day swimming, but there are better and tastier options in Billund. Overall it was an average hotel, which is saved from a lower rating by its location next to Legoland.

This is basically a camping site with a few buildings with rooms in them. It is not a motel. Facilities for kids are very good and its an excellent place for them to meet new playmates from all over Europe. Small supermarket on site quite expensive. Rooms have wi-fi and a small TV. No fridge, air con or tea making facilities. Rooms are pretty basic but clean. One other thing, towels and bedding cost extra. Breakfast was included and was adequate.
