Maui Banyan Vacation Club

Check in was friendly and easy. The rooms were very clean with all of the tools you need. I would have lights available water as the soda machine did not carry water. Also, the temporary parking for check-in was full when I got there and there was nowhere else to park for check-in. Overnight parking was limited as well since most of the spots are reserved for owners. Otherwise it was a good property and I would recommend it to somebody.

The room was clean. it is very close to the ocean. the pool is small and there are no ramps. or elevators. so you are carrying your luggage up and down lots of stairs. also, this is two properties. if you rented from Maui Banyan, you have to make a call, even to get another towel. it is still very nice due to the beach being right across the street and a beautiful swimming beach.

We had a lovely condo for 2 weeks & had a partial ocean view. The only issue, since we are travelling for a month we had several suitcases, there was no elevator & no way to get a cart down 2 sets of stairs. We are aged & both have hand issues so that was a problem getting luggage to & from our lovely condo 🙄

The overall location is great and convenient, though parking can be a bit of a hassle depending on which unit you are in.

The parking was terrible. Our room was down a bunch stairs and next to a loud road. No real place to sit outside and the mosquitoes are terrible.

Our stay was perfect!! Front office was so friendly when we checked in and out. It was so close to everything—beautiful beach, good food, shops. The only down sides, both of which were out of our control, were that one of the parking lots was closed for construction which wasn’t an huge inconvenience. Also, our building was having some roof work done. Will definitely stay here again!!

Beautiful resort across the street from one of the nicest beaches in Maui. Very clean and staff was awesome. They also have a very nice pool and spa barbecues that you can use as well.

It's closeness to the beach was very convenient. The grounds were well manicured. Pool and barbeque area was a welcomed amenity. Walking distance to restaurants and shops was short. Only drawback was the paper thin walls between units. Lucky for us our neighbors were fairly quiet. I would definitely book this resort again.

Friendly staff, excellent customer service, clean room with excellent accommodations, and great location. Ample parking. One of the side table lamps in our room was shorting in and out. We bought a replacement bulb ourselves, but that still didn’t fix it. We will definitely come again.

Room was super musty and smelled our clothes up with staying five nights. Will not return as it’s super old rooms and not cleaned properly.

Property was exceptionally clean and welcoming. People at the poolside were nice. Pool was never crowded. The room I had was managed by Soliel and was impeccably clean, including the exhaust fan cover in the bathroom. I have never seen that anywhere before in all my travels. The property was beautiful and having free parking was a great amenity.

Hotel location is great! Close to food and shops and beach directly across the street. My only complaint would be the overwhelming musty smell. We bought air fresheners to try to help dampen it but barely worked. The room was clean and functional otherwise.

Great location. Close to the beach. Nice kitchenette. F101A smelled very musty. The room was dark and dated. We were disappointed that there were no beach chairs or umbrella which are available in other units we have stayed at in this complex. The homeless camps across the street made us uncomfortable to leave our doors open. The shower temperature fluctuated badly.

It was really hard because it smelled like urine. Need to be deep cleaning.

They put us in a previously flooded room that smelled like mold . We had to stay in our car the first night. They did move us , but will not answer my emails to refund me for the first night. Never again !

The unit I was in (T102A) was older but kept extremely clean. I don’t usually like carpet in a rental but this one was clean. So close to the beach and restaurants. Great pool!

This was a great stay for us for our first trip to Maui. East to find, excellent location to beautiful beaches and lots of shopping and food nearby. The room we had needed a little TLC to make it more comfortable and functional, but since we didn’t spend a large amount of time in the room it wasn’t much of an issue. We did have some noisier neighbours for the last few days of the trip to maybe some better sound proofing between the doors would be beneficial, but again we didn’t spend a large amount of time in the room so we ignored what we could while there. We would definitely go back, really was such a good location and very friendly staff.

I was initially a little weary because of some of the poor reviews I read about this site, so I was very pleasantly relieved to have a very good experience here. The staff was responsive and helpful, The room was lovely although a bit musty until I had been there for a day or two with doors and windows open, it was very quiet, and the location was perfect for me since I didn't rent a car and just walk to anything I wanted. I particularly appreciated that this place is right across the street from beach and the pool was very clean and quiet. I would definitely stay here again if I could have a room with a view. The room I stayed in was on a lower floor without a view of anything and it was a bit dark and musty in the beginning. It was definitely worth the money to stay here for a couple days.

The Maui Banyan is in a great location, close to the beach and restaurants. The condo was a little dated and very dark. The studio we had was clean and tidy, and well equipped, however there was limited counter space to prepare food. Having said all we enjoyed our stay for 4 nights.

Property was located across the street from the beach. The feont office staff was friendly. Check in was super easy. The room was spacious. Our studio was equipped with a small refrigerator, microwave, toaster, and coffee pot. We had a balcony to stwp out and take in the morning air. One night that we stayed, the fire alarm went off. As soon as we opened our door you can smell something burni g. We evacuated to the parking lot. We never received any communication feom the ataff. Another guest went to ask after 15 minutes. We were told a guest down the hall left something in the microwave and forgot about it. The smell came through the vents in our room.

Room was adequate, kitchenette worked well for us. Microwave and mini fridge with plates, cups, silverware, knives, cutting board, toaster, coffee maker. AC worked great. Nothing fancy, but everything we needed.

We were pleased with the overall experience of the accommodation, except that the rooms were connected by an adjoining door. We could hear every noise in the next room as though it were in our room, this was very off-putting. That is the only negative. Staff were very friendly, welcoming, helpful. And the locals were also very warm, welcoming…

This was a great location to stay. Depending on the building you are a hop and a skip from the beach. Pool/Beach towels were included in our room. Be aware housekeeping is not offered. Plan accordingly with your towel usage. The room did not include beach chairs or an umbrella. We rented for the week from a vender down the street. The kitchenette in our room was very basic - similar to a North American hotel room. Small fridge/freezer combo. Be prepared if you’re buying lots of groceries. The room was very loud. Could hear your neighbours and the outside. If you are a light sleeper pack some ear plugs. Overall the facility and grounds were awesome. The pools were very nice.

Reception area and service is confusing. Not sure how it’s being managed but it’s almost like reception is a third party and that there’s another person outside the area that can fully assist us (they gave us two separate numbers to call). Even the reception area name confused me for it’s not named after the property we rented out. They gave us details for the wrong room (thought we got bad keys, and had to walk back to reception, turns out we were trying to open the wrong room), also on our first night we didn’t have wifi and the room has a strong smell (my guess is from the carpet). This unique experience is inconvenient in a way (but guessing it’s just how Maui properties are being rented out) I would still give a good review for the value and area convenience. Will be back well informed next time.

The communication for our first night was awful. We were told we were going to get lock box info for our unit and nothing came thru thank his we found security on site that helped us gain access to our unit. We almost had to get a hotel as no one was answering messages sent thru contact info provided. The unit itself was nice other than there was some plumbing issues that would cause a high pitch sound coming from bathroom which we had to flush toilet in order for sound to go away.

Inexpensive property in a walkable area with exceedingly poor communication.

The Maui Banyan was a clean, safe and welcoming stay. It provided the basics which is what we needed to visit family. The only thing we were disappointed about was there was no room turn over service. We had to take out our own trash, make our bed and ask for fresh towels.

We arrived right At 9 PM and as I was coming up to the sliding door to the entrance the woman came and locked the door and told me through the Glass to pick up the Phone to the right of the lock box and call security to get a code to get into the lock box to retrieve the keys to the room. I called security and they told me to pick up the Phone to the left of the lock box and call someone else who would give me the code. I picked up that Phone and a someone answered , asked my name and told me they had no such reservation, refused to take my confirmation number and told me to call Travelocity. I called Travelocity and they tried to help but told me no one was answering their call. I then picked up the Phone on the left of the lock box and again explained the situation and was told the same thing ‘they did not have a reservation under my name’ and wouldn’t even take my confirmation or reservation number because they couldnt find that I had a reservation. After several minutes of talking and asking did she think I should just go sleep on the Beach I was told ‘I need to talk with my supervisor’. I was put on hold for who knows how long and finally a security guard came up , opened the lock box and surprise,surprise there was an envelope with my name on it. The room was lovely but because it was part Business trip part relaxation,I was unable to get on internet next morning. Someone came but could never get connected and had to go somewhere else to get on WIFI for work.

The staff was amazing, the grounds were very good.. housekeeping was non existent unless you request it. We arrived to dead remote batteries (not that we watched much tv but when we did , the batteries were dead- had to supply our own) and the toilet paper was one roll for 8 days - you have to ask for it so we bought our own - It was still a nice place to stay- not the hilton but it served its purpose.. somewhere to lay my head at the end of a day

We were originally booked into a studio apartment, but when we got there the roof on that building was under repair causing a lot of noise and debris outside our assigned room. Called to complain and were promptly moved to another building and upgraded to a full apartment. Nice apartment with a great balcony overlooking a beautiful garden. We really appreciated the response to our problem with the first room.

They have no one working outside of 9-9 and the the keycards demagnetize easily. I got locked out in the morning which could have been worse since the after hours people did not respond. They did not make up the room at all during my 3 night stay.

The location was very good and walkable distance from the beach. Plenty of parking and there's a lot of choices of cafés, restaurants and convenient stores nearby. The room has an older look but comfortable to stay at.

The room was beautiful and comfortable. The grounds were lovely. The location was amazing, right across the street from Kamaole Beach II, the pool and hot tub were nice.

We booked our stay with Maui Banyan Vacation Club. When we arrived we were slightly confused because the hotel entrance Aston Maui Vacation Club. I learned that Maui Banyan has a portion of the rooms there, booked and cleaned by their own staff. The office staff at Aston Maui were only able to check us in and give us keys, for any other needs we had to call Maui Banyan staff on the phone. There were a couple numbers given for different needs: one number for booking, another number for late check out. Staff I talked to on the phone were kind and helpful but this was an inconvenience. The location of the hotel is ideal. It's within walking distance to Kamaole Beach 2 which is the best of the three Kamaole beaches in my opinion because it was the least crowded. There is only street parking available for that beach so it's not as accessible. The room was clean, the kitchen was well equipped, the showers were hot, the AC was sufficient. The only issue I had were there were a couple times I wanted to enjoy the balcony but there were yard main trees working. The use of their equipment was very loud. Something a person couldn't sleep in through or nap through.
