The stay was good. Nice Breakfast, rooms not attached to pub. All good

What used to be the premier inn, the waterside keeps the same level of comfort and convenience to the pub next door and business park.

Friendly staff. Hotel is a little tired but ok for an overnight stop. With car park. Good food in the restaurant next door.

Room was clean, staff were friendly and there was a nice bar/restaurant on site. The only think that let it down was the mattress and shower

Very clean, though the property is looking a bit tired... a refresh would be good. Staff fine, though we didn't need to know the receptionist had just had a couple of ECGs when we checked in. Parking good, could do with some EV chargers. Breakfast staff excellent, as was the food.

Great stay here not far out off town centre but enough to be a lovely quiet place Pub is large with meals served and outdoor seating

Good location and the adjacent pub offered a good selection of food and drink. Relaxing place. The room has no A/C but does have a fan, which was sufficient. It’s fairly basic but good value for money and the staff are pleasant.

Pub next door is a major plus. Property appears to have formerly been a premier inn and is a little in need of a lick of paint but was comfortable. Room was quite hot but a fan was available

Shower/water pressure poor room furnishings quite tired (room 40) can’t comment on other rooms. Cleaned to a high standard…can only work with what they have. Staff exceptional, restaurant fantastic Overall value for money …would stay again

Hotel and rooms feel stale and in desperate need of an update, it would be unfair to say it wasn’t clean but it didn’t feel it, the bath has black mold and the shower had poor pressure.

The staff on reception were very helpful. The room had everything we needed but the bathroom could have been cleaner. I believe the hotel is due to be updated which it needs.

Staff was very friendly and helpful, room not so clean (crumbs under the pillos, sheets didn't smell clean, black mold in the shower).

Rooms are very tired, stayed here a while ago and it was nice. Now our room had a bathroom with mouldy black silicone around the bath, some which was peeling away. The tile grout was dirty and the plug was black from corrosion. The shower sprayed upwards as well from the bath where it was leaking from, water markls on the bathwoom ceiling. My wife would not have a bath due to the condition and cleanliness. The bed was however comfy and a good breakfast.

Dated, basic, no attention to detail with decor or fixings. Key hole loose. Bathroom needs a good clean and the room needs bringing up to date. Shabby and sad place to stay. You can hear every noise especially from the room upstairs above us

The hotel cleanliness was absolutely shocking. Both mine and my colleagues room had black mould in our bathrooms. I had long hairs stuck to the tiles by the previous occupier of the room. It's a shame as the bar and restaurant were actually nice, presented well and the food was good but the state of the room just completely ruins the whole stay.

Rooms are looking tired and in need of decoration, as dirty marks on the walls. Bed sheets had to be changed as they appeared to have mould speckles on. Housekeeping who changed bedding found the clean sheet had a dirty mark on it. Matress protector stained. Breakfast served in the pub across the road, which was plentiful and good. Rooms far too hot even with a fan going all day/night its a pity the windows dont open further but understand due to H& S not possible to have them opening wide perhaps investing in air con with the climare getting warmer. The passageway to rooms were very hot due to the lack of airflow. We would not stay in the hotel again but would use the pub again as the food was good value for money

Sheets and pillow cases all thread bear. Towels covered in yellow stains and very old. Shower disgusting and filthy. Won’t be back.

Pleasant stay but investment needed by Greene King. For a get your head down and leave, absolutely fine. Its very basic. Stayed 2 nights, family of 5. Kids happy with their makeshift beds. Adults happy with the kingsize bed. Comfortable and good nights sleep on both nights. Bathroom tiles had been painted over and was peeling off all over the place. Shower was coming off wall and toilet seat was stained under the seat. Carpet was dirty and probably needed a deep clean. (I have a dust allergy and we can tell how clean carpets are dependent on how tight my chest gets and how weezy i am). Breakfast was decent. Good hot and cold options available. Adele the waitress was excellent. Friendly and requests were no trouble. But again the pub itself looks tired. Requires a good lick of paint inside and out. Like i said it does the job for a basic no frills bed and breakfast but could definitely do with a freshen up.

Receptionist told us there had been a leak in one of the rooms and she had moved everyone but theres room for everybody, the room we were getting 15 was not in use that day and might not have cuos and coffee, no appology , very basic info. The room was ok, dated bit scruffy but the bathroom was shocking, black mould round bath & on the ceiling, plug overflow fallen off and dirty, door frame and skirtings dirty and cracked. On checkout there was no one to complain to . Not worth £90.

We had a great stay at Waterside. The room was a bit tired and dated but had the most comfy bed I have had the pleasure of sleeping in for a long time! We would have been lost without the fan provided though as the room was quite stuffy (ground floor with limited opening window) Breakfast was lovely, the portion size of the pancakes was too much for us to handle! Staff were all very friendly and helpful, but we were a bit disappointed that our room was not cleaned or freshened up at all during our three night stay. We didn’t bother raising this at the time, I’m sure if we did it would have been rectified.

Rooms clean enough but getting very tired and worn. No power near bedside. Shower over a bath not great, proper shower preferred by travellers. Beefeater esc eatery next door as expected. All in , better options out there for the money.

The only issue I had was the shower, it badly needed replacing. I only stayed for one night, I couldn't bring myself to use it.

The building and our room were both pretty basic, and had seen better days. A bit miserly with the coffee sachets and I hate having to open my suitcase on the floor. The shower (in a high-sided bath with no safety rails) was just a hand-held and the water pressure was a joke. We had to ask for a second towel … for a double room. At least it was a roof over our head.

Rooms in need of attention, carpets frayed, lack of sockets, mould round the bath, panels on bath and sink damaged. Just generally dated and neglected.

Had to stay over in Warrington at shortish notice, found this place and it looked nice plus the price was quite low, I wondered what the catch was, there wasn't one. It was fab all the staff were smiley and friendly ,the room was clean, the breakfast was great and it had parking! Really close to the centre of things too. Would recommend and stay here again.

Friendly, helpful staff, who went above and beyond. The room's radiator did not work; a portable one was provided in its place but it took a little longer to warm the room. The hotel's location is very hand for the centre.

Had to stay over in Warrington at shortish notice, found this place and it looked nice plus the price was quite low, I wondered what the catch was, there wasn't one. It was fab all the staff were smiley and friendly ,the room was clean, the breakfast was great and it had parking! Really close to the centre of things too. Would recommend and stay here again.

Local to to town centre easy access

Safe and reasonable for the price but corridors smell mouldy and bathroom needed a good spray with anti mould. In fact looked like someone was coming to do that as we checked out. Staff friendly and associated pub did a nice breakfast. Not really near anything to walk to but easy to drive from.

The hotel was really good all the staff were very helpful and professional. It was in a lovely location within a 15 minute walk from the train station and Parr hall, (the venue we were visiting). The pub dinner adjacent was very good, again with excellent staff and service. I would highly recommend it to anyone visiting Warrington.

I'd never stayed at waterside edge before but it was an inspired choice, it was an easy walk to bank quay train station and equally easy to walk to parr hall. My first impression was a good one and the reception lady was wonderfully friendly and helpful and we shared a good laugh together.First class.

Lovely warm welcome helpful from Reception, on booking in and departing. To be true the Staff are the best thing about the hotel they do you proud.The hotel itself needs a good decoration and fixtures fitting could be better. Cleanliness I think the staff they do the best they can with what they have to work with. Pub opposite lovely and again great staff and food was wonderful.

We arrived ahead of time & were weary from our 8hr ferry journey. The minute we walked through the door we were uplifted by the friendliness of the staff & the warm ambient mood of the restaurant. We were seated quickly & throughout the whole time received nothing but professional curtious service. Our food was exemplary. It arrived quickly and tasted amazing I had the rainbow salmon on a beautiful crisp salad & kids a chicken sharer meal followed by dessert. The following morning after our stay at the adjoining hotel we enjoyed a full on continental & cooked breakfast which was included in the price of the booking. Everything tasted perfect and the range available on the continental bar was all we could wish for. The outside of the restaurant is so beautiful too which we mostly missed the night before because it was dark. It would make a perfect setting for a wedding or any special event. You wouldn't believe you were in a busy town, its like it's in its own bubble of bliss. When ever we visit Ireland from now on this is where we will chose to stay. I recommend it to everyone. We are now seeking out our own local Green king restaurant because we were so impressed by Waterside.

Comfortable large room. Decor looking a bit aged now but perfectly acceptable. Massive plus was the bar and restaurant where we had a very good evening meal at reasonable cost and great service. Breakfast was average. We will use this hotel again
