The lobby bathrooms were in terrible need of attention, the hot tub jets didnt work and the water cleanliness looked questionable. The cloth blind in the room did not reach the window ledge and let too much light in. Overall....disappointing stay.

Very tiny rooms, nice amenities like restaurants and bar but the hot tub had dirt in it and all over the stairs into hot tub was dirty and brown. There were no jets in the hot tub. Just taking a hot bath was all it was. All in all wouldn’t stay here again.

Great service at the front desk, great food at Moxie's and Scoopz ice cream shop, short walk to downtown and the city's park. Was pleased they have underground parking and don't charge extra for parking.

Very nice hotel. Great room. Lots of noise from freight trains on city view side. Got a parking ticket even though I registered our vehicle at check-in. Had to go back to the front desk and dispute. They say it will be canceled, but was an unnecessary inconvenience.

Enjoyed our stay overall - great location with the park + downtown. 2 restaurants attached and close to many other restaurants. Decent gym. Hot tub drained the day we went to use it. Our room with a kitchen suite was good overall. Very limited kitchen items to use. Bathroom was very dark. Staff were okay however we should have utilized a full clean from housekeeping vs just a basic. Would stay here again because of the kitchen option and the location.

Likes: Service was quick and efficient. Clean rooms. All drains were clear (very frequent problem at all levels of hotels). Gym facility was good and pool area looked quite new and clean still. Bed and pillows were great. Suite kitchen had what was needed. Dislikes: No water bottles as water tasted a bit funny from the tap. Train noise was expected but still not pleasant (although sound proofing was better than I had expected). A TV stand would have been useful as I plugged in my laptop for work and had to use the ottoman; no plug ins near the TV either. Train traffic created very long waits just to get back to hotel or leave property. If you plan on lots of in and out, this may not be the place for you.

For a signature property, the room was in tough shape. Wallpaper falling off the wall in the bathroom, they painter the tile in the shower so had flakes of paint stick to my feet. And the icing on the cake was someone else's body hair on the wall of the shower before we used it

Hair in the bathtub and dirt and stains on the bedding. Did no good to ask the front desk, they said they were fully booked. Also took about 10 minutes for someone to come to the counter and check me in.

Room was nice and check in was easy. But weirdly the hallways were very cluttered with a few pizza boxes and an empty tonka truck box. These things were I. The hallway from the time we checked in until the time we left the next day. Also, hallway needed to be vacuumed.

It was disgustingly dirty. Garbage on the floors and in the stairwells. Bugs in the pool and the pool was dirty. No towels. Had to repeatedly ask for towels to be brought down. Staff weren’t friendly and no VIP treatment even though I qualified. Carpets were dirty and our room was filthy.

Large hotel in central Kamloops near the park. Unfortunately the room was warm but the aircon was very noisy to have on overnight so a restless night. The pool was ok but there were some local kids in there jumping in and running around, reported to staff and left as didn’t feel safe. The room smelt of sick, possibly from a previous resident and not cleaned properly, reported to hotel. Not a great stay, would stay somewhere else next time.

Very tiny rooms, nice amenities like restaurants and bar but the hot tub had dirt in it and all over the stairs into hot tub was dirty and brown. There were no jets in the hot tub. Just taking a hot bath was all it was. All in all wouldn’t stay here again.

We booked a city view room, unbeknown to us that it’s right beside a railway line! Trains run all night. They do provide a white noise machine to try to eliminate the noise from the trains but the white noise is also hard to listen too! Air conditioning unit very noisy so if u keep it on, you won’t hear the trains😂😂

What a lovely surprise this hotel was I wasn’t expecting it to be so beautiful. The location is awesome. If you’re going to some of the restaurants in the downtown Quarter because you can walk. Lovely views from the rooms even the part that doesn’t look at the river. The staff were very accommodating. The parking was underground and didn’t have to pay me like that. The room we received was a one bedroom separate from the living room and the little kitchen and that room holy was it ever beautiful and perfectly set up for our family. With the Jack and Jill bathroom I would definitely stay here again. In fact I kinda wanna go now.

Tried to check in at 3pm but lineup of 6 people and only one person behind the counter. Hotel is tired and filthy, needs major do over. Wanted to spend some quiet time in the hot tub and pool area but there were 30-35 unruly kids that took over the space. Will be cancelling our time booked in December here.

Overall we loved our stay at the Sandman Signature in Kamloops. The front desk staff was great, room was very clean, location was walkable to the river and downtown which we loved and the train wasn’t disruptive to our sleep (which was surprising considering how close it is). The dining options weren’t for us, but that wasn’t a deal breaker. Will definitely stay again!

Got to room had to wait after regular check in time to get in. Hall ways were dirty. Ordered room service and didn’t get it went in and the order was never taken down. Put to have room Cleaned and never got cleaned. Horrible pillows bad sleep train shakes the building every time you stay there even if your on the opposite side. Looks nice but not the greatest stays

We thought it was ok. After we came back from the pool we accidentally went to the wrong floor walking up the stairs and our key card opened up another suite on another floor. We first thought we turned the lights off in our suite because we left the lights on in ours and that’s when we realized we had walked into the wrong suite! When we went back up to our floor we used our card on another room just to see and it opened that room too. We went back to our room and locked all the doors and thought we just have been given some sort of master key. Not very safe and kind of dangerous if we were not honest people. We have never had that happen anywhere we have ever stayed and we stay in a lot of hotels.

At check in it wasn't explained to me the housekeeping policy, I was there was four days and my room never got cleaned. I saw the housekeeping staff working on the floor and on the second day, asked them for fresh towels which they were very friendly and compliant about. Should I have booked housekeeping to do the room when I checked in? The other problem was that two out of the four days I stayed there, the fire alarms went off, first time at 1:30 am and we all evacuated (I was on the fifth floor) and second time on my last day at 5:40 AM (fortunately they stopped before I had to get up and get dressed and evacuated). In both cases, they were something to do with the nightclub or restaurant but in both instances they seriously disturbed my sleep. The big problem about not having my room done was that I never got the coffee cream etc supplies replenished. I also think you should provide bottled water either at a cost or for free in the rooms. The air conditioner was noisy but I didn't really need it because it was October. The staff all looked like mainly international students but not what I would call seasoned or experienced in hospitality management. However I did find the front staff very friendly and they really tried to be helpful.

I would give 5 stars if only 1 staff is friendly and welcoming when we checked in. Definitely needs more training how to great the guest nicely or maybe she's choosing who to treat nicely. The staff who checked us out was very nice and friendly.

The staff were friendly and helpful The room was clean There is a constant flow of trains coming and going at the back where we were located My main concern was the active drug use on the streets it didn’t feel safe coming and going for walks alone around the area. Hotel is great. Only issue is the train tracks directly in front of the hotel entrance. I got stuck for 20 minutes getting to the hotel to check in, and when I left 10 minutes later yet another train blocked me for 17 minutes. This was very inconvenient.

Food options are good. Bed was comfortable, room was clean and smelled clean. However the fan in the bathroom sounded like it had no bearings left in it. The towel hanger was ready to fall of the wall. And the sink plug didn’t work, we had to take it out so the water would drain. The baseboard by the shower was missing paint and swollen. Other than that it was a great location, and perfect for what we needed.

I’ve stayed in a lot of Sandman hotels and have always been happy with staff, service, and cleanliness of the rooms. This location is outstanding and the amenities are first class. Great restaurants and downtown right at the door!

Room was comfortable, however breakfast experience was poor. You eat in the lobby area (right in front of the door) and when there is more than 4 people up to get food it is too crowded and you are bumping into each other. The most annoying part was that a staff member serves you the “hot” breakfast. She gave everyone 1 scoop of home fries (literally 10-15 pieces) and 1 sausage. If you ask for a second or third, she reacted poorly, like you were taking her food. Lastly, they give you what most people would consider to be a beer ticket (or 50/50 draw ticket from a hockey game) to put on your dash to validate your parking. Not to mention that it is red and difficult to see when on your dash at night. These are minor things, but not what I expected from this hotel chain.

So many good aspects, especially the service. Let down by rather inadequately equipped kitchen. Surprising really as everything else was so good. Just a few more eating utensils and crockery
