Busy pub. Room was clean with a comfy King bed, good double shower and plenty of complimentary toiletries. There was tea, coffee and biscuits in the room and plenty of room to store our luggage. Only drawback was that there’s no parking on the premises. There’s street parking or pay and display. This is really misleading as the online description for this Pub states “parking available.” We queried this with staff at the premises and they were apologetic, stating that they had contacted Hotels.com about their description (“parking available “ - as it gives the impression that there’s parking available for guests on the premises) but that Hotels.com had refused to amend it. They went on to say that they had been challenged about this misleading information by numerous customers, and had made efforts change it, but that Hotels.com had refused to change the description. As such, we had to search for parking on a very busy Saturday evening; something we could have really done without.

Advertised as parking available, there isnt any and the staff know and dont care that its advertised as available. Had to park in a council car park with 4 hours max stay. If you have a car stay somewhere else.

Very comfortable room at a good price - with tea, coffee, water and biscuits provided. The toilet and shower were well equiped with toiletries and towels. Good pub food in the bar/restaurant - though busy on the Saturday evening. Recommended - I'll be back!

The 2 days I spent there was just about perfect . Only problem for me was no car parking to the pub . The nearby car park you could pay for 2/3/4 hours the maximum being 4 hours . Free parking over night until 8,00am . So if you don’t need your car for example until 11,00am. You need to get to the car park meter at 8,00am to purchase a ticket . Not the best situation if you fancy a lay in 😀 The total accommodation was 100%

A pleasant stay. Staff very friendly. Very clean and spacious room. Bottled water and plenty of condiments in the room. Located Central but hard to find 24 hr parking Drove around in circles trying to find somewhere. Did ring the hotel and was told there was parking around the corner so would be good if there was recommended parking given.

Easy to find and very welcoming. The room was spacious and clean, the shower cubicle was a good size with good water pressure. I appreciated the room being cleaned daily but didn't understand why the half used complimentary shower gel was replaced when it could have been used the next day.

The noise from the bar below was unacceptable. The loud level of music, and the fire door banging went on until 2:00am in the morning. I would highly advise not to book this hotel if you are a light sleeper. I did report this to the management but they didn’t seem bother about the complaint or feedback.

Accommodation is OK in town centre, although parking can be difficult nearby, but most unpleasant aspect was NOT having an ensuite bathroom for the single room, only a supposedly sole use bathroom across the communal hallway which was sadly NOT locked on arrival ... this should have been highlighted in the room advertisement and it is also misleading that the hotel website states that all rooms are ensuite, which is false.

Staff at check in was awesome. Accommodating and kind. However although wifi was an amenity, wifi NEVER worked during our two day stay and staff was unwilling to acknowledge the problem or offer a solution. That made use of cell phone as an international traveler an issue. Rooms were fine - just internet as part of the facility offering is behind my less than 5 star rating. It was a disappointment with the booking.

It’s a pub, clean enough, everything worked, generous with tea and biscuits, good position about 10 minute walk from rail station, three from bus and express service bus stops outside. No fridge, microwave, safe etc but it’s a budget stop. Biggest drawback basically no internet, I ate out to pick up my messages etc at local cafes.

We had a good stay. ▪︎Bed was very comfortable, clean and big with lovely fluffy pillows ▪︎good coffee and tea facility in the room ▪︎Nice large fluffy towels ▪︎ friendly housemaids ▪︎very central ▪︎warm room Only downsides were ▪︎it was very noisy at the front with drop offs and pick ups right outside although there was double glazing on the windows besides the original windows and there was a fan in the room so this definitely helped ▪︎ The bar was very expensive so we only had 2 drinks the whole weekend there ▪︎ only1 coat hanger on the clothes rail Overall i would mark it 8/10 and would stay here again.

Would definitely recommend the Rose and Crown as a place to stay in Carmarthen. The staff were cheerful and helpful, there's an extensive food menu served between 12 and 9pm. The breakfasts are to die for with local produce and veggie options.

On checking in we were told that "we open normal pub hours. If you return outside them ring the door bell and someone will let you in". We returned at just after 10.30 to find the pub closed. Rang the bell numerous times, but got no response. My wife continued to try the door while I sought help - and possibly an emergency room for the night - from the pub just down the road. They got no response on the 'phone, but while they were thinking of other options my wife 'phoned to say someone had finally opened the door to the Rose & Crown. This some 10-15 minutes after our return. When I got back the door opener muttered an apology and said "the doorbell must be broken". He asked for our room number and I anticipated a more fullsome apology or perhaps the offer of a free breakfast the next morning. However on checking out - when as on check-in, the reception was lukewarm at best - no mention was made of the incident. Had it not been for this I probably wouldn't have posted a review at all, a fairly average stay with no highlights or (other) lowlights.

Convenient location but without parking. Entrance to room in busiest part of pub not ideal. Loud music until very late that we could hear in the room. Room itself large and spacious and clean. Comfortable bed and pillows. Every convenience thought of. Average condition of furniture and decor.

The property was nicely decorated, well organised and clean. We were very impressed with the quality of food offerings, especially the evening meals. Slight inconvenience having to put a ticket on the car at 8am in the morning but it was quite close. Staff were helpful and pleasant.
