Beautiful hotel, pool and hottub area is very inviting. Staff was awesome. Breakfast was delicious and stayed stocked. Coffee in the lobby. The parking lot was well lit and in the mornings it has a few deer walking around. We loved our stay here.

I highly recommend, we could visit shops, play arcade games and have dinner, all within walking distance. Great pool and hot tub. Customer service was exceptional.

Our stay was difficult, the hotel has a moisture problem on their first floor, the lobby doesn't smell bad but the hall and rooms do. They also have a major moisture problem, it was so bad it curled the books we had in our room and clothes and blankets felt damp after being in the room, if you have allergies this isn't the ideal place for you. The hotel is very dated, the light bulbs didn't match, the sheets were old and stretched out so the fitted sheet would come off of the bed easily. The room was as clean as it could be with how old everything was and the shower pressure was good. The staff was friendly and the breakfast was good. The area to the left of the hotel where you can park your cars is questionable, it is right next to a decapitated trailer park which didn't give us a good feeling; however, the right side of the hotel was friendlier feeling next to a facility being renovated and the hotel is very walk-able to stores and restaurants. We almost left early but there was a large event and there were no other hotels available.

When we first arrived late in the evening, there was an odor in the lobby that threw us off.... it was odd and we couldn't quite put our fingers on it. Maybe old smelling. However, when we got to our room, we were pleasantly surprised. It was very clean, smelled good, the furnishings were adequate and the shower was incredibly powerful and hot. The hotel needs an overall update, but we were 2 miles from Mount Rushmore! And right in the cute little town of Keystone. We slept very comfortably and had a quiet night.

The front desk was very friendly. The maid service needs improvement. My mirror and floor in the bathroom had small blood drops from previous guests. I requested maid service which they clean but did not vacuum. I found sprinkles on the carpet from the previous guests. The parking was terrible.

Our 4 night stay was excellent. Our room was clean, spacious, and quiet. Breakfast was OK, usually eggs, bacon, biscuits and gravy, bagels, English muffins, cold cereals, waffles, etc. The hotel is within a short walk (less than 5 minutes) to several restaurants, shopping and the 1880 train depot. Very safe walk, very well lit. Mt Rushmore was less than a 10 minute drive. The Comfort Inn was the perfect location for exploring several of the attractions in the area. We would definitely stay here again!

Nice hotel, great location, walkable to Keystone shops and restaurants. Close to Mt Rushmore and overall close to hiking. Room was good - only complaint is that the AC is very weak - had to have windows open and it was in the low 70s and 50s at night…not sure how this hotel till address the AC issue.

Staff was awesome and attentive. Really kind people to greet you and help you. Breakfast was pretty expected for what was available. Waffles, eggs, yogurt, breads, cereal, etc. lobby was a taxidermist's fantasy, in a good way. Really cool lobby and carport when you pull in. Not much for views from our room, but it was a place to sleep that was comfortable, really close to Mt. Rushmore, clean, good fuel to start the engines for the day on a long road trip. One night stop and would stay here if we make it back there again.

We had a great stay at the Comfort Inn in Keystone. We are staying off season and found many hotels are closed until May 2024. Comfort Inn was open, even their inside pool and hot tub! The hotel is great - decorated so well, clean, quiet and welcoming staff at check in desk. Our room was a 2 queen and very comfortable and good sleep. Breakfast in the morning was delicious - - there was quite a variety (hot & cold cereal, waffles, eggs, bacon, biscuits & gravy, juices, etc) The prices were great and would definitely recommend this hotel!!

This was a beautiful property and very convenient to Mt.Rushmore. Guy at the desk was very helpful with local information. We visited in the offseason (early December), so almost everything in Keystone was shut down, but they had a great offseason rate! looked nice

Clean hotel. Short drive to Mount Rushmore. In the offseason, there are no restaurants open anywhere around the hotel, nor is there available hotel food service. Either you bring some food or the closest restaurant is about a 10 minute drive. Other than that, the hotel was a nice stay. Pool was awesome for the kids.

We had asked for a play pen for our toddler and we were brought a janky metal crib that had what appeared to be dead bugs on the crib sheets. We returned the crib right away. We were only there for 1 night and for breakfast in the morning my family and I showed up for breakfast 1 hr before it was over and they were out of waffle mix, I asked one of the ladies that was working the kitchen if we could have some more made and they refused and instead scraped the container to make half a waffle. There were 3 other families with kids that came down after us and had looked for waffles but no batter was ever made again. Plus their kitchen staff were on their phones and napping at one of the tables because somehow they didn't see the other families that came down.
