Guest reviews of Fabulous Chalet Inn

What guests think

AI-generated summary based on recent guest reviews

Chalet Inn draws guests with sweeping mountain and town views and a quiet, walkable hillside setting, though the steep approach and offsite check in at the Econo Lodge make arrival and getting around less convenient for some.

The room was large and clean. There was a refrigerator and a microwave. The swimming pool was never crowded. The pool actually had a nice view of the space needle, and the mountains. It was very quiet. Just be aware that it is on a hill. If you plan on walking to the downtown area, then you will have to walk back up that hill. As far as furniture, there was an old couch and a coffee table that were showing some age. The room appeared to have fairly new flooring. There was a boarded up fireplace, but it was hidden by the old coffee table. It didn’t look that bad with the curtains pulled the room was very dark. If you need dark rooms for sleeping this one is dark. I felt like I was in a cave and I slept very well. I didn’t use them so it didn’t matter to me. There was a continental breakfast offered. I did not use it so I cannot say whether it was good or bad. If you have bad knees, be aware that there are steps to climb and no elevator. For the price point, I was satisfied with my stay. I could have found a newer hotel, but it would have cost a lot more.

Stayed in room 235, great view, clean room, excellent service. This is now my favorite Motel in Gatlinburg. I will stay here again and recommend it to everyone. Seen bears 3 times.

Staff were very hospitable & helpful, however the property is very outdated & has few amenities. An economy hotel that is fine if you need to stay on a budget, especially if you are making a last-minute trip.

Comfy clean bed. Location walkable to the strip. Lauren was super friendly. Hot water. Clean towels. Great view of the space needle. Older hotel but lots of character. Upstairs in building one was very warm outside the room.
