Recently refurbished hotel. Very nice bar the old windows which are not sound proof. Hotel were very good and moved us upon request due to traffic noise (as windows so poor). Staff throughout were brilliant. Would stay again.

A very brief stay enroute to Europe. Great location for this type of trip. Staff were welcoming and friendly. Bar and restaurant area looked nice although we didnt use it. Room was spacious and adequate for a family of 4. Slight drain smell in room but we put up with it for one night. Rom was quiet.

We arrived very late, but still the service was friendly, fast and efficient. Plenty of parking and the area was very quiet, it felt safe leaving a car there. Breakfast was good and well staffed. Plenty of choice, all fresh. Nice and clean dining area. It wasn't far to the Channel Tunnel either, so overall quite convenient. We'll certainly be back.

Check in was very easy, staff on desk polite and nothing too much trouble. Room spotless and comfy. Good facilities, shower, tea and coffee etc. Breakfasts were very good with a decent choiceof food. Checknout was as easy as checking in. Would use again and definitely recommend.

Nothing particularly unique about the property itself, but it is very very clean, and the staff cant do enough to help! They offer help before you ask for it and they all seem to enjoy their jobs, and get along with eachother whilst doing it. Someone is doing something right here!

As always staff and service excellent, however we had poor WiFi reception in our room this time but there was renovation works being carried out on other floors which may have effected the signal.. Cooked breakfast is always tasty and well served! Overall we enjoyed our stay and hope to return soon :)

Great stay! Family room was very large, with 2 single beds for kids tucked away in alcove. Slept well in comfy beds. Dinner in restaurant was pleasant and breakfast had good variety- sausages were very good! All staff very friendly.

First time I have written a negative review. Got downgraded to a room with a single bed because my original double bed room had faulty air conditioning (on the hottest day of the year so far) - room condition clearly was not checked before check-in. Total lack of communication afterwards - said they would call an engineer but did not give me any updates all night whether I could move back into my double room once the problem is fixed. The only call I had was to ask for the original room key back, and they asked me to go back down myself to reception from my hotel room to hand the key back asap, it felt rather insulting! Did not sleep well at all due to room having a single bed rather than a double bed (which is what I booked and paid for). Was not looking for big perks - but they did not offer any compensation or goodwill gesture at all for my poor experience. They only offered to ‘register me as an IHG member’ upon checkout - which would have been free for me to do online anyway! Awful customer service experience overall and an uncomfortable stay. Will not use again.

This was a good stay, greeting by reception staff was great. I was in room 4, which was spacious, bed comfortable, ensuite good size, desk to work at. The only downside in the room was there was no ceiling light and the glazing was single, so got some road noise. I also ate in the restaurant in the evening and the food was pleasant, not a huge menu.

Guys, I promise you, never slept on a better mattress in a hotel. We spent a night only and our room was spacious with a large desk. We had also breakfast and the staff was really friendly. As we travel to the uk quite often, we will most probably go back!

i booked a Double Room on Hotels.com. But at check-in was given a Twin Room. Receptionist told me that they only received a 'Standard Room' booking from hotels.com. No upgrade or discount offered, seems like a regular issue that no-one is dealing with. The room was at the front of the hotel, so we had continuous noise from the motorway. Double glazing not very effective. Otherwise hotel seemed ok, convivial seating/bar area.

Very nice roadside hotel with large room amd very comfortable bed. Breakfast was excellent. Dinner was spotty. The ale and meat pie had a crust like cardboard. The fish and chips very excellent.
