Lobby AC not working, pool closed, other inconveniences due to start of refurbishment. LOTS of Tesla & other chargers in parking lot.

Hair and dead insects on floor in bathroom. Pool down for maintenance during entire stay. Air conditioning out of order in lobby area. Ice machine inoperable on 4th floor.

Upon arrival AC was not working in lobby or any hallways. They had box fans plugged in the wall. Very warm! Pool was not working. 1/3 full of water. Change machine broken. Men's restroom urinal out of order. No detergent available in guest laundary.

Air wasn’t working in room, pool and workout room was not accessible for 2 days

ice machines on floors 2 and 3 were broke. No a/c in lobby and breakfast area. Carpets need to be professional cleaned; so many stains in room and breakfast area. Room smelled really bad. A/C in room did not take the humidity out of the room but did cool the room. This hotel is not up to the standards of what a Wyndham Wingate hotel should be. Hotel needs an extensive redo.

Swimming pool was not usuable, no ice machines,room chairs and other pieces needed to be replaced. The employees that I came in contact with were nice and efficient. The inside of the building and the parking area in much need of repair to bring them up to a good standard for a nice motel. I know new owners just took over.

Comfortable bed, quiet, clean, friendly staff. The pool was not opened.

Dirty everywhere. Pool closed. All my room outlets should be replaced, plugs fall out and could cause a fire. Lacks proper maintenance.

We paid $96 in Ashland, OH for 1 night. We were just passing thru. Rooms smelled like Body oder. Not sure if the sheets and blankets were even clean. Previous guess dirty wash clothes hanging off shower rod. The carpet was all stained. Just disgusting.

The air conditioning was broken in the public areas so they had the front doors open with a bunch of fans. The carpet in our room has a huge stain in it that we chose to step over all the time. The breakfast was absolutely horrible and there was dust and dirt everywhere. Will never stay here again.

Weird experience checking in - front desk person kept going aback and forth between 2 computers. It seemed like he was falling asleep in front of each computer… he’d do a little work, his eyes/head would close/nod down…. Hotel needs some clean up/sprucing up for the room rate. Dirty carpet, worn furniture, cracked tub.

The property was not as clean as we would have preferred. Breakfastwas nice.

Staff very friendly. Furniture, bed and carpet in room torn, stained and room not clean. Not at all up to Wyndham standards! Room should be $50: night not $143! Very unsatisfied. Trash on floor in bathroom. Was room cleaned)? Will be contacting Wyndham Corp for refund request. Have pictures if they want to see them!

The carpet was stained, the desk under the glass was filthy. The area under the refrigerator was warped from water.

Building was very outdated and didn’t look good. I went into the bathroom and it smelled musty, realized the bath faucet was slow dripping and the drain plug was plugged. Then I saw a yellow tinted pill laying on the bathroom floor so obviously wasn’t cleaned very. Had this been a room rented by a family that had a small child and swallowed that pill things could have been a lot worse. I won’t be back to this location!

When we checked in the lady at the front desk was very friendly. It was very warm in the lobby area and they had isolating fans all over, the carpet was very warn. Also the pool was closed. Don't know the reason it was closed, but they were still waiting on the health inspector to come and inspect the pool so they could open it back up. Our first room assigned was filthy. It was very dusty and the desk was sticky. Don't think the cleaning crew wiped anything down. The carpet had several stains and we noticed a molding area in the ceiling corner. The bathroom floor was also filthy. You could tell it had not been swept or mopped. There was hair behind the door and around the toilet area. We complained and give a different room. The second room was no better. There was dust on the microwave and counters. The bathroom floor was dirty also. We also found a pair of mens underwear next to the bed. The bed skirt was half way on. Our final straw was finding a pair of mens underwear on the floor next to the bed. We complained again and was given a refund. We DO NOT recommend Wingate Hotel in Ashland, Ohio!

Did not use the gym or breakfast bar. Room was dirty, stained carpet, water stained lamp shade, lamps missing from night stand and desk.

It was very disappointing especially for the price. Very dirty in the elevators hallways inch thick from the wall of dust and pet hair on the carpet. Pet hair embedded on the carpets in the room chairs and. Microwave so old it’s white with turn knobs. Outdated is one thing just dirty.

This hotel was incredibly outdated. The headboard was leather but had tears and areas that were worn away. The blinds had numerous holes in them. The room appeared dark due to lack of adequate lighting and the carpet needed replaced badly. The bathroom was slightly better. The lobby also needed repair and at the time of our visit the air conditioning in the lobby, halls and elevators was not working. The price was the same as an average hotel, so we didn’t even save money by choosing to stay here. The only reason we chose this hotel is because other local hotels were full. I would not stay again.

Bed was very comfortable. It was a bit noisy- the shower above us was really loud! It could use some updating but was what we needed at the time.

Very affordable & comfortable hotel. But the ottoman in my room desperately needs to be replaced. The entire top of it is missing, as in shredded, peeling vinyl. It looks terrible. The bed/pillows/ bedding are great, though

Elevator carpet dirty and smells musty. Water kept shutting off in shower the first morning. Parking lot in need of repairs.

Hotel is very dated. Our carpet was stained. The furniture looked original and was scuffed. Desk chair was worn. The windows and mirrors were dirty. The towels were new and looked clean. The only thing that was updated was the shower and electric car charging stations.

Heating in room was not working so had to move to another room. Personnel were very good about that. Ice machine on our floor was not working. Surprised had to return to first floor for vending.. Coffee was cold. At breakfast it was hot as was most of the breakfast.

Hotel needs updating and the A/C in our room did not work....

AC did not work properly in our room. The AC in the hotel did not work, had windows open and fans everywhere. The furniture in our room and another couple we were with was torn up.

The room was spacious and clean; beds comfortable. Unable to use shower because there was only hot water - no way of cooling it off; toilet would not flush.

It was clean. I also left some things behind and they notified me promptly so I was able to retrieve them. My bathroom sink stopper was inoperable. I notified the front desk and found a note from maintenance that the stopper was broken and it had to be removed. “Sorry”. The front desk informed me that they did not a replacement part. I suggested that Home Depot was right across the street. During my three day stay, it was never replaced. The complimentary breakfast was fair at best. Open from 6:30-8:30, I was surprised that for guests coming in at 8:00, hot items were not replaced after running out so they were not available for late diners. The facility is very outdated, especially the room furniture. Scratched and in bad repair. I inquired about a lack of a desk chair for the desk and the reply was that all of the chairs were in poor condition so took them out of the rooms : problem solved. I intentionally selected a more expensive hotel, thinking that it would be an upgrade from previous stays at lower cost facilities on previous visits. I was mistaken. My overall opinion was that I was underwhelmed. For a $125 per night, one would rightfully be disappointed. Ashland is a thriving community, visitors should be able to expect accommodations equal to the town’s vitality.

Was really impressed with the king suite I booked last year so I had booked the same suite for this year but was extremely disappointed when I was given a regular room. I feel like I overpaid for the room we received. Will be booking across the street for next year's event.

No service was provided. Went a week and emptied my own trash can.

The room I reserved was not available when we checked in, I reserved a king bed room with a sofa bed. The room they gave us was only a king. No sofa bed. They did not have any other rooms for 3. They did offer to give us another room in addition to the one we had but it was in another floor. That was insane, we were traveling as a family. Why would we want to be in 2 rooms on separate floors?! We had to go to Walmart and buy an air mattress for my daughter. We asked for additional sheets, pillows and blankets and the guy at the desk seemed annoyed that I was asking. Let’s not forget that the air conditioner was not working. It was set to 60, but it felt like a sauna.

The manager who checked us in was very helpful and friendly. She reduced our rate since it had decreased after I booked the room.

We were running late and Johnny the night manager was amazing he greeted us with a smile was very informative and knowledgeable this is one of the best check in we have ever encountered Johnny went above and beyond to make sure we felt welcome

It was convenient but our rom wasn’t cleaned in the two days there, which the issue was just emptying garbage and fresh towels. When we asked for towels at the desk we got the story of short staff. We were ok with just a “I’m sorry “ and fresh towels. But I came away from that conversation unhappy…also we did th online check in on arrival thinking we would get our keys and go to our room at 3:30 …we had to wait in line for 20 minutes to be told our room wasn’t ready. The room was clean enough and the bed was good but definitely needs to be updated. Carpet stained the faux leather was peeling off head board and other furniture.has gone down hill since last time we stayed there. Breakfast was ok but when staff is eating the last of stuff while your in line, it’s noticeable.

When I arrived it was midnight, there were some sketchy people in the parking lot. I felt unsafe. I checked in and immediately told the staff on duty, I believe his name was Johnny. He was very nice and immediately called the police. The police came and handled the situation. It was great that your staff took my concern seriously and acted upon it.

Sammy, at the desk (on 1/23, was very friendly and super helpful She should be commended on her fantastic attitude and superb customer and the young an at the desk the next morning was very helpful as well; as well as the older lady who was working the eating area, the very same, great customer service from all of these people

Quick and easy check in. Clean room with decent amenities, close to shopping and food.

We were in town overnight for an event at Ashland College. It was easy and quick to check in our room was clean and comfortable and we were on our way the next day.

Hotel is accessible to freeways and many amenities.

The property is easy to find, with plenty of parking. The area is quiet, and local to several shopping centers.

This is a pretty average hotel and below Wyndham standards for amenities. A little overpriced for what it is. It needs some updating - peeling wallpaper, aging furnishings... Staff were nice and helpful, location is about ten minutes from Ashland University.

We needed a place for one night on the southwest side of Ashland. This fit our needs perfectly.

We enjoyed our stay, for the first part. The room was clean and the beds were comfortable. However, we changed rooms for the next few nights and the bed was not comfortable. Also, there was no coffee machine in the room, and no safe. The 3 mornings that Lori was taking care of serving breakfast were great. She served different hot breakfasts every day with a smile and a warm welcome.

The sink hot water was backwards, there were spiders behind the door. When we arrived she was not very pleasant, though she did drop the attitude as we filled out our paperwork. Theron. Was most.y. Lean but definitely in need of updates. The best thing they had going was breakfast. She was awesome and the breakfast was very good!

No hot water. Poor breakfast. Waffles in a baggy would not pass health department standards. This facility shows lots of signs of ware.

Someone either next to me or above me blared the volume on the TV in their room until 3am. The hottest the shower got was lukewarm. At 8am the Continental Breakfast was bare with little food left. Thankfully there is a Tim Hortons down the road.
