This is quite a "quirky" hotel. I love it because it is "old-fashioned". Huge rooms, with a huge bath, and huge bed. Just very comfortable. Don't stay here if you want some kind of "cookie-cutter", modern plastic thing.

Hans was a great host. The room was very well made up and the breakfast was superb as always! I've stayed here before and I would recommend it for anyone doing the NC500.

We chose the Bridge Hotel as a stopover on our way to the ferry at Scrabster. The hotel is in a lovely period building just opposite the old bridge/river. We were greeted by a roaring real fire in the characterful entrance/lounge. It has a grand feel with lots of interesting cabinets /curios and prints on the walls. Our 2nd floor room was spacious with good views to the hillside. The was plenty of choice in the breakfast room next morning. A perfect stopover...
