We had a great stay in a two bedroom and two bathroom suite. The location is great for walking everywhere in Madrid - there is sometimes a bit of noise from the road but it didn't disturb our sleep. We used the sofa bed in the living room so we missed having somewhere to sit, there was a table but a bigger seating area would have been great. The pool is a great bonus, it was busy one of the days and not much room to sit and relax by the pool but the bar is a good option too. I would definitely recommend this hotel and would stay again when visiting Madrid.

EXCELLENT!!!! Great location. Close to the metro, restaurants. Hotel was fantastic. There was a fridge, freezer, stovetop, oven, dishwasher, washing machine, utensils and detergent. Every room has a patio. Rooftop pool and restaurant. Very clean. Friendly staff. This hotel made our trip to Madrid so much more enjoyable. 5 stars

The room is clean but outdated. There is minimal noise from outside. There is a rooftop bar but we cannot access it because it’s reserved for private party every night that we are there. We have to go to the hotel next to it for rooftop bar for the view.

Roof top pool was great. Can sit in the warm water and look across the city. It was open during our visit at end of May when other hotel pools were still closed despite the warm weather. Good location: near shops, restaurants and tourist points of interest. Beds comfortable. Breakfast was filling with many good options.

We stayed in the Smart Suite and loved having our own patio with huge tub. The living area was way larger than the pictures showed with a kitchen, table, and plenty of room even with the couch pulled out for our kids. Great breakfast. Nice rooftop pool and bar area. Walkable to so much in Madrid.

The pool is only open from 10am - 7pm in the summer when it's 90degrees, it should definitely be kept open until sundown and have more lounge chairs. Also, I never saw the rooftop bar open, nor could you order food service up there.

The hotel is cool looking but the rooms were not very clean. Hallways weren’t very clean. The staff at front desk were amazing and super friendly/helpful. The beds were cheap and not comfy. The windows were not helpful with blocking out sound, you could hear conversations outside very clearly, ALL NIGHT LONG. If someone moved something on the floor above it was very very loud. The sky bar isn’t open to the public during the week. Only Thurs-sun. Bathroom was quite small and not easy to fit in, no counter space. Not enough towel holders for a room that sleeps 6.

Aunque solo estuvimos dos noches, fue una gran estancia, el apartamento con dos habitaciones y un baño, es más espacioso que lo que uno se imagina. Muy bien cuidado, limpio y con camas muy confortables. El staff del hotel fue muy agradable y colaborador. Totalmente recomendado.

My stay at this place was great overall. The staff was friendly, and the facilities were clean and well-maintained. However, one downside was the noise. I could hear sounds from other rooms, and the housekeeping staff made a lot of noise in the early morning, moving furniture and cleaning. It was a bit disruptive for a restful stay. Other than that, everything else was excellent!

Property has everything we needed. Very nice setup, clean, safe. Could be a little noisy from the street at night but you cannot beat the location and amenities. Overall very pleasant stay. We didn’t end up going to the pool so I cannot comment on that.

fabulous location in central Madrid on a gorgeous street in steps to restaurants, shops, and the metro. The staff was very helpful and friendly. The bedrooms were small but clean and beds were comfortable. Rooms with a balcony were loud at night bc the street was busy but we got used to it.

I didn't realize until we got there that was actually a (small) 1-bedroom apartment with a full, small kitchen (I thought it was a junior suite when I booked it)! I would definitely stay at a SmartRental again, for a longer stay next time!

I stayed at SmartRental Gran Vía with my adult daughter and teen son, and we had a great experience. The location is right on the main Gran Vía, so you're in the heart of all the hustle and bustle—perfect for exploring Madrid. The room was spacious and well-equipped with a stove, microwave, and refrigerator, which made our stay even more convenient. We arrived on a lively Friday night, and the energy of the area was infectious. It’s about a 15–20 minute walk to most of the major attractions and shopping areas, including stores like Primark, Zara, and many others. There are also lots of great restaurants nearby—our favourite was Honest Greens, just around the corner. One of the highlights was the rooftop terrace. In the evenings, we could relax by the pool and take in the stunning panoramic views of Madrid—such a nice way to end the day. Highly recommend for families or anyone wanting to be in the center of it all!

Pros-The location is perfect, walkable distance to restaurants, shopping, parks, museums. Clean and friendly staff. Cons- Noise, traffic, police sirens all night long. Upstairs guest was pulling furniture during our stay, we can clearly hear it in our room. TV didn’t work, WiFi was not working, neither was the room phone. We reported to front desk and they said there was a general problem in the building, unresolved for many days. Our shower pan got clogged once or twice during our stay. Nobody came to assist.

Great location! So close to all the major sites- Prado, Palicio Real, Parque Retiro! Nice size apartment. Lots of room to spread out. Only draw back was the bathroom was a little small and the shower leaked a bit. Beds were very comfy. Nice to have a kitchen for breakfast purposes. Would definitely recommend and stay here again!

This property has a lot of good going for it; more attention to detail would net an easy rating of excellent - our experience fell short. The least important of which are the VIP Marketing failures - although the front desk acknowledged the free wine, it took nearly two days to appear; and, the upgrade was never offered. These are side bar distractions. The one thing a hotel should never do is blame their guests for room issues - get your proverbial house in order. Television, Telephone, and Room Safe not functional as well as Shower Drain slow creating some minor flooding. Now, we didn’t come to Madrid to watch television - though local news is helpful. The Hotel home page screen was dated January 2018. If we had to call the front desk or need room service the room phone was out of order. The room safe error coded with each attempt to use. The shower drain would flood then drain then flood again. These issues took 2 days to be resolved. The location is outstanding - transportation at the door step, walkable distances to attractions, dining and shopping. The Gran Via is noisy though - Police, Fire and EMS are kept busy and this is the main route - a reality of city life.

Amazing hotel in a very convenient location on Gran Vía. The room was modern, spacious, and clean. Good breakfast exactly what you need. Although the hotel looks modern, the TV in the room did not work and the room decor was awful and cheap looking. We had requested a quiet room months in advance but were placed on the second floor and heard trucks and people outside our window all night. Worse is that the staff was not professional or helpful. They refused to move us to a room with a working TV which I needed for my job to stay up on the news or to a quieter room. We will never stay there again.

O hotel é muito bem localizado, bem no meio da Gran Via, e isso foi ótimo. O quarto era bem confortável e a questão da cozinha foi muito útil. O hotel tem um rooftop que festas ou eventos aconteceram alguns dias, o que não foi muito confortável na hora de dormir, pelo barulho sendo ouvido de dentro do quarto após às 22h. Além disso, na segunda noite tocaram no nosso quarto três vezes no meio da noite. Tentamos ligar para a recepção para falar, mas o telefone não funcionava. No dia seguinte fui avisar na recepção, que ficou de ver o funcionamento do telefone mas depois não nos retornou. Também ficou de verificar na câmera o que aconteceu, mas também não nos retornou. Isso nos deixou muito inquietos para dormir e fez com a gente se sentisse inseguro. Outra questão foi que pedimos a limpeza de quarto todos os dias para às 10h e um dia não foi realizada nem no meu quarto e nem no outro quarto da minha família que estava na mesma reserva. Os funcionários do café da manhã não eram nem um pouco simpáticos e solícitos, com exceção da funcionária Marina. Marina estava presente no café da manhã a partir do meu terceiro dia e ela fez toda a diferença! Ela foi muito simpática e atenciosa todos os dias que estava lá, nos tratando com muito carinho. O café da manhã era simples, com poucas opções de frutas e pães. Foi o suficiente, mas não sei se vale o preço pago. Os funcionários da recepção foram simpáticos sempre que falei com eles.

The staff was amazing from Andrea, Barbara and Xavier at the front desk. Ismael who worked tirelessly during the overnight shift to find my airpods that were accidentally mixed up with the linens. He actually combed through the hotel’s dirty laundry to find my AirPods. I truly thought that they were lost and I was ready to buy another pair. The morning restaurant crew were also fantastic. They remembered our names, orders and special requests. I had the opportunity to meet one of the front desk managers who was equally as impressive. I cannot say enough about the staff, location and property. Every request was welcomed and accommodated with a smile and “of course, no problem”. Central Location is great and within walking distance to plaza mayor, Madrid palace, museo del prado, shopping, including high end stores and restaurants. The Terraza La catorce is on the top floor of hotel and is posted on IG as one of Madrid’s summer bars with a view. What’s not cool? We stayed in apartment one floor below it where you can hear the noise. We wanted to walk upstairs to join the party but were told by staff it was a private party. We have local friends that went up there separately and they were let in. So staff lied. Restaurant downstairs breakfast is sub-par and so was service. We had our own patio with an outer “tub” and we made use of the washer/dryer during our stay. We also had children with us so recommend getting a two bedroom. 1 bedroom will be tight for a family of 4. Overall location is best for this spot.

First, the location is outstanding. We walked 10 minutes to Museo del Prado, Plaza de Cibeles. The room is like small apartment with space enough for 4 -5 adults. We had terrace with a jacuzzi. Even tough the hotel is in the Gran Via Ave we did not have any problems with the nouse of the cars, etc I will repeat this hotel in my next visit to Madrid.

The hotel is close to everything. And Busses run all day and night to get around and enjoy the towns beautiful buildings and museums. Breakfast was pleantiful and delicous. Staff was very helpful and polite. I wish i couldve stayed longer.

Excelente lugar, muy moderno, bonito, en la Gran Vía a unos pasos de todo. Llegamos justo el día del apagón en España y el personal muy amable, nos ayudaron a subir el equipaje al 2o piso por las escaleras. Y eran puras chicas. El desayuno muy completo y muy rico. En definitiva volvería al mismo lugar

Spacious and it was a huge bonus to have washer dryer in the room. Location was very convenient but it was also very loud some evenings as we could hear all the noise from the rooftop bar. Very loud. Its a beautifull place, located in the middle of everything and still quiet. Downside, restaurant disorganized: the first day I was theresomething happened and the cook left and they had no food. I had to leave and gonto another restaurant. Room service nevwr picked up the phone. Bar service was great. Otherwise, I will definitelly stoy there again and avoid restaurant and room service.

Location, staff, breakfast - all above expectations. The one thing to mention - the pool has magnificient views, really cool rooftop bar next to it and provides amazing vibe - but is very shallow. Ankle-deep. So, while good for soaking after hot afternoon stroll, it is not for swimming. The kids enjoy it nevertheless!

I had an amazing stay. If something was not okay with the room (broien tv, shower leaks) they repait it or move us in abother room. The A/C works very well. They sould watch sometimes the pool deck because some parents let their kids fight in water and play and splash other guests like if they were at the WaterPark. I had an argue with a parent about that.
