Excelente ubicación! No hay rampa para subir las maletas de la calle a la recepción ni nadie que te ayude! “Room service” pésimo ya que no es del hotel y debes llamar a un número externo. Mi primer boche el aire acondicionado no funcionaba con el calor en Madrid imposible dormir, y para reportarlo el teléfono tampoco… lo reporte en la mañana y 4 horas después nada! Volví a bajar a recepción y finalmente tuvieron que cambiarme de cuarto

Es un hotel cerca de Plaza España. Difícil subir el equipaje pues tienen varios escalones antes de llegar al check-in y ascensores, no tienen botones en la entrada para ayudarte. Reserve una habitación premium y me dieron uno estándar. Cuando fui a reclamar, me dicen que es el premium el que me dieron y que las fotos que vi en la aplicación de Expedia estaban desactualizado. (La habitación que me dieron es idéntica a las fotos de una habitación estándar y a mi parecer, sobre vendieron las habitaciones premium y no quisieron asumir la responsabilidad).

Starting with the positives the hotel is in a good location with many restaurant and entertainment options. The property itself is very dated and in dire need of a facelift. In the back of the hotel where all the balconies face there is construction going on so it's extremely noisy from as early as 6:00 a.m. The hotel breakfast is okay but I kid you not when I say that during the 9 days of my stay the items on offer never changed once. It felt as though I was stuck in some time loop or a bad version of groundhog day. It also seems there may be some problem with their management system because for three consecutive days someone either knocked on the door or called on the phone to ask if I was checking out. Finally, during my stay I planned to use the little fitness center in the hotel. When I went to take a look I noticed a sign posted which stated that there was a €9 charge per person. There is no way anyone off the street would ever come in to use that tiny fitness center so I could only conclude that this was an additional surcharge for hotel guests. This probably explains why I never saw anyone use the facilities.

We only stayed 1 out of 4 nights here because the AC went out, but I will say this. We were treated very well by the staff during our stay. We had to leave because the electricity went out on our second morning there. The hotel was SO quick to book us into another Melia Hotel (Melia Princesa) which is a 5 star hotel and paid for our taxi to get there. I have no doubt we would have had a lovely stay at this original hotel, though. One area of improvement could be more lighting in the room and bathrooms. The bathroom was a little small, but fine! The fastness of upgrading our stay to the new hotel was unmatched! We appreciate the staff at this hotel, and enjoyed our stay in Madrid!

I booked this property expecting the standards of a 4‑star hotel, but unfortunately my stay fell far short of that expectation. • Cleanliness & Maintenance: The bathroom was extremely small, and the white tub had pink edges that suggested mold and a lack of proper scrubbing. Curtains were gray and torn from repeated use, the hard floors showed stains and dirt that could have easily been cleaned, and the furniture was old and worn. Bath towels were thin and of poor quality. • Comfort: The bed was serviceable but not the plush, comfortable standard one would anticipate from a 4‑star establishment. • Noise: The most disruptive issue was noise. My room was located on the 5th floor near the stairway and elevators, and there was constant disturbance at all hours. Cigarette smell in the room was overwhelming. Dirty carpet. Stained. Smell of 1974 all over. Facilities are dated. Supposed to get an upgrade because they lost my previous reservation I did, to a room with the worst view of Madrid.

I was able to leave all my luggage there before checking and after checkout to keep exploring the city. Place is super clean. Breakfast was convenient and great to start the day and at a good price also. Hotel location is excellent.

We loved the location, it was great, right in the middle of the busy street, great night life, convenient to all. The room was new, clean and the beds and comforters were really nice and cozy. The best one among all the hotels we staying during this trip. We also loved the bathroom, very classy, considering the price, worth it.

Got a king room with Gran via view hoping to get one with a terrace. (As it said some of the king rooms came with terraces.) And I did get a terrace. Room was enormous - more of a suite as it had a separate tiny room in between the bedroom and bathroom that contained a non-functioning eliptical trainer. I can't even describe the terrace well other than it was enormous and overlooked the Gran Via and had a table with a couple of chairs on it. It was a covered terrace so rain which we had the first day was not an issue. The sofa, chairs, table and carpet in the main room were dated and would benefit greatly to be updated. Bed was fine and seemed far newer. Anyway, for $138 USD a night can't be at the accomodations and location I got.

The property was very clean with the exception of one wall in the room, which I figured is bumped with luggage. The balcony had a nice sunset view. The beds are very hard and the walls are very thin, the noise from the neighboring rooms woke me up.

Lo mejor fue el personal, los servicios de Lazaro y Cristina Simon fueron siempre serviciales y con un genuino interés por ayudar. Tuve problemas para hacer check-in con mi vuelo y Lazaro fue mas allá de sus funciones y llamó a la linea y buscó opciones que facilitaron mi regreso a casa. El personal del restaurante tambien bien dispuesto a ayudar. Sobre la habitación y el hotel en general, en mi opinión necesita mas mantenimiento, el cuarto necesita pintura urgente, los muebles necesitan cuidado están descascaradas las maderas las butacas maltratadas, la alfombra del lobby está bien manchada, mejor quitarla.En esa area tambien ese sofá se ve bien maltratado por todas las personas que se sientan en el lobby. La primera puerta de entrada al hotel se demora al abrir lo que podria ocasionar un accidente innecesario que pueden evitar. Termino general está bien, pero pueden mejorar para que logren estar mejor posicionados dentro de la competencia de hoteles que les rodean, porque la ubicación es excelente.
