I had a positive stay at this hotel. The staff were friendly and helpful. Upon arrival, even before the official check-in time, they kindly offered to store my luggage so I could begin sightseeing right away. They also provided a complimentary shuttle to the bus terminal, which was very convenient. It is an easy walk downhill from the bus station to the hotel, but carrying luggage back uphill can be a challenge—so the shuttle was much appreciated. The room itself was clean, quiet, and comfortable, with excellent shower water pressure. The spa facilities are a highlight, though each has its own character. The 6th-floor spa offers a beautiful view of the lake. It features a small outdoor warm bath (suitable for two) and a large indoor warm bath, but no sauna, steam bath, or cold plunge. The basement spa, on the other hand, is more extensive, with a large outdoor bath overlooking a stone waterfall, a spacious indoor warm bath, a cold plunge bath, and a sauna. The sauna was not operating during my early-morning visit at 6 a.m., though to be fair, this may have been due to the early hour. The traditional Japanese breakfast was excellent, and the dining room provided a gorgeous view of the lake and surrounding mountains, making for a memorable start to the day. Overall, this property offers great service, very good value, and an excellent location. I would gladly recommend it to other travelers.

Front desk staff speak good English. Room is clean and comfy. Most of us stayed at the basic standard Japanese style room and the huge Mt. Fuji is right behind the window. Huge carpark right across the street. I particularly want to give compliments to a front desk lady named 花梨（a taiwanese pretty lady). I lost my key for my luggage case. 花梨 proactively approached more than one local key man to help me opened the luggage case, which finally saved it from being forced opened and damaged.

Very impressive experience, staff are nice, helpful and can speak english. Wonderfull meal and breakfast. Parking is easy and close by. This hotel respect privacy. Just make sure to book lake view room, otherwise there is a chance that you will be assigned to the older wing/building of this hotel without outside view. Finally, try out all of their amazing hot spring is a must!! Will book again and recommend to others.

Room was very run down, smelt musky and was overall dirty. Mould on the lampshade for example and cushions stained. Foyer and hallways also smelt terrible with carpets looking like they have never been cleaned. Staff were welcoming and friendly, can't fault them... Paid way too much for this place and feel ripped off.

Good location but hotel is old and has a weird smell. Daily onsen tax due at checkout. Shower had mildewy smell and visible mold on tile. Turned me off to even try the hotel onsen because I was afraid it was too dirty. Very traditional breakfast and nice experience every morning. It will definitely have you try new foods. Shuttle was helpful to the station.

The staff spoke great English and were super friendly. We enjoyed both the public onsen options, both really different, clean, relaxing, had great bath prody, and were fun to experience. The traditional breakfast was the best we had. Only complaint might be that the mattresses were pretty thin, but we were only there one night, so it was fine. Overall amazing experience!

Very nice Japanese traditional style hotel. The location is great, close to the sight-seeing bus line and to the cable car lift. The bath is great, with good views on the 7th floor. it is a pity the room we had doesn't have a view though. The staff are nice, very polite. They also provide car service to and from the Fujikawaguchiko Station, which is nice!

It was a very pleasant 2-night stay in Kasuite Ohya. Credit is given to the room service staff Yumi who was very friendly and cute, always smile, and helped us celebrate our wedding anniversary. Also thank you the hotel for arranging us the Mountain Fuji view room and serving us white wine for the special day. The hotel was very clean, and in a convenient location. There are two onsen places inside the hotel (Lv B1 and 7/F), pretty enough for serving all guests, and I was able to enjoy the onsen by myself sometimes. The negative point of the hotel is that the weak sound proof, we can hear noises of the road and next door. Yet, it’s still in an acceptable level. The other thing is about the food, the breakfast is not as deluxe as expected, mainly serving vegetable dishes. Overall, a nice experience still!

Exceeded all expectations. Firstly time at ryokan and by far it's my favorite part of my Japan trip. The staff were all extremely friendly and professional. Rooms were clean and had all the amenities I needed. The baths were amazing. Highly recommend.

The location is good, just by the lake shore. Staff are very helpful with remarkable English, especially 菅付君 who greeted us and managed to find a taxi for us in a very short notice. One of us have food allergy, they had prepared alternate food menu. We have to leave early, then they prepared breakfast box for us. Lastly, we left a bag of souvenirs in the room, they sent them to Tokyo for us promptly.

The whole ryokan experience was great with only 2 things that needs to be improved. First being the in-room dinner service: the staff didn't mention that meal was being served as courses and we thought the initial portion served was the entire thing. The rice was missing so I had to check with the reception on this. It was confusing on both ends as receptionist mentioned that the staff would have informed us that dinner is served 3 courses but we were not aware. Food was great and delicious but do not expect to take your own sweet time to eat. Staff will clear it within 1 hour even if you have not finished eating. Second thing was that the bidet was not working! Receptionist was informed twice and they said they will check it out but nothing was fixed.. was honestly really disappointed in this. The payable private onsen wasn't anything spectacular, not worth the JPY 3,300 IMHO.

I had to leave earlier in the morning than I originally expected, so I was going to miss the complimentary breakfast. When I told the staff to cancel my breakfast, they offered me a lunch bento to take with me instead. Incredible service and very kind staff.

Staff was amazing. Location was great, near Lawson convenience store. Breakfast was good. Less than 10 mins walk to Kawaguchiko station. If you have luggage, you can call them to arrange for shuttle pick-up. You can also book private onsen for an additional charge.

The location is perfect. It is in front of the lake and we could travel to surrounding areas to view Mt. Fuji easily. We stayed two nights.The two dinners were very good but the breakfast on the second day was a bit unsatisfactory.

Starting from the check-in service, dining experience, room cleaniness, hotel amenities, convenient location, we were very happy to stay at this hotel. Not sure why this is a 3 star hotel. I had a 5 star experience with the customer service staff. I booked a standard room and wanted to upgrade. The room I got(although last minute) had a really nice view to the lake. The place is really well maintained and the food was good. I will definitely come back.

Locatie was goed, wat verouderd groot hotel. Eten was oké, we vonden slechts enkele gerechten lekker. Ik kreeg omdat ik geen rundvlees at 3 x speklap in mijn menu. Dit had echt anders gekund. Jammer. Pluspunten Mount Fuji goed te zien vanuit dit gebied.En je wordt opgehaald en terug gebracht treinstation.
