Stayed 1 night

Just back from staying in the family room and I must say we found the place mostly very tired and dated. The heating was on all night and the valve on the radiator was snapped off in our room and not attached meaning we couldn’t adjust the heat. I don’t mind the heating on, but we heard others complaining in the morning too. The shower head only let half the water out and was leaking all over. I adjusted the head which stopped the leaking but didn’t solve the water flow problem. We could hear noise from the pub downstairs until almost midnight and the walls are so thin you could hear conversations from adjacent rooms. It does look like other parts of the hotel have been invested in but sadly not the room we were in. I mentioned all our grumbles on check out and it seemed to be dismissed as if she knew about these problems already. Breakfast was pretty average, all the hot cooked food was very greasy. But the cold selection was good and coffee machine options too were good. Good parking available and was very close to the zoo we were visiting nearby. We had dinner in the evening too and that was all enjoyed, felt a bit expensive for pub food but was nice enough so no real issues with that area. Pub/restaurant seemed busy enough so must be popular to locals which is good to see
