Superb overnight stay. We were upgraded from the barns to the main island. First room had a very squeaky bed so we were moved without question. Room was small but beautifully appointed. Comfortable bed with luxurious bedding. Delicious mini buns welcoming us in the room. Well stocked complimentary fridge. Grounds are spectacular even in winter - lots of seating areas which must be wonderful in summer. Hope to return!

Service was amazing, the property was great and clean, the room was comfortable with complimentary drinks that were much appreciated after a long travel day and the parking was so convenient. I have to say the restaurant was very pricy for what you get- and at that price I personally think you shouldn’t have to pay for bread and a bottle of water- but that’s just my two-cents. Otherwise, awesome stay!

Good stay, a good room, great staff, food was good too. It is a stunning location and a super building. Will stay again. I rented an electric car and it would have been great to have a charging point at the hotel, but maybe in the future.

Lovely location and property, the bar is very cosy and pleasant and the rooms are as well. The room was 21.5 degrees when I arrived and the bathroom had heated flooring. Bit too warm for me but good for most people I assume. Some of the doors could have done with a new handle.or hinge, but it's a minor gripe in an otherwise excellent hotel.

Lovely unique property on an island surrounded by the Thames River. Stunning setting as you enter across a bridge, then faced with beautiful white buildings, canal boat spa, greenery with squirrels and ducks everywhere. Very peaceful. Breakfast was outstanding, great taste, hot, and plenty of it. Lots of choices too. Attentive staff! Highly recommend!!

We celebrated a 60th Birthday with a Lady's weekend in the Sundial Cottage - we were able to spend the whole weekend together without having to separate until we were ready to retire - we all had our own rooms ensuite. The common areas were comfortable and the private garden was lovely. The massages were wonderful. I look forward to returning. Thank you!

Lovely Hotel and we would happily go back, points to keep in mind : 1- No EV charging available, which in this day and age is a bit of a no-no. 2- Rooms are on the small side, admittedly you will only be sleeping there, but still ! 3- Terrace rooms with river view, you hardly get to see the river because of overgrown bushes. 4- The Lounge with complimentary water, Tea & Coffee is a welcome surprise. 5- Did see a few cobwebs, on the bridge and also on some of the lamps etc. I am sure this can be kept clean.

I booked this place because it was 20 mins from LHR and was close to Heston’s Bray if I fancied a culinary hit. I booked the room that was available on Expedia, a Barn room, but upon arrival was ‘upgraded’ to the main accommodation block. It’s worth remembering that the Barn is on the main car park, so worth consideration as to whether a booking suits your needs. Main block accommodation, for those who can’t nab, or afford the Wedgwood suite, is tight for space, my room measuring a cosy 12m3 while housing a desk, bed and shower room; even solo, I felt cramped. I didn’t eat at the onsite restaurant or drink at the Monkey Bar, but the building housing them looked pleasant and the island itself, even in a wintry setting, is a draw card. Parking is easy and the smooth trundle for wheelie bags is about 200m to your room; that was even an easy hike for my rucksack! Overall, lovely setting, small rooms and really fast to the airport…and probably enough character to keep you out of Heathrow’s Hotel Row.

It felt like we were mis-sold a tiny and overpriced room in the converted barn, thinking we were getting a country estate experience in the common areas. There is just one small and stuffy lounge in the main building, and the lady sitting outside it was grumpy and surprised we even asked about common areas. Such a massive disappointment. Also, the rubbish bin had not been emptied after the previous guests, including a dirty cotton stick on the carpet.

Fabulous!!!! Beautiful setting, very picturesque. We went for a temple room, it was on the ground floor with views of the garden. Extremely comfortable bed, spotlessly clean. Staff were really delightful and helpful. Our only gripe is the breakfast…. £40 plus 12.5 service charge is extortionate

Amazing property, beautiful estate, rooms are beautiful, clean and so comfortable. One of the best breakfasts I’ve seen and service is just flawless. We had a minor issue with room billing and team did their best to solve it and make sure we leave on a good note.

The hotel room was clean abit on the small side. We were lucky to get an upgrade which I am thankful for. The only two issues were the food at the bar was not great also you have to pay additional tax which I have never seen at any other hotel I have stayed at. The hotel also had an incentive that they offer £20 towards food and drink which was not honoured which left a sour taste when leaving the hotel. Unfortunately it’s not the £20 that is an issue it’s the principle of it.

Lovely hotel in a unique, peaceful location. Well placed for visits to one of the restaurants in Bray, although still a little far to walk. The rooms in the hotel are nice, but very small. The showers really good and the soft drinks in the mini bar are free which was a nice touch.

A short 1 night trip away the beautiful grounds of this hotel took our breathe away, we really felt we were in the middle of the countryside and the lovely river flowing around only added to this. Our room in the main section was a little small BUT modern, all recently refurbed with underfloor bathroom heating and a lovely comfortable bed and absolutely perfect for our short trip - any more than 3 nights and you'd probably run out of space. The staff were all so friendly and helpful, exceeded my expectations - would definitely visit again when in the area.

Appreciated the upgrade to room on the island, but a/c would not cool the room. All the indicators on the thermostat were right but couldn't get below 23 degrees. Nice to walk around half the island but hotel buildings block off the other end. Staff friendly and location great for visiting Bray.

Amazing property, beautiful estate, rooms are beautiful, clean and so comfortable. One of the best breakfasts I’ve seen and service is just flawless. We had a minor issue with room billing and team did their best to solve it and make sure we leave on a good note.

The hotel room was clean abit on the small side. We were lucky to get an upgrade which I am thankful for. The only two issues were the food at the bar was not great also you have to pay additional tax which I have never seen at any other hotel I have stayed at. The hotel also had an incentive that they offer £20 towards food and drink which was not honoured which left a sour taste when leaving the hotel. Unfortunately it’s not the £20 that is an issue it’s the principle of it.

Lovely hotel in a unique, peaceful location. Well placed for visits to one of the restaurants in Bray, although still a little far to walk. The rooms in the hotel are nice, but very small. The showers really good and the soft drinks in the mini bar are free which was a nice touch.

I booked this place because it was 20 mins from LHR and was close to Heston’s Bray if I fancied a culinary hit. I booked the room that was available on Expedia, a Barn room, but upon arrival was ‘upgraded’ to the main accommodation block. It’s worth remembering that the Barn is on the main car park, so worth consideration as to whether a booking suits your needs. Main block accommodation, for those who can’t nab, or afford the Wedgwood suite, is tight for space, my room measuring a cosy 12m3 while housing a desk, bed and shower room; even solo, I felt cramped. I didn’t eat at the onsite restaurant or drink at the Monkey Bar, but the building housing them looked pleasant and the island itself, even in a wintry setting, is a draw card. Parking is easy and the smooth trundle for wheelie bags is about 200m to your room; that was even an easy hike for my rucksack! Overall, lovely setting, small rooms and really fast to the airport…and probably enough character to keep you out of Heathrow’s Hotel Row.

Fabulous!!!! Beautiful setting, very picturesque. We went for a temple room, it was on the ground floor with views of the garden. Extremely comfortable bed, spotlessly clean. Staff were really delightful and helpful. Our only gripe is the breakfast…. £40 plus 12.5 service charge is extortionate

The only disappointment was the dinner we had in the restaurant on our first night. It looked amazing, but tasted of nothing. Everything else was fabulous.

Absolutely charming hotel. Lovely feeling to be sleeping on a small island. We went on a lovely walk around Bray and the Thames. Food at breakfast and dinner was fabulous.

Service was amazing, the property was great and clean, the room was comfortable with complimentary drinks that were much appreciated after a long travel day and the parking was so convenient. I have to say the restaurant was very pricy for what you get- and at that price I personally think you shouldn’t have to pay for bread and a bottle of water- but that’s just my two-cents. Otherwise, awesome stay!

Lovely unique property on an island surrounded by the Thames River. Stunning setting as you enter across a bridge, then faced with beautiful white buildings, canal boat spa, greenery with squirrels and ducks everywhere. Very peaceful. Breakfast was outstanding, great taste, hot, and plenty of it. Lots of choices too. Attentive staff! Highly recommend!!

We had a lovely weekend stay for my partner’s birthday. The views from the room were beautiful and it was really nice to have a private balcony overlooking the river. It was only a couple of minutes drive to Bray Village, which was perfect, as we were having dinner at one of the restaurants. The breakfast the following day was delicious too, and the complimentary drinks were a nice touch. Thank you

Lovely location despite the rain . Staff lovely and room very clean with nice views . Loved the underfloor heating in the bathroom .Difficult to control the heating in the bedroom however .Nice bar area and great breakfast . Had dinner in the restaurant . Staff there were very attentive and food fine. I would say the dinner was nothing particularly special.
