Fairfield Inn & Suites by Marriott Ottawa Kanata

We returned for another stay at this location. This is one of our go-to hotels when we stay in Ottawa, specifically in Kanata. Our room this time was more spacious with a king size bed and sitting area with a pullout couch, chair and table. Bathroom amenities were fully stocked. Everything else was in working order. Situated just off the highway with several ships and restaurants within a kilometre away makes this an ideal for travellers. There is plenty of foliage around the hotel that keeps the traffic noise very low. We stayed in a ground floor room facing the busy intersections and could barely hear the traffic. We’ve also stayed in a room facing the back of the property and had the same experience with noise. Breakfast has a nice variety of food to choose from the hot and cold selections. There is a free coffee/tea bar located in the lobby for guests. There is also a small shopping area to purchase snacks and other items. If you prefer to dine in, the desk clerks can provide you with a list of various restaurants in the area. Eat your meal in the hotel dining area if you prefer not to eat in your room. No issues with parking. There is plenty of parking. However, be careful because right now it appears that they are doing some work. We found a large rusty nail on the ground in the parking lot. They have large bins in the lot for all of the debris. Lastly, the staff are Excellent. Professional, courteous, friendly every single time you approach them. All of them.

This hotel and its location is one of our favourites. Its ideally situated nestled amongst the trees and bushes right off the highway and close to shopping and eateriesand the Scotiabank Centre of you're interested in catching a hockey game or concert. It is quiet considering it is right off the highway as well as surrounded by busy intersections. This hotel is clean and offers well-balanced breakfast options. There is a swimming pool, fitness room with some free weights and machines. You can even do a load or two of laundry if need be. The parking is outside and there is plenty of space both in front, alongside the property and at the back of the property. The staff are fantastic. They are courteous, friendly, knowledgeable and professional. We feel at home when we stay here. With our postsecondary student in Ottawa, this isniur go to home away from home even if only for a weekend while we visit. Our room was clean and well-maintained. Beds are extremely comfortable. The room is cozy and roomy enough to move around. You won't be disappointed choosing this hotel for your next visit to the area.

The property is a bit old but well maintained. The staffs are very helpful and kind.

Very nice hotel, friendly staff, comfy bed. Our room was an accessible room that just happened to be across from the prep rooms for the staff, so there was some extra noise when they started preparing for breakfast in the morning. Otherwise, it was a great stay and I would definitely come back again.

Fantastic hotel all around. I loved the location, super clean and the staff was friendly. The breakfast was all the standard items but slightly upgraded from what you normally see. Extra sauces, trail mix etc. Breakfast area was very clean and staff was amazing
