The only thing we didn't like about this hotel was the limited parking at the hotel however saying that the nearby local station (tourist train) is free parking between 6pm and 9am so it wasn't a problem and we paid for an additional couple of hours the following morning at a cost of £2.50. Dog friendly though the room was a bit warm. Even with the windows open it was quite quiet outside. Also its at the end of the beach that is also dog friendly. Staff were friendly room pretty large. The shower was excellent good strong flow of hot water. Large pretty good quality all English breakfast. The Hotel is far enough away from the Butlins end that its not too busy.

we were greeted with friendliness rooms were tidy no complaints bit tricky finding car parking not enough spaces and found no internet whether there was internet or not was not told about it but never the less would go back to the beach hotel again

The hotel listing did not match the offering provided by the hotel. After a day of driving 300 miles, all I need from a hotel is a restaurant and decent room. The listing did not state the food service stopped at 3pm, which is not ideal for when working away. The downstairs is not setup for guests to lounge and the bar shuts at 9pm. The room was basic and spacious. Bed comfortable but the shower was a bath mixer which was hard to regulate the temperature.

We went midweek in july 2025. Plenty of on street parking, with a blue badge is free. Nice shopping street, a stones throw from the sea front and beach and the station. For steam trains. Hotel was lovely, renovated, very nicely done. We booked deluxe double, it was very big, really lovely, sea front , perfect. Minehead is close to the moor, short drive up to viewing points. Excellent fish and chips next to the station. Not been to minehead for decades and was pleasantly surprised how nice theyve made it especially the sea front. All dog friendly including the hotel. Would recommend.

An overnight stay which was a loyalty redemption,have a lovely seaview,room is huge & comfortable,very clean,small car park for about 8 cars & we got a space,check in at reception was quick & friendly,didn't see a lift in hotel & were on 2nd floor but stairs were fine,my first impression on arrival was i would definitely stay here again & hopefully the same room

The Beach Hotel is a social enterprise run by the YMCA as an apprenticeship scheme. In light of this we had quite modest expectations for our stay. But these were misplaced - the hotel is spotlessly clean, and run by professional, welcoming staff. The occasion was a large family reunion, and the restaurant served us all with a good simple dinner in an efficient and timely way. Service was excellent. The location opposite the beach is delightful and quite quiet - and very convenient for the West Somerset Railway which is warmly recommended as an arrival route.
The Beach Hotel is a social enterprise run by the YMCA as an apprenticeship scheme. In light of this we had quite modest expectations for our stay. But these were misplaced - the hotel is spotlessly clean, and run by professional, welcoming staff. The occasion was a large family reunion, and the restaurant served us all with a good simple dinner in an efficient and timely way. Service was excellent. The location opposite the beach is delightful and quite quiet - and very convenient for the West Somerset Railway which is warmly recommended as an arrival route.

Staff were very attentive, helpful and professional. Our pre-ordered breakfasts were cooked to perfection. Our room was very clean & the bottled water, choices of teas/coffees and biscuits were greatly appreciated. The room would benefit from the addition of a mirror, clothes rail & maybe coat hooks.

The rooms were decent, however a few stains on the bedding and curtains and black mold on the window edges. Stains on the carpet too. I stayed in the suite and two others stayed in a 2x single bed room. They said the mattresses were hard to sleep on, not soft at all. Additionally, there was an incident downstairs in the lobby, in which we were sorting through our belongings and amongst them were sanitary towels. The receptionist ran off to go around the bar and were whispering and giggling with the bartender girls while looking at our family. Very immature, and made us feel uncomfortable about something that is entirely normal for women. One of my family members was especially affected because they have autism, and the reaction from the staff made them feel embarrassed and very uncomfortable. That was the only really bad part of the experience. The breakfast is decent, hashbrowns were a bit solid and burnt but other than that very good. There was an older woman, a member of staff who was very lovely and helpful towards the end of our stay however, so thank you very much.

We stayed for only one night. In the deluxe double room. The sea view was great, the room was clean and very spacious. Two down sides, walls were very thin, we could here everything from the room next door; the shower was quite poor, it workshy hold a constant temperature. Staff and breakfast were great.

Stayed sunday night so restaurant not open for evening meal but the breakfast was excellent. Room was clean bright and fresh great view of railway and the sea. Bathroom was clean and fresh with a powerful hot shower. Managed to park on site . Would definitely recommend this hotel and will stay again. All the staff we spoke to were friendly and helpful.

Breakfast was flavoursome with juices, teas and coffees on offer with cereal and croissants, jam, honey and marmalade.The cooked breakfast was ordered during check in and again tasty. I had a cheese omelette and my husband the fried English. Location also ideal and travel options on hand if you wanted to travel a little bit further. We’d also like to recommend the cinema in town- well worth a visit. We will recommend the hotel to friends and family and will definitely return. The room was OK, a lot of noise from the room upstairs with very little sound deadening, old fashioned taps and the shower went hot and cold. But, a good breakfast and great location. Staff were great.

Great location for both the high street and the beach, the room was a good size with a sea view. The only problems we had was the WiFi connection never worked and if using the shower water would go everywhere as the curtain provided didn’t seem to stop anything so you had to be a bit careful other than that the staff were very helpful and friendly the breakfast cooked options had a good variety and the hotel was clean and well maintained.

Great location, and I love the aim of the project! The room was a good size, very comfortable but because of the age of the building it lacks A/C. Opening the window made the room fresh and breezy, but a bit noisy as it looks out onto the main street

Friendly and helpful staff. Lovely feel to the bar and restaurant with a coastal theme. Bedroom was spacious and clean. Delicious food in the restaurant for our evening meal and breakfast. Would definitely stay again.

The Beach Hotel is a social enterprise run by the YMCA as an apprenticeship scheme. In light of this we had quite modest expectations for our stay. But these were misplaced - the hotel is spotlessly clean, and run by professional, welcoming staff. The occasion was a large family reunion, and the restaurant served us all with a good simple dinner in an efficient and timely way. Service was excellent. The location opposite the beach is delightful and quite quiet - and very convenient for the West Somerset Railway which is warmly recommended as an arrival route.

Great location for both the high street and the beach, the room was a good size with a sea view. The only problems we had was the WiFi connection never worked and if using the shower water would go everywhere as the curtain provided didn’t seem to stop anything so you had to be a bit careful other than that the staff were very helpful and friendly the breakfast cooked options had a good variety and the hotel was clean and well maintained.

In a great location, this simple hotel gives good honest service and accommodation, it overlooks the beach and the train station, from which you can travel back in time on a steam train. The town is just down the road and for bigger shops, there are 3 supermarkets 10 minutes walk away. You can walk along the promenade in either direction, and a visit to the harbour is well worth the walk. The hotel offers complimentary breakfast, and has tea, coffee and cakes on sale during the day. Overall I think the hotel offers great value for money and a great location from which to enjoy Minehead.

We went midweek in july 2025. Plenty of on street parking, with a blue badge is free. Nice shopping street, a stones throw from the sea front and beach and the station. For steam trains. Hotel was lovely, renovated, very nicely done. We booked deluxe double, it was very big, really lovely, sea front , perfect. Minehead is close to the moor, short drive up to viewing points. Excellent fish and chips next to the station. Not been to minehead for decades and was pleasantly surprised how nice theyve made it especially the sea front. All dog friendly including the hotel. Would recommend.

The hotel listing did not match the offering provided by the hotel. After a day of driving 300 miles, all I need from a hotel is a restaurant and decent room. The listing did not state the food service stopped at 3pm, which is not ideal for when working away. The downstairs is not setup for guests to lounge and the bar shuts at 9pm. The room was basic and spacious. Bed comfortable but the shower was a bath mixer which was hard to regulate the temperature.

Stayed sunday night so restaurant not open for evening meal but the breakfast was excellent. Room was clean bright and fresh great view of railway and the sea. Bathroom was clean and fresh with a powerful hot shower. Managed to park on site . Would definitely recommend this hotel and will stay again. All the staff we spoke to were friendly and helpful.

We really enjoyed our stay at the Beach hotel - we had 2 rooms, the Lee Bay(Deluxe) and North Hill (superior) for 3 nights. Both rooms were clean and comfortable, my parents were really impressed with North Hill given its size & amazing sea view, the separate bath tub in the room was classy. Location is excellent, we went across the road to enjoy the West Somerset railway for a day, and walked the other way down The Avenue where there are plenty of shops & restaurants easily reachable. A fresh-cooked full English was lovely to start the day(one of several options, there was also an onlette which my Dad enjoyed). There's a bar & cafe with plenty of seating inside & outside. All the staff were really friendly and keen to make sure we had a good stay, which we did. Would definitely visit again!

Excellent location, free parking and an easy short walk into town or down to the beach. The hotel is relaxed and the staff are friendly and welcoming. Room was very clean and en suite was lovely. Breakfast was great, plenty of choice in the continental selection. We will definitely book again when we’re back in this area. Thank you Beach Hotel for making our visit so enjoyable.
