Stayed 2 nights

The house was lovely. Nicely decorated and spacious enough for us. The location was excellent and parking was adequate and right outside the door. The lounge confort was lacking. Sofa and chairs were not suitable for lounging, we were unable to sit together comfortably - chairs in lounge had the comfort level of dining chairs. Lot of cobwebs in the tiny slot windows in lounge and bathroom, there were plates etc still in the dishwasher. Light pull in downstairs toilet had snapped off at the ceiling and was just left on the window sill. The lovely open fire which we had seen on the photos and were really looking forward to, couldn't be used because knob to turn it on was removed. We had looked forward to this cosy, weekend and it changed our whole perspective. All of this, however would have been ok if the communication had been there. I would have just contacted the host but I booked and messaged immediately, two days before we arrived, to ask whether we would be able to park in the car park a little early as check in wasn't until 4pm. I didn't receive an answer. I also didn't receive any access information and I messaged to ask for it on the morning of travel. It was suggested that I hadn't looked properly and that I must have missed it - even though the booking website told me to contact the property direct, for access information. I then had to message again to ask for access information, which annoyed me. Shame but this spoiled the overall effect for us.

Bramwood cottages are beautiful and located in a fantastic central location, close to everything in the town which we loved. We did book the Tack Room cottage, but on arrival we had been moved to the Coach House without any explanation resulting in us trying to access the Tack Room with the entry code we were given when someone else was staying there, which was quite embarrassing. The cottage itself was beautiful, and had everything you could possibly need, but we found comfort to be lacking. The bed wasnt that comfortable and the seats in the living room extremely uncomfortable. Parking was tight, but on site. Would stay again if the comfort aspect was fixed.

Nice location - property is small and functional - car parking is a nightmare - bedroom is next to main road so is noisy when trying to sleep - bed comfy and having a fireplace was nice and cosy. Gardens and alleyway to street need sone tlc.
