Palacio de Santa Inés

The room was generously sized and the view of the Alhambra was absolutely spectacular!! The location in the old city was great and very conveniently located. There were plenty of restaurants in the surrounding area, and the little red buses were convenient to take around town and up to the Alhambra. The breakfast buffet was very plentiful! Our only struggle was that there is no elevator! The staff was very helpful in assisting with our luggage, but the daily trips up/down are something to be considered. Also, at times, the hot water and water pressure were extremely minimal. This may have been because we were on the top floor.

Get an upper floor rear building room with a view of the Alhambra; it’s worth the upcharge. Breakfast buffet had a good selection of food. Our refrigerator didn’t work even after the in-house service person thought he fixed it. Management replaced the refrigerator on our second day. One tip on the electrical system of the room: there are two wall switches by the door, one operates a ceiling light, one appeared to do nothing. Apparently that second switch is a master control for some, but not all wall outlets and lights. It would be nice if management explained that. The hotel is located in a restricted access area. It can only be accessed on foot or by taxi. Streets are extremely narrow with little to no sidewalk width. The last half block is stairs.

Sentral beliggenhet. Ikke mulig å ankomme hotellet med egen bil. Måtte parkere i et parkeringshus 2 km unna. Hotellet dekket parkeringen og taxi til hotellet, men ikke tilbake. Gammelt hotel med noe sjarm. Rommet vi fikk hadde kun vindu mot innvendig gang.

スタッフは明るく気さくで親切でした。朝食も沢山の種類があり美味しいです。ホテルも赴きがありグラナダらしいインテリアでした。アルハンブラ宮殿が近く観光には最高の立地でした。一般車が入れない道にあるのとエレベーターが無いのが不便でした。

The inconveniences (such as very limited car access if you rented one, as we did) are all related to what makes this location so special, and the hotel helps wonderfully by paying for a specific parking garage and a taxi from there to the hotel, which takes no more than 10 or 15 minutes.

This was our second stay at the Palacio de Santa Ines and we chose it for it's location at the foot of the hill of the Alhambra. The rooms are compact with little hanging/drawer space. Not recommended for a long stay. The breakfast is E12 and has a reasonable cold selection but the 'hot' food was barely warm and dry. There are a couple of restaurants nearby in the Plaza de Santa Ana where you can get better. Private cars are now not allowed to the east of the Gran Villa de Colon so you have to park some way out and walk/taxi in.

This property has the classic / romantic feel to match the rest of Granada. Our room had a direct view of the Alhambra from the little living room. The main plaza is steps away. The air conditioner was efficient… which is critical in grandad bc it is HOT. Have water with you at all times. Beware there is no elevator to this room and you essentially climb four flights of stairs. Wasn’t a deal breaker for us but if you suffer from body issues this room is not for you. The city is very hilly. You might not appreciate the steps at the end of a long day. The shower/jacuzzi was a little hard to get into for me … I’m short… but was otherwise fine. The staff was super helpful and tried to help me get a last minute booking to the Alhambra. No one posts this but tickets sell out days in advance. The Alhambra takes about three hours to visit with guide sans Nasarid palace which you don’t want to miss.

Trevligt hotell i ett historiskt palats nedanför Alhambra. Lite bökigt att ta sig dit då man inte kan ta bilen. Du får parkera i centrum och gå eller ta taxi, viket var billigt och bekvämt.

This hotel is in a fabulous location in the old part of Granada. The facilities advertised include parking, but this consists of an agreement with 2 public car parks in the centre of the City at a discounted rate of 19 euros per night. They will discount a taxi to the hotel, but not back to your car. We really enjoyed our stay in the hotel and the staff were amazing

Friendly staff. Very clean

Honestly we were a little disappointed in this property. We stayed only 1 night instead of 2 as I was sick and unable to travel. The room was cute with a mezzanine for our daughter however the sheets were full of hair and we found a slipper in the bed? We went downstairs at 10pm, asked for clean sheets and the lady was unconcerned. She gave us sheets and that was that. No apologies at all. Breakfast ok. Area really nice in the Albacyn. Would not recommend.

Very old, run down hotel. Room smelled mold/humidity. Very noisy. I could hear the staff and guests talking early and late at night. Towels and linen needs to be changed. Torn and old. Never stay on 1st floor. The hotel needs refurbishing very badly.

Positive: Good location for shopping and dinning. Staff is nice. Negative: bed sheet was not replaced, hair found in the bed. All the guests in our 3 rooms said they feel itch in the body when sleeping. The room has a smell of mold. It is impossible for us to drive to the hotel since the road is too narrow to pass. We have to drive our 2 cars to the parking lot suggested by the hotel and take taxi from the parking to the hotel. We called 1 big taxi for 10 euro and 1 small taxi for 5 euro. The hotel promised to reimburse the whole single ride but finally it just reimbursed 7 euro for the 2 taxi. I highly recommend not to stay in this hotel especially when you have a car!

Overall, we loved the property. This hotel has an amazing location, which puts you within easy assess to all main attractions, and has an unbeatable view of the Alhambra. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The conditions of the rooms feel like they need a bit of a refresh. Our room had peeling paint in the shower and several dirty areas on the walls around light switches and other " high-touch" areas. Our room also could have been cleaner, as there was a significant amount of dust of the woodwork, telephone and baseboards. Lovely breakfast. Would recommend.

Escolhi esse hotel pela localização e suas avaliações boas. Porém, fui colocada no térreo, no quarto 16, um quartinho pequeno, sem espaço para abrir duas malas direito.Por ser uma construção histórica e antiga, nós ouvíamos a movimentação dos quartos de cima.O quarto até possuía uma janela, mas não podia ficar aberta nunca, pois dava para um pátio central interno da Pousada onde havia um elevador e todos passavam. Por isso era escuro e possuía um cheiro de mofo desagradável. Além disso ele ficava porta a porta com a rouparia, e pela manhã as arrumadeiras circulavam e conversavam em frente ao nosso quarto. Não havia mais nenhum quarto naquele local, todos outros eram nos andares de cima, o me deu a impressão de ser uma exceção (e falta de sorte) Talvez os outros não tenham esses problemas… Nos demais quesitos, não tenho reclamações. Funcionários educados, café da manhã bom e localização excelente.

Great location, only negatives Is the AC wasn’t great and dripped in the room. The shower head was being held up with electrical tape and opened nuts in the mini bar. The staff were friendly and helpful.

We loved our stay at Palacio de Santa Ines. We were a little early, but were allowed to check in. The employee working the front desk was SUPER friendly and helpful. Our room was on the 3rd floor and there was no elevator. No problem at all. They had someone to bring up our bags. We had a view of the Alhambra just as advertised with a nice sitting area. We were about a 20 minute walk to the Alhambra which is why we came (I would recommend taking a cab if you are going. Only about 5 minutes by taxi and avoids walking up significant hills; we learned the hard way, but at least we got our steps in :)...The walk to the main plaza from the hotel is only about 10 minutes which was great too. When we checked out the front desk called us a taxi which arrived within minutes.. I would definitely stay at this hotel again if I go back to Granada

Todo súper bien (ubicación y habitación genial). A destacar el gran trato de Aaron que ha sido excelente y súper amable. La única pega es que no hay internet y aunque hay wifi gratuito no llega bien a la habitación y no hay cobertura.

Room was clean but the decor was perhaps a little tired. It also looked out over a dilapidated set of buildings that resembled a building site - so not a particularly attractive view. Nevertheless, the place was comfortable and rhe building overall wasquite charming.

Ana at the front desk is a GEM! I give this hotel 3 stars but Ana 1000 stars! I booked an Alhambra view suite & based on the pictures, I thought it was a room with a bedroom, living room a with big jetted tub, & a big bathroom. Upon arrival I learned they were showing pictures of many different rooms online & they did not indicate anywhere that our room may be tiny with no living room/jetted tub, only considered in the suite category because of an Alhambra view. Our view was useless as there was nowhere to sit & look out the window so you only saw it if you stood right in front. I was absolutely crestfallen & burst into tears when told there was only one room like the one I thought I booked & there was no availability in that room or any higher suite level room. Ana was so sweet & bent over backwards to give me the best experience she could. She let us look in another room that had a tiny living room but no tub. We didn’t stay there because the bedroom was so small we could barely squeeze our luggage through the door because you immediately walk into the bed upon entering. The tiny toilet/shower room was right next to the bed & had an open, translucent door, so you would see & hear your partner on the toilet! I didn’t ask for compensation but Ana gave us free breakfast both days, red wine & a fruit basket. She offered us another room for our last night but I declined. Her care & kindness saved our trip. Go for Ana & the great location but set LOW expectations for your room.

Hotel was nice, the neighborhood was fantastic, and staff was incredibly helpful. We’d been trying for a week to get tickets to the Alhambra, with no luck. Upon checking in here, we casually mentioned the problem and she hooked us up within minutes. That alone warrants a good review!

Greeted with warm welcome by Aaron upon arrival. He & other attendants served us well during our four day stay in Granada. Lofted room was comfortable, cleaned daily and quiet at night. Loved the ambiance and location—easy walk to Alhambra, Sacramente district and Albicin. Close to plaza with shopping and restaurants. Don’t bring heavy luggage to this hotel unless you taxi from parking garage. Great stay, I’d go there again!

We loved our little mezzanine bedroom that comfortably accommodated the three of us. The hotel was full of charm and very conveniently located near the Alhambra. The staff was super friendly, the hotel super clean, the breakfast buffet delicious. We loved our stay at Palacio de Santa Inés hotel.

Old beautiful property, ideally located near the town center, within walkable from most attractions.

Hotel is in great location for walk to Alhambra, near hop on hop off bus and has so many shops, restaurants, Traditional tapas bars, cafes and places of interest within short walking distance. Hotel is a lovely old renovation that has so many quirky, traditional furniture in. All well maintained, very clean with comfortable and crisp bedding. You even have tea/coffee facilities in the room.

The room is small but the location is excellent. It is 13 min walk to the Alhambra, 5 min walk to the city center, about 10minutes wall to the sightseeing spot of San Nicolas, close to everything.

1 night stay as part of a tour of Andalusia- great location in the old town below Alhambra palace - our room had windows in every direction to watch the sunset and sunrise. Well equipped, comfortable and very friendly helpful staff. Good breakfast- love this hotel

It’s a great pick for a hotel in Granada, with all the restaurants and the Alhambra near by. The taxi station is down the street. Hotel called us a taxi at 6am and it arrived in one minute

Our stay at the Palacio de Santa Ines Hotel was perfect for our short trip to Granada. The staff was very friendly and the location was a great base to explore the more touristy areas of Granada. Our room was huge and we were delighted to have a separate living room. This was a great value, and we would definitely recommend it to any friends visiting the city!

This is a very nice place to stay! Very friendly, cosy and clean. It’s located in the charming Albaicin, there are tons of restaurants, museums and shopping areas around. The spectacular Alhambra is a few minutes walk, as well as the cathedral and many other attractions. There is no parking available and driving to the hotel is not possible, but you can park 20 min away and take public transport. It’s a lovely place with very good service. A real gem!

Lovely old and traditional property which was brilliantly placed for the Alhambra and other places of interest. Hotel staff were exceptionally helpful and friendly. Breakfast was excellent value at €12pp with plenty of choice. Only slight irritation was guest in next room speaking very loudly on her mobile late at night but otherwise a quiet hotel.

Our first impression of the hotel as we walked in through the front door was great: the internal courtyard is very impressive and characterful and made us feel like we were properly in Spain. The welcome on arrival was very pleasant and check in was efficient. The room itself was very spacious and comfortable fitted with effective a/c and had good storage space. The hot and cold breakfast buffet was very varied with lots to choose from. The location of the hotel was just perfect: slightly set back from the river, right in the middle of the old Moorish Albaicin district and with views of the Alhambra.

Beautiful 16th century palace with amazing view of the Alhambra. Very clean and nice size room, although some of the furnishings were a little tired. Excellent breakfast.

Beautiful historic building, wonderful amenities, comfortable rooms, great breakfast, polite and helpful staff. Highly recommended! Be ready for some stairs depending on where your room is. We had a view of the Alhambra which was magical.

Excellent hotel. We loved our room with a view, the location and the staff. The only thing we didn’t like was the small cramped breakfast room which was over filled and the quality of the food at breakfast. Even the bread wasn’t very tasty. The eggs rubber.

Well located hotel with friendly helpful staff, good sized rooms with everthing you need. Building is quite old with lots of character & charm.Misunderstanding re vip status with hotels.com soon sorted out and full size bottle of complimentary fizz given, nice touch (especially as our next hotel in seville, a large 4 star hotel only gave us a mini size bottle between 2 of us!). Breakfast buffet is very good also & well worth extra cost (if not included in your room rate.
