This hotel could be a UNESCO world heritage site with modern conveniences and top quality staff.Gorgeous courtyards and fountains. You must eat Pepian soup at the restaurant as it's the best in town. Don’t forget to go on the terrace for unreal sunsets.

We loved our stay here. Qur rooms had windows which faced the volcanoes. It was quite awesome. We ate at the restaurant, breakfast was delish. We loved listening to the live marimba music.

Por la seguridad y tranquilidad sus puertas cierran a las 9pm pero siempre se encuentra un oficial o empleado las 24 horas para recibirte y dejarte pasar o hacer el check-in. Además de ser céntrico el hotel cuenta con un patio interior hermoso y un restaurante con comida deliciosa en el cual todas las noches hacen un baile típico y tocan Marimba. El personal es amable, respetuoso y siempre buscan hacerte sentir cómodo y ayudarte a resolver cualquier situación que se te presente. Sin duda alguna, el hotel es totalmente recomendado y te llevaras una hermosa sorpresas con las llaves de los cuartos.

Absolutely beautiful older property with multiple lush courtyards and great architectural features. The rooms were relatively simple but the beds were comfortable. There was a restaurant and a bar inside the hotel. They arranged a last-minute shuttle from Antigua to the airport in Guatemala City. Very close to the arch and multiple restaurants, bars, attractions. Would definitely stay again.

The staff went above and beyond the call of duty. The restaurant is reasonably priced and food was great. Received room upgrade at no additional charge. The grounds are beautiful and the various water fountains make the stay more enjoyable. Room very clean. Location was great.

This hotel is beautiful. Its charm is something of dreams. The antique-style furniture, the rooftop dining with an amazing view of the nearby Volcano… and the staff was very helpful and there was always an English-speaker available when we needed it.

This historical hotel was beautifully landscaped and the rooms are very clean. There is hot water but our room had no AC however the weather was not terribly hot. I would definitely go back.the staff is super friendly. The location is great.

The place is beautiful. But facilities were not updated. Bathroom were not safe for older people, they should just install a handle to get in the shower and showers surprised with extreme cold water or extremely hot. The restaurant and food was excellent. Not worth the price .. there other hotels around less expensive and beautiful. I switch hotels after one day

We stayed here previously. Our room then was in a different part of the hotel and we had a wonderful time. This time, the staff were, once again, fantastic, the hotel is beautiful and the location can’t be beat. However, during this stay we had the misfortune of being assigned to room 101. It had no window and was extremely noisy. We could hear every car, conversation and footstep going down the street. It would not have been any noisier, had we grabbed our pillows and slept on the sidewalk. I recommend the hotel, but would never stay in room 101 again.

I have stayed here several time and the Don Rodrigo never disappoints. I love the large rooms and the beautiful furniture and the surroundings. Its a lovely, quiet, safe place to stay.

The hotel is beautiful, particularly the gardens, patios and rooftop with spectacular views. The decor is traditional and well maintained, however, the bed was very hard and we did not rest well. Many amenities expected in a hotel of that category and price are missing: No coffee machine, no TV apps, only one side table in our kingsize bed room, noisy bathroom exhaust, inadequate counter space in bathroom, only one towel hook. The hotel is magnificent but does not reflect attention to guest comfort. We recommend staying at a boutique hotel if you are looking for these details. However, we recommend Don Rodriguo for a couple nights if you are looking to spend time in a beautiful historical house.

Pros: Muy limpia, gran servicio, jardines muy bonitos, excelente ubicación. huge downside is that we were able to hear neighbors using bathroom, shower, etc.- paper-like walls. also there were no fans or AC so be prepared. the location of the hotel is perfect and staff are super nice.

The property was beautiful and it seemed as though each room was unique. My room had its own private outdoor space with a table and chairs, facing the main courtyard but with a gate for privacy. The restaurant on the property was great as well and we almost wished we had eaten there for more than breakfast! Tortillas were being freshly made right next to the restaurant in the mornings. The only thing that is small for me is that the wifi included with the stay was not strong and not consistent. I mostly used data from my mobile plan and that was fine as I had not planned to do more than check emails and map restaurants. I would definitely recommend this Hotel and would stay there again. Staff were so friendly. I speak some Spanish and used it all the time - I think it might have been a bit more difficult if I had no Spanish, but I am sure that the staff would have been willing to work through it. Last thing - I didn't know how to get back into the hotel at night when the door was not open. Just knock! Someone is available by the door all night.

The property is located in an premium location, easy to move around and very convenient. The room was clean. However, we were not able to sleep and rest well since other guests were too loud at late hours at night and early hours in the morning. Even though we communicated this the first night to the hotel staff, no one did anything about it. Staff members were loud after hours moving chairs and tables and loudly speaking to each other after an event they had. It seemed like the other event happening with other guests was the only thing they focused and they forgot about other guests not participating at the event.

I like that you are in the center of Antigua , walking distance to Antigua Central Park. The service in the dinning room was not the greatest , waiting for drinks was about 20 minuted after you order food, many people working but no communication between the waitress and the bar , room for 4 people only 2 towels not ok.

This Hotel has the best service I have ever had and my wife and I have been to over 20 countries. The facility is stunning so is the landscaping. The building is over 200 years and was just a serene oasis away from the hustle and bustle of Antigua just outside. We were with our 2 young kids and they were all so polite and helpful. Whoever owns this place has selected the best staff ive seen in a hotel.

I had some issues upon my initial arrival that were primarily self inflicted. The whole hotel staff went above and beyond to correct all of the situations. I would highly recommend staying here. The surrounding area here is beautiful and I would also highly recommend that you take a Viator chicken bus tour if you have the opportunity.

We had a great stay at this beautiful hotel. All of the staff were friendly, helpful and couldn’t do enough to ensure all of our needs were met. The location is perfect with many great restaurants and shopping attractions all within walking distance. Can’t wait to return!

This is a great hotel. It's beautiful and the staff is super friendly. I would only recommend that you request an inside room. If you get a room on the outer part (meaning the windows access the outside of the hotel), then be ready to hear all the noise happening in the area. The people walking by and talking and cars going by. But aside from that, I would recommend this hotel.

The hotel is beautiful and located in the heart of Antigua, only a few minutes walk from anywhere you want to go in the city. The rooms are fairly soundproof but if you're facing the main street it can still be noisy at night. The staff is also incredibly nice and helpful.
