Off-site check in was a bit confusing and took longer than it should. The rooms were clean but bathroom amenities were lacking. There was only body wash in the shower and very little of it. The dispenser was empty in our second room. Upon arrival we were surprised to hear from other guests that the restaurant was closed for dinners and also there would be no breakfast. This is a very remote guesthouse and I specifically booked it for the food availability. I booked through an online booking site as did other guests and there was no mention of the restaurant being closed. No notice or reminder text from staff either! Many guests shared the same confusion. I did see on the guesthouse website today that the restaurant closed Sept 30 but did not initially look there. Booking sites should be made aware of any closing dates. Closest town for food was 35 minutes away. This made for a challenging drive at night on an unfamiliar road. I don’t want other guests to have the same experience we had.

We loved our stay here. It was affordable, staff was so nice and the food was excellent. The hot tubs on the water were a short drive away and totally worth it. We even saw three whales while we were relaxing in the warm water! Water had a slight sulfur smell but tasted fine. The rooms were spacious and relaxing. Great value for what you get.

Basic hotel. Comfortable beds. Feels like being in a cabin in the woods even though one is by the sea. Good breakfast and friendly staff. The water smells and tastes of sulphur.

Very happy with the accommodation and fine dining options. Excellent breakfast buffet, coffee and tea in lounge areas. Walking distance to a community pool and hot tub as well as the ocean front hot pots. There is no communal kitchen access during the summer months when the dining room is open.
