Lucknam Park

We keep returning because this hotel is such a gem. Beautiful location and grounds, superb facilities. Food is just delicious, the rooms are very spacious, quiet and very comfortable beds. A complete favourite.

Our stay was perfect. As soon as we drove up the driveway to the beautiful entrance and received a warm welcome by Daniel and Brigitta, we knew we were in for a special stay. Daniel and Brigitta were so friendly and helpful. They put us at ease right away. The front office team -Gareth, Ned and Bart were outstanding and went out of their way to help out guests. The spa staff were also excellent , Dedee, Jessica, Shannon and Sami.The Spa facilities are wonderful -indoor pool, outdoor pool, infra red room, sauna,etc. The room service breakfast team were very good and delivered our delicious breakfast on time every morning. James and the French gentleman who served our cream tea in the library did an wonderful job. The scones were baked to perfection. My husband and I really enjoyed the cream tea. Our room was lovely. The gardens, the grounds and the food at The Walled Garden was amazing as was the service. Everything at Lucknam Park was top notch and flawless. The sincerity and genuine concern for their guests shows through. This was one of our favorite hotels in the forty years that we have been visiting the United Kingdom. My husband and I enjoyed our stay so much that we hated to leave. This is a peaceful oasis with horses in the fields, soothing sounds of water features, and gorgeous sitting areas. We highly recommend Lucknam Park. We will be back.

This hotel is always consistently 12 out of 10 ! Beds and pillow / rooms are excellent, so comfortable and quiet. Staff are so friendly and professional. Food is absoloutely delicious, every single mouthful. Spa is devine, kept so clean and everything always working, quite luxurious to spend time in this beautiful place, the walks are stunning.

Spectacular indoor and outdoors sauna facilities!

The Michelin star restaurant was amazing! What a fantastic dining experience. We stayed in a cottage which was so comfortable and luxurious. The spa was top notch!!

A stunning hotel in a beautiful setting. The staff are very helpful and friendly and so very welcoming. You truly felt like a VIP. Spa was wonderful. Breakfast was served by fabulous waiting staff and the food was spot on. Delicious and just the right amount. Easy on site parking and we especially appreciated the ev charging facility. There were 3 available. The garden is stunning. The only thing I would mention is that we booked a set price via Expedia for B&B, and dinner but when we checked out, we noticed a service charge had been added to our “ room rate” . We were more than happy to pay for service at the restaurant for dinner, but we were a bit surprised by that additional charge. It was not made clear on Expedia when we booked. However, we did manage to get the room service charge reduced, as the reception staff advised us that it was an “ optional charge” that was added to the bill. Good job we noticed it!

Great spa but massage prices were too inflated. Generally very good service especially the Michelin starred restaurant. Beautiful grounds. Stayed in Manor Room. Room was a bit tired and we think smelt a bit of damp. Generally, I think the biggest problem we had was with value for money. £1500+ for room only for 2 nights then another £1100 on top for dinners/drinks. Too much for overall experience.

The property is absolutely gorgeous! It blew me away! It’s so much more beautiful in person than on pictures! The staff were super friendly! The food was so good! I loved the pool area, it had 5 different type of saunas! It was so relaxing! Good place to take the kids))

We have been lucky enough to stay at some amazing Hotels all over the world, I would confidently rate Lucknam Park up near the top. Unfortunately travel commitments meant we could only stay one night, but it was well worth the effort to enjoy the comfort the Lucknam provides. The room was spacious and relaxing, the gym & spa facilities are next level and the dining options are fantastic. If you can, definitely stay here you won't be disappointed. Highly recommend

This hotel was highly rated as the best in UK… unfortunately it did not live up to this expectation. The facilities are run down; it has a nice pool that was probably amazing in its day. The breakfast was good; better than the Michelin star dinner! Our experience may have been tainted because we had just stayed at Heckfield place which was so much better! The grounds and the main house is quite beautiful. We would have loved to do some horse riding but the weather wasn’t permitting.

Had a lovely stay as a pitstop on our way over to Devon & Cornwall. The staff here is generally friendly and helpful. The facilities are kept clean and the grounds are well maintained. Enjoyed the spa during family hours, too.

My wife and I recently stayed at this hotel for one night and was thoroughly impressed. The rooms were impeccably clean, and the staff were incredibly friendly and hospitable, especially Daniel. The food was delicious, and the grounds were beautifully maintained. The swimming pool and spa was a bonus. I wish we had booked for more nights. We will definitely be coming back for sure!

The property is beautiful, the staff were largely great but at times service felt a bit chaotic. A hotel of this calibre I would have liked staff to have been more attentive. We had afternoon tea and dined in the restaurant for dinner the food is very good. I was quite disappointed with the size of our room located in the converted stable block. The room did not have aircon and our bathroom only had one light switch which was for the main lights…which wasn’t ideal during the night! No bottles of water were left in our room on either day of our stay and we had to pay extra for bottled water. Spa facilities are fantastic but again I think the staff could have been more present and attentive. Also the hydro pool is on a timer so we were unable to boost them as and when we wanted.

Superb hotel, I would give it 10 out of 5 stars ! Food is superb. Fluffy towels, very comfortable beds with super linens. Staff so so helpful. Breakfast was fabulous and the spa is outstanding. Location is just beautiful, with gorgeous views and walks. Thank you for such a wonderful stay.

What a gem of a hotel. Absolutely fabulous. Spa was lovely, the grounds stunning, the communal areas beautiful , room was lovely,comfortable bed . The waiters were so polite and accommodating. We arrived late in the afternoon and were too late for afternoon tea but the kind waiter found us some magnificent scones- which we had in the very festive and atmospheric drawing room. I ordered a glass of champagne . I thought had lost its fizz. Mentioned it to the waiter and it was changed instantly. No problem at all. What customer service. Reception staff so welcoming. Charging point for our car. The entire stay made even more magical by the snow. What a find. We will be returning.

Staffs were very friendly and polite. Ask for anything and it will arrive in minutes! The ground is absolutely beautiful and you can take a stroll to relax anywhere. Highly recommended. Just a note that the wifi is not the best and can use some upgrades.

Fantastic service above all else, albeit the property, room and facilities were outstanding the staff were definitely the highlight.

Wonderful luxurious hotel but failed on customer service Breakfast service was very slow on the second day and had to fetch black pepper and jams from another table No smoked haddock available on the 2nd day of which a 5* hotel should never run out of produce. Ebony the breakfast waitress stood out as first class and had great customer service skills No one asked us whether we had enjoyed our stay on vacating. The hospitality tray in our room was very poor with no early grey tea or hot chocolate. Having been to many 5* hotels in the UK I found this hotel to be very expensive for the service you received. Would not stay again however wonderful our room was a Master Suite it did not justify the price we paid.

Nice property with weak service, expected more for the price. Pre-arrival planning emails were never answered. Check-in staff wasn’t helpful in explaining the property and amenities, subsequent requests for concierge recommendations (towns to visit, etc.) were weak and uninformed. Property itself was lovely, pool was above average.

Nothing is too much trouble. The staff are friendly and helpful. The food is amazing and the spa is great for relaxing. The Hotel Manager is always welcoming and makes sure everything is up to standard. A very pleasant experience to be repeated.

Amazing food experience and staff were very friendly on the whole. Tea tray in room was not replenished and my requests made prior were not all followed through. Enjoyable but didn't quite hit expectations for the price.

First class location and service!

This is a British paradise. I can't tell you how much I enjoyed my six nights at this wonderful location. You really get a sense that the staff care for you like you're at their house. The location is stunning. And I don't use that word easily, but the location is rivaled by the wonderful service, excellent cuisine, and 100 little amenities. Affection and thanks to Stephen , Nicole and Felicity in the Brasserie. Tyler , one of the best waiters I have met, Sam the highly skilled masseuse, Brigitta was so kind to me, Georgina sunny attitude and my cool housekeeper Ana Marie . Guests: Please don't take kids who want to stare at cell phones, they are in a country heaven. I will see there!

Although we enjoyed our stay as a whole, we were very disappointed to find that on returning to the hotel one afternoon at around 4pm and looking forward to some tea, to be told that Afternoon Tea is only served between 1:30 and 3:00pm!! We asked if it would be possible to just have some tea and a slice of cake, but were told that no cake is served after 3pm! This seems very strange to us, as surely the prime time for tea is around 4pm? To add insult to injury, the capuccino which we did have instead of tea and cake was charged at £7.50. Even though it was served with a couple of shortbread biscuits, I find this to be an extortionate charge for a cup of coffee!

Just want to give a shout out to Alex in the spa restaurant! He went over and above at breakfast every morning!!!
